In late 2004 or early 2005 I found these forums and started posting here. Back then TNA was just starting ppv every two months. This board was thick with TNA supporters dying to see them on a national TV channel. they got a deal and the hate began. I mean no offense to ROH, it's staff, it's workers or it's product. I like ROH and wish them well but, I believe the internet wrestling fans will lash out at the TV vehicle they put out because it will likely be different than what they have seen from ROH. It may stay the same and if it does I also believe they won't do huge numbers until they change the product to grab the casual fans that WWE and TNA have culled by following the established wrestling TV formula. I HOPE I am WRONG but history has backed me on this with promtions and individual wrestlers
I am not trying to incite any flame wars or anger anyone. This is just what I believe will happen. I will watch the show they put out with interest and hope. It will be good to have a real #3 again.

Cool, I'll get to see it in San Antonio now! I'm not that big into ROH, I have a few DVD's and follow occasionally but I'll check it out now.

Wow, they are in Alabama, Florida, South Carolina, and Tennessee, but not Georgia. What a tease. I've actually never watched ROH. I'm fairly confident I would like it. I'm just not one to watch shows online or order DVD's. I dunno why, I just don't.
But I'm happy for them, and this can only be good for the wrestling business in general.

Syndication is a good thing... I don't get the pessimism. Well in my case I'm kinda worried about non-wrestling personnel running a wrestling show.

Sucks I won't be able to get the show, but atleast I can still watch it on the internet. Hopefully they expand and syndicate it for non Sinclair owned channels. If this is all true and the same personel will be running the shows I am very happy for ROH and this pretty much makes them a true #3 and possibly a running for #2 later down the road. Also I hope this means they can bring back Kevin Steen, Austin Aries and other performers they have lost in the last year and possibly bring in some former WWE/TNA stars.

Considering the non-Sinclair Chicago market has MyTV, CW, and a handful of local heavily-syndicated stations (WCIU/MeTV/etc.), it is likely that a place could be found in between Three Stooges, Bonanza and the Steve Wilkos Show.

The fact that they at least have the *potential* to reach more viewers than they did on their HDNet deal, this makes me very happy for ROH. Now don't screw it up....

Looks like Showtime Allstar Wrestling will be getting cancelled in Nashville. Man, that would suck.

Am I really the only one here who watches tv shows via the internet through my HD TV? I haven't had cable or satellite for months. I don't see any point in having cable or satellite anymore.
It amazes me that people don't get that tv networks won't matter much in the next few years. It will all be just websites with people watching shows via the internet on their HD tv in the best quality.
I'm a huge lucha fan because I watch AAA, CMLL, IWRG, and Perros Del Mal in decent quality on my tv via my Android HTC evo phone.
I think this is great for ROH. I think the great news is that they got bought out by a huge company that can dump a lot of money into it. It could end bad like the hdnet real or the wcw turner deal but ill stay optimistic until I see the product.

Do you think they might help get them sponsors at least? Also it says in the article they are doing new lights and stuff. How would they have money for that? Do you think they will at least be able to do the show in HD? It'll look very crappy if they have to use the cameras they have been using in their iPPVs. It was pretty sad that the hdnet show was shot in better quality then their ppvs.

Great news for ROH and its fans. My only question is if it will have any change on the in-ring action. I know the articles say it won't, but don't you think they would tone down the hard-hitting style, even if it's just a little, if they want to reach more viewers (non-hardcore fans) and additional stations?
