This Lawler-Cole angle has been the best built angle since HBK-Taker last WrestleMania. Two announcers are having a match at WrestleMania, and it is the best angle leading into the show. It's surreal.
The angle has an old school feel to it though. Really well built with a slow burn of several months. I wonder how much control/input Jerry has with the angle? It wouldn't suprise me if he had a lot; he has always been regarded as a pretty good booker with a great mind for what sells tickets.

I'm shocked he got absolutely no pop.
And Lawler was really freaking harsh on his own boy. Jeez.

One thing I noticed is, Bryan's voice sounds almost exactly like Jerry's.
And yeah, I'm surprised he didn't get much of a reaction. But aside from the crowd, that was a great segment and Cole/Lawler is pretty much my favorite feud in WWE right now.

Is it kinda depressing to see that Jerry actually appears to have aged better than his son?

I was real disappointed that they dragged out brian lawler and not the Kat. Brian and Jerry are likely on decent terms in real life. I doubt the same could be said for Stacy and Jerry. And Stacy had tons of heat backstage during her run in WWE. All of which makes it pretty unlikely she'll end up being brought into this storyline (though you can't ever say "never" in pro wrestling).

Cole says he's going to rip on pro wrestling's poster boy for Megan's Law and the best he can come up with is that he's a bad father? Weak. When Brian Christopher said "you never wanted children", I laughed. I'm shocked he got absolutely no pop. And Lawler was really freaking harsh on his own boy. Jeez. Well he is a bit of a f***up. But yeah, maybe the King should stop and think that maybe what Christopher is complaining about contributed to the way he turned out?

Not going to lie, seeing Grand Master "Sexay" out there tonight was a very, very sad thing to see just how old and out of shape he has gotten. He could still dance, but nobody cared and seeing him do it was just extremely awkward. The fact he was so clearly winded after it was just very, very unsettling.
In fact I am wondering the point of that whole segment, to me it seems like it made the face (Lawler) look like a terrible father to me.
Not to mention, but appearance-wise, he reminded me of Guy Fieri of Food Network fame. That can't be a compliment.

Not entirely. Married Kizarny. Still does the autograph circuit. Also, about Jerry looking better than Brian...well, the King has had some work done.

Yeah - I honestly thought when he came out with the line about "how did it make you feel when I wrestled at 'mania before you?" that Jerry would reply "Proud, son. Damn proud.", leading to a reconciliation, consolidating King's status as the face, and putting one over on Cole. They could still have had Swagger spoil the moment, but it really felt like a missed opportunity.

I honestly thought he didn't look that bad at all. He seems to be in pretty decent shape, sure he was breathing heavy but he did dance for like 2 minutes and he was probably really excited to be there.
In the face he doesn't look that old either, remember it's been like 8 years since we all really remember him, he's going to age a bit at least and the bleach blonde hair isn't doing him any favours. If he came out with dark brown hair with the blonde tips like he used to, he would have looked younger.
He was always my favourite from Too Cool when I was younger, probably because I could do his dance moves. I could never do the worm and didn't have the ass for Rikishi's moves :\

Just so everyone knows, both Brian and King have been tagging up in MECW. So they are obviously on good terms.

Storyline wise, Raw was on fire tonight. That whole segment was amazing.

I just thought Dusty Rhodes looked GOOD tonight. My friend mentioned that he thought he looked a hell of a lot like Dusty. Great minds think alike.

Wow - three pages and I'm the first person to have noticed the odd resemblance between Grandmaster Sexay and Food Network's Guy Fieri? I thought we might be getting Michael Cole's Drive-Ins, Diners and Dives... Turn it up, indeed. And on top of that, my roommate compared him to this guy! Man, you guys are always on top of everything!

I'm shocked he got absolutely no pop. And Lawler was really freaking harsh on his own boy. Jeez. well, for one thing he came out dressed normally, with blonde hair. Even for the people who did recognize him there was little way to tell it was him and not one of those stupid imposter bits.
