He lacks intensity in the ring, he has a stupid out-dated gimmick with a horrible name, and at the end of the day he's just extremely boring.

He lacks intensity in the ring, he has a stupid out-dated gimmick with a horrible name, and at the end of the day he's just extremely boring. Exactly. No matter who they have him beat, or how many times he beats them, the audience just doesn't care about him. After the amount of time he's been back and who he has beaten, the fact that the small amount of enthusiasm that he initially had has been reduced to essentially none at all, should tell the higher ups that Lord Tensai has gone over like a lead balloon.

They should've given him a feud. The thing with Yoshi being offended by the Lord Tensai gimmick seemed to be going somewhere until all of Yoshi's tweets were deleted. Tensai needs to talk, he can't just be silent.
Hell, I think they should've probably continued from the Riley squash into an extended program with A-Ry and Tensai:
Lord Tensai has another match against his next victim, let's say Zack Ryder. Alex Riley comes out and challenges Tensai to a rematch. Riley says, "I've been overlooked for far too long and been treated as an after thought. You made a name for yourself at my expense and now I demand the opportunity to redeem myself!"
Tensai simply laughs at Riley, "What makes you think you can come out here and challenge me, little man? I dominated you the last time we faced off. If John Cena, the top dog couldn't beat me, what makes you think you can?"
Riley responds with, "You're right. If John Cena couldn't beat you, I have no chance. The difference between me and John Cena is that he has nothing to prove, I do!" Tensai laughs and says that Riley is unworthy of getting destroyed by him again, and refuses his challenge.
Riley is persistent in his efforts to get a rematch with Lord Tensai, interfering in his matches although Tensai kills him every week. Riley gets injured (although not to Kane/Ryder levels of ridiculousness), and now keeps coming out, attacking Tensai in hit and run attacks with his crutches. Eventually he goes to John Laurinaitis hoping to get a shot. Johnny grants Riley's request, saying the he will get a rematch with Tensai IF he can beat an opponent of his choosing.
Riley's opponent is Kane. Kane plays some mind games with Riley for a short promo. Kane says, "Before I crush your dreams of rising back to prominence, I'd like to show you a little something." He shows a clip of Riley's break up with the Miz. "What happened to that Alex Riley? That Alex Riley has a slightly, and I emphasize the term slightly better chance at slaying monsters like myself and Lord Tensai, but the shell of a man I see before me right now, has absolutely none. While Lord Tensai has no desire to decimate you, I am going to relish the thought of taking your hopes of redemption away." Riley is now motivated and comes at Kane full force, but the masked monster beats Riley around. The commentators are pleading with Riley to just throw in the towel but he refuses.
Kane grabs Riley for a chokeslam, and Zack Ryder runs in, attacking Kane in a futile attempt to get revenge, unintentionally getting Riley disqualified. Riley is now upset with Zack, yelling at him, "I hope it was worth it! That was my only chance." Ryder, knowing what it's like to be overlooked, now feels bad and wants to make it up to Riley. Ryder pleads with Johnny to give Riley what he wants, a rematch with Lord Tensai. Johnny however, tries to stir the pot and says. "I will give Alex Riley another chance. He will face Lord Tensai at Money in the Bank, if he can beat....you. If you win, you will finally get a chance to get back at Kane for all the hell he has put you through for the past few months."
Zack is now torn between the chance at a one on one match with Kane, or helping Riley get another crack at Lord Tensai. The bell rings, and Riley and Ryder tie up, and then Ryder stops. Ryder sacrifices his chance at getting revenge on Kane and lays down for Riley. Riley pins him, earning a rematch against Lord Tensai.
Riley is so happy that he finally has a PPV match after so long. Tensai immediately starts attacking Riley week after week, obliterating him each week in backstage attacks, trying to make him "give up the ridiculous idea that Riley can beat him" but Riley refuses to back down.
Alex Riley & Lord Tensai finally have a match at Money in The Bank. Riley puts up just enough offense to make you believe he has a chance, but Tensai dominates. Eventually, Riley gets the 360 lb man on his shoulders, and the crowd goes nuts at his "superhuman" strength as he hits his TKO finisher. A now pissed off Tensai however, no sells Riley's finisher Ultimate Warrior style, and beats the hell out of him. He chokes A-Ry in the corner agains the ropes and refuses to break it for the 5 count, getting DQ'd. After the beat down, Riley pulls himself to his feet, and walks out of the ring on his own power. Rather than having one man steam roll the other, both men come out of the feud looking good.

Monster characters are much harder to over these days because many fall into the same generic type and all the new talents get the same style push they do so they don't really stand out. Other than the mist, there's not much about Tensai that's interesting. He's an American guy who adapted a Japanese look and offense, but there's no emotional audience investment in his character either in wanting him to lose or being afraid of him. These big hoss types must either be scary, hatable, or badass, and Tensai for all the bells and whistles is none of these. Even a promo by his manager or somebody explaining how he discovered that true talent and skill exists only in Japan, and that whether the WWE Universe likes it or not, he'll show them that superiority; would still be better than what we're getting. I agree. Let him talk a bit. He is good at his new adjusted style in the ring. It's cool to me that he's getting a main event push since he busted his ass off (in real life) & never gave up which I support. However can't relate to a character when you don't know his MO. He needs to speak -- quiet monster wrestlers only worked two times - Umaga & Yoko. And I suppose Undertaker in the beginning.
