Seen it already. Pretty good. And yes there is no need to see it in 3D, save your money and see it in 2D. The visuals look impressive enough. And stick around after the credits, there is a scene. {Spoiler}At about the half way point of the film Jeremy Renner has a cameo as the Avenger Hawkeye. Was not in costume I don't think.

Not filming in 3D is the wrong way to go. Post-production 3D is always, always horrible, and almost always makes the film an unwatchable mess. I get that 3D cameras are very, very expensive, but honestly, if you aren't going to shell out the cash to film it in 3D, then you shouldn't be allowed to release the film in 3D, imo.

I think, this being a Marvel Studios joint, we should just expect there to be a post-credits scene. Glad to see there is.

Also I see not that many showings of the 2D version near me That's what sucks. I was forced to see it in 3D because there was no 2D screenings at that cinema. What a con. But it did not ruin the film. It looked alright. But still not needed.

Excellent film, the 3D was fine and not distracting.
The guy playing Loki was phenomenal.

I work at a movie theatre and we have both the 2D and the 3D showing. We're also having a midnight show tonight too, and most likely, I'll be watching the 2D since I've never seen a 3D film other than Avatar and Toy Story 3.

Loki is seriously the best thing in this movie. Easily my favorite Marvel villain. Brilliantly done character. Odin & Heimdall are great too. Absolutely loved "Thor." It may be my favorite Marvel movie ever. Having Natalie Portman & Bootstrap Bill didn't hurt either. This is just an ace cast from top to bottom. Highly recommend seeing it.

Seeing it tonight. Sadly they only offer it in 3D. Sadly shown in a smaller room too to make space for F&F 5. Yep, shitty theater here.

Its a great film. Definately check it out. You won't miss anything if you don't see it in 3D by the way. Only the end credits look cool with the 3D.

Or you, as a consumer, could do a little research before spending the extra couple bucks to watch a movie that was shot in 2d, in 3d. But you know, yeah, DAMN those jerks for providing a little variety. Good or not, if you plop down the money on watching a 3d movie, you should have well ahead of time made sure it was worth it. Blame the consumer, not the studio.

Blame the consumer, not the studio. I can't blame the consumer because I know damn well the majority of consumers don't do their research, they can't be arsed to. I mean just looking at how many people come out of post-production 3D films bitching that the 3D sucked shows that. Also, there is a legit difference between filming in 3D and post-production 3D. Films filmed in 3D are more like the 3D on say the 3DS, it doesn't pop out at you instead it deepens the depth of the screen. Post-production 3D simply takes all the focus objects in the front of the screen, cuts them out, and makes them pop out whilst leaving the background the same. It honestly isn't even really 3D, when you get down to it. In other words, filming in 3D makes the film screen basically a window into another world, while post-production 3D is basically a shoebox diorama. Yeah, in case you haven't noticed, I hate the hell out of post-production 3D. It'll probably be the thing that causes the 3D craze to die once again.

Enjoyed the movie but felt very much that the Thor/Jane love story was tacked on simply because all films need a love story seemingly. It needed more time to develop, or simply to be hinted at this film and developed later - perhaps more of a trinagle with Sif? Either way, wasn't really feeling that part of the story.
Loki's plot line was interesting, not sure, again, that it was really as developed as it could have been, and as such certain parts didnt have the emotional impact I think it was meant to.
Did enjoy the post credits scene and am definitely pumped for Captain America and then Avengers next year.

Fantastic film, I didnt hated the post conversion 3D other than some dark scenes look way too dark on 3D I dont get why they dont do a better color correction for the 3D copy. I have this huge doubt about a posible cameo, maybe someone here can sette the doubt for me. {Spoiler}During the hawkeye's cameo there is another guy, a huge black guy whose face you cant see due shadows who gives Thor a run for his money on a fist fight, is he supposed to be a Marvel character? I tough maybe Luke Cage so he can be part of the avengers in the movie, but I really have no idea.

I dont think he is a Marvel character for sure, but I reckon if they wanted him to be, they could retroactively make him Luke Cage, or even........I forget, but the black member of the Wrecking Crew in a sequel.
A quick IMDB search says the character was called Agent Delancy, played by stuntman Buddy Sosthand.
For what it's worth, I really like the idea of a retcon into Luke Cage.....
