saw it last night, and loved it!!! a few things i really dug {Spoiler}Hawkeye!!!!!!
reference to Hulk (Selvig is talking about SHIELD and how ruthless they can be when they descend on the town and remove Jane's research. He mentions the disappearance of a gamma expert he knew as an example of their nefariousness. )
cosmic cube in the after credits scene
I'm guessing Hank Pym was supposed to be the colleague Selvig was refering to when he mentioned the one he could contact who's had dealings with SHIELD.

So here are my thoughts an ideas on how this leads to Avengers.
Huge threat strikes Earth, related to Loki. Pym and Bruce Banner brought in to reopen the bridge with Jane to get Thor to come help the heroes.

So far I'd rank The Avengers: Iron Man 5/5 THOR 4/5 Incredible Hulk 4/5 Iron Man 2 4/5 This looks fun, Ill do it too: Iron Man 5/5 THOR 5/5 Incredible Hulk 4/5 Iron Man 2 3/5 I hadnt realised I liked Thor as much as Ironman, but really there isnt a single thing for me to complain about Thor, flawless. I didnt care much for IM 2, too much set up for the Avengers to the point it was annoying, not enuff good action scenes, just a bunch of lame ass destroying half the city CGI, I dunno I guess I have to see it again, I did see IM and Hulk about 4 times each in the theater, probably will do so with Thor yet IM2 only once and havent bothered to buy it or pirate it.

Hiddleston was great as Loki, quite a revelation. It's amazing how sneaky he was, and yet he really was sympathetic through the whole thing, even with his machination. Quite possibly the best written villain yet in a Marvel movie. It was a great, fun movie with awesome characters. And Thor kicks so much ass. I can't wait to see him and Tony and Steve interact the first time.

Yeah, it was brilliant. I saw it over here last week, and was waiting for a thread to be made here. My only complaint would be that i was expecting a little better after-credit scene. Yeah, i know it will be a big part to the Avengers, but i don't know i was probably expecting a bit too much, i guess. Yeah, we made the right decision. ;D {Spoiler}BTW, I popped hard for Hawkeye showing up. I'm a giant fan of Renner, and he's pitch perfect as Clint. I was hoping he'd be Cap, but he has me sold, and I hope he's got a good part for the Avengers. Just makes me more excited for the next two movies.
For some reason, I think the Gamma expert they were talking about was Samuel Stearns, AKA The Leader. I think the Hulk's public name is record, and they would have referred to Banner and his exploits as the Hulk by name. Stearns, however, may have vanished off the face of the earth, and could pop up again in Avengers. That would be amazing.

Just saw it today,I loved it;my mom said that they crapped on the origin, because they've made them too much like aliens and not gods;I ignored her I fully expect my dad to make that complaint as well when he and I go see it tomorrow.

Going tonight for a second helping of Thor. I so badly want to do this. As do I. ;D This movie was f***ing awesome! Hemsworth was a beast, and fit the role perfectly. (Sorry Hunter. God that would of been horrible.) {Spoiler}He drank, he fought, he made his ancestors proud. Best line in the movie.

That still makes him a Kirk!
I enjoyed it. The more I think about it, the more I like it. My favorite thing about it is that there wasn't a masterplan contingent on other main characters doing exactly what Loki needed.

My favorite thing about it is that there wasn't a masterplan contingent on other main characters doing exactly what Loki needed. HA HA HA! And yet Loki actually has the power to make that happen. Instead he manipulates people to where he needs them.
