My first WWF event:
WWF @ Bowling Green, KY - EA Diddle Arena - March 6, 1993 (3,500) Terry Taylor defeated Reno Riggins Damien Demento defeated Jim Powers Doink the Clown defeated El Matador Giant Gonzalez defeated Virgil Crush defeated Skinner Jerry Saggs defeated WWF Tag Team Champion IRS Mr. Perfect defeated Papa Shango WWF World Champion Bret Hart pinned Bam Bam Bigelow
I'm surprised I didn't hate wrestling after that. Also Scott Hall and Brian Knobbs no showed.

I mean, I'm pretty sure I'm going to attend any wrestling show featuring The Renegade vs. Terry Taylor. That is, if it's occurring in 2012. I might have a different attitude if it was 1997, though. Well, considering that Renegade is 10+ years deceased, methinks you might be a bit disappointed.

I would crawl on my bare hands and knees to any arena in the world to see Doink vs Kamala There's a 1993 match between the two on the RAW: The Beginnings DVD. If life was perfect it would have been main event at Wrestlemania IX.

Reading some of the C and D cards from the 80's, I have to make sure to thank my Dad for making sure we went to an A show at the Spectrum. The show where Frenchy Martin managed, not wrestled.

This isn't the worst card ever, but at the time, it could be perceived as such.
WWF @ Portland, ME - Civic Center - November 11, 2001 (6,818) Spike Dudley defeated Sho Funaki Brock Lesnar defeated Crash Holly Tommy Dreamer & Steven Richards defeated Rico Constantino & Randy Orton Ron Waterman defeated Shawn Stasiak WCW Tag Team Champions the Dudley Boyz defeated the Acolytes Scotty 2 Hotty & Albert defeated the Hurricane & Hugh Morrus; after the match, the Actolyes made the save when the Dudley Boyz interfered; moments thereafter, Scotty, Albert, the Acolytes, and Scotty's wife danced in the ring WWF European Champion Christian defeated Edge WWF Hardcore Champion Rob Van Dam defeated Raven
Seriously, Raven in the main event of a WWF house show? Dreamer and Richard vs a jobber 21 year-old Orton? RON H20 WATERMAN!!

Just picked up the UK Rampage events from 1992 & 1993 for cheap and looked at the dvd listing for the '93 event. Has WWF served up a worse looking card than this?- Fatu with Afa vs. Brian Knobbs Doink the Clown vs. Kamala Samu with Afa vs. Mr. Perfect Damien Demento vs. Bob Backlund Brooklyn Brawler vs. Typhoon Intercontinental Championship Match Shawn Michaels vs. Crush Lex Luger vs. ‘Hacksaw’ Jim Duggan Wow. HBK vs. Crush actually sounds okay, and Samu vs. Perfect sounds like it might actually be okay, but wrestling wise, that looks like a TERRIBLE card.

The reason why I always say don't go to early afternoon house shows!
WWE Unleashed, Raw brand, Burlington VT, 11/9/03. Bell time, 2 PM.
Val Venis/Hurricane defeated La Resistance (Dupree/Conway) Jindrak and Cade defeated Tomko and Fertig (who, sadly, would only make TV as a jobber team before breaking up) Stevie Richards w/Victoria defeated Rico w/Miss Jackie Steel Cage, Shane McMahon defeated Kane via escape (AWFUL! Plus it took them friggin' forever to get the cage up and down, and it looked like it would fall apart at any time) Batista defeated Tommy Dreamer Lita/Trish Stratus defeated Gail Kim/Molly Holly Randy Orton w/Ric Flair defeated Maven Booker T/RVD/Dudleyz defeated Chris Jericho/Christian/Mark Henry/Scott Steiner (Elimination match, Booker sole survivor for his team)
On paper, it looked like a decent show, but in execution it turned out quite meh. Crowd was dead for most of it. I was one of the few people actually on my feet. Lot of kids. Chants failed. Nobody knew what CLB meant. *facepalm* And reading the writeup I did, I really sounded like one of those douchy smarks. Good lord.

Also Scott Hall and Brian Knobbs no showed. I would've loved that show if I would've seen it as a kid. Heel Doink, while Matt Bourne was still under the paint was great in the ring, and Tito was no slouch either. And Bret and Bam Bam always had good in-ring chemistry.

I think people should differentiate between bad event cards and events were the matches were bad. Some of the criticisms aimed at the event card is because just the matches were bad. Most of the cards listed though, are still cringe worthy 20 -25 years later.

you want BAD? then you have to go into the D-show era of WWF live events. yes, for a very brief period they were running FOUR shows. here's one: WWF @ Sharpsville, IN - Tricentral High School Gym - August 28, 1988 Scott Casey vs. Terry Gibbs WWF Women's Champion Sensational Sherri vs. Rockin Robin B. Brian Blair & Jim Brunzell vs. Paul Roma & Jim Powers The Junkyard Dog vs. the One Man Gang Brutus Beefcake vs. Hercules Also included a midget tag team match Sounds similar to the house show I saw: Friday, 1988/07/22 Venue Las Cruces, New Mexico DJ Peterson defeated Barry Horowitz WWF Women's Title Match Sensational Sherri (c) defeated Rockin' Robin Paul Roma and Omar Atlas defeated Barry Horowitz and Siva Afi Frenchy Martin defeated Koko B. Ware Tito Santana defeated Ron Bass There was a midget tag match as well that ended up stealing the show. These are the results from wrestlingdata but I recall the first match was Scott Casey vs Barry Horowitz. I also think Horowitz won which resulted in me always being irritated whenever the WWF would claim he never won a match. Omar Atlas was in for Jim Powers. I completely forgot about the match with Frenchy Martin...it sounds so strange because I can't recall him ever competing on television around that time. This was one of those fund raising shows that the WWF would promote during the late 1980s.

My very first live event ever. It was pretty bad but still fun.
WWF @ El Paso, TX - Civic Center - February 5, 1987 Barry O defeated Mark Young Lanny Poffo defeated Steve Gatorwolf Dan Spivey & Mike Rotundo fought Demolition to a draw Ron Bass defeated Moondog Spot Blackjack Mulligan won a bunkhouse battle royal Roddy Piper pinned Adrian Adonis Tama defeated Iron Mike Sharpe Nikolai Volkoff defeated Nick Kiniski Hillbilly Jim defeated Jimmy Jack Funk
The highlight was the battle royal. Mr. Fuji was a participant and wore a tuxedo. Before getting eliminated, he got stripped down to his boxers. While walking back to the dressing room, some fans were being ruthless toward him, and he proceeded to pull down his boxers and moon the crowd.

WWF @ Daytona Beach, FL - Ocean Center - November 23, 2001
1. Crash defeated The Hurricane (w/ Mighty Molly) 2. Adam Windsor (w/Dory Funk Jr.) defeated ? ? ? 3. Raven defeated Rico Costantino 4. Ron "H2O" Waterman defeated The Brooklyn Brawler 5. Randy Orton defeated Shawn Stasiak 6. Billy Gunn/Chuck Palumbo defeated Steven Richards/Tommy Dreamer
*Intermission*
7. The Big Show defeated DDP/Hugh Morrus in a handicap match 8. The Dudley Boyz (c) defeated The Hardy Boyz in a WWF World Tag Team Title match 9. Edge (c) defeated Christian in a WWF Intercontinental Title match
This was a B-show, as the big stars were in Philadelphia that night. I also remember Chris Jericho interfering in the main event and getting f-ggot chants after he kissed Christian to console him.

Some real crappers in here, most of my experiences with live shows were pretty good, my favorite was actually in the expo center instead of the colisuem(which I though would stink since it's smaller), headlined by Angle/Rhyno and co-headlined by Jericho/RVD, both great matches and featured other good invasion based match ups. My brother said the first WWF show ever in Fort Wayne was a bit of a crapper and was upset for picking over the first and only JCP show at the Coliseum. Despite JCP's better attendence(5,000 vs about 3,000, 9,700 was a sell out and most WWF/WCW house shows did around 4-5,000 in the late 90s) they never came back, WCW didn't come back until 1998 for Nitro, which was the first real sellout for wrestling here since the 1987 WWF show headlined by Savage and Hogan.
Here's the WWF show from '85 WWF @ Ft. Wayne, IN - Memorial Coliseum - October 17, 1985 1st show in Ft. Wayne: Rick McGraw defeated Steve Lombardi Randy Savage defeated Scott McGhee The Missing Link defeated Pedro Morales Ricky Steamboat & Cpl. Kirschner defeated Don Muraco & Mr. Fuji The Junkyard Dog defeated Terry Funk via disqualification
9/20/85 Fort Wayne, IN Dusty Rhodes beat Ivan Koloff Magnum TA drew Tully Blanchard Sgt. Slaughter beat Boris Zhukov dq Larry Zbyszko beat Buck Zumhofe Superstar Billy Graham beat Pez Whatley Bill Irwin & Scott Irwin beat Calypso Jim & Bobo Brazil Brad Rheingans drew Steve Regal Att 5000
The NWA show looks better, Calypso Jim/Bobo Brazil, and Steve Regal were popular wrestlers here due to the WWA(Bruiser's promotion that ran across Indiana and was televised and ran shows locally in Fort Wayne). Many of the older people here remember Bruiser very well(many who don't watch wrestling today and didn't after he retired), he was a legend here. Also Magnum TA vs Tully Blanchard would be amazing to see live and apparently there was blood, odd for a house show.
The WWF show is certainly not the worst, 1985 through 1988 is full of some real stinkers. I guess when Brutus Beefcake and Hercules faced off and Gorilla said it could be "a main event anywhere in the country", he wasn't joking. The JCP cards were much better from the time period and the one in Fort Wayne was a b-card featuring many local stars, most had Flair in the main event against either Magnum or top territorial stars.
I did find this while searching for local shows
WWF @ Ft. Wayne, IN - Allen County War Memorial - May 5, 1987 Included Danny Davis
I can't find the rest of the card, but I could only imagine.
