Sinclair owns the local Fox affiliate where I live (they might own others, who knows). My question would be where exactly would they put the ROH show on? They're not gonna cancel any of the the Sunday-Friday primetime Fox shows for this. If they want primetime, they're only option is Saturday night, where it could replace the just canceled Americas Most Wanted. Or their newest thing to compete against Saturday Night Live. Most people aren't home on Saturday night. Otherwise, they're only options are late night, or some random afternoon timeslot either on weekdays or weekends (if it doesn't get interrupted by whatever sport has on game on. Remember when that used to happen to TNA when it was on Fox Sports Net? Annoying, wasn't it?) Also, what happens to ROH if this deal fails? THe same thing that happened to WCW? The plan for most of the markets is either 9pm or 10pm on Saturday nights. It's a start, don't get me wrong, but that sounds like a hard time to get people watching. Still it's another alternative to WWE and that's not a bad thing.

Funny that this happens when my interest in ROH is remarkably low. I'm game to watch it on TV, even if the current roster doesn't interest me all that much. (There's a reason Shimmer is getting my money instead right now...)

From what someone said even if it was shown late on a saturday night,I would still be down to watch it,I think where I live they will more than likely show it on mytv, since they wouldn't be really disrupting anything due to mytv being nothing but reruns.

Sweet, they own the MyTV and CW network here in Vegas, so it is likely that I can watch ROH on TV.

Here's the thing. If ROH starts to produce legit guys, they'll have to pay them to stay. HHH & Taker are smart enough to know where to take talent from. If ROH wants to grow they have to realize the brand only goes so far, but it's the characters people fall in love with on TV. Not just wrestling, but TV. The Office is dead in the water... people want to see Michael Scott. Spin City is one of very few shows that successfully transitioned main characters, but that was with someone on par with the same one.
ROH has lost so many talents to bigger contracts who are probably unhappy where they are currently. It's not unlikely that we'll see Joe, Lethal, Punk, and more back in ROH in the next two years. If ECW taught us anything, it's that guys that consider them creative & artists will sacrifice money to produce their craft the way they want.
I can't watch TNA or WWE anymore, but I'd love to see WWE with a fire lit under them again where they have to push more than just Cena and Orton. If only to prevent jumping to another promotion to make them happy.

Viewership is the only way to grow and this is awesome. My long term wish through this all is that yes, we will see legit stars say they've had enough off WWE's way of business and come here. It would only be the guys who do see themselves as artists at first, but if that can give ROH enough of a business to then start attracting the hungry guys still lookin to breakout, well, that could really make for something good. The other hand of all this is, if Trips really has this "great mind for the business" and rights WWE's ship ( I know, lol ), what's there to say about WWE being so bad Punk, DBD, and others actually feel the need to leave? I think at the very least, towards all this, its exciting because its possible, dare likely, ROH can knock TNA to no.3 and that really should be the goal.

We could easily see an exodus of TNA guys to ROH too. If I started a promotion tomorrow, I would try to get guys I enjoy in TNA that are not given their dues because TNA only love the former starts from WWE and WCW. Imagine a Bobby Roode as champ. Now this could happen with another promotion doing well. They couldn't pay a Sting but a Roode could be affordable and it would be great for ROH and really put them over.

Here's the thing.....I'm really excited about this. I haven't had the convergence of time and funding to get any ROH since my local video store got "Stars of Honor" available to rent. I didn't get HDNet so i was out on that front and as noted before didn't really "Follow" it because it's availability to it was sparse.
Hell.....I JUST realized there are 4 "Best of" DVDs thru netflix.
Yeah.....I'm happy for ROH, and plan on watching or DVRing the whole shebang.

Does anyone know if I'll be able to watch it here in NYC? I'm not really a big ROH fan but that's cuz there's like no way for me to watch it. I didn't get HDNet and my computer is so slow that its hard as hell to watch wrestlings programs on it that are long.
