I really feel that this deserves it's own thread, of all the people to hype like that for a debut, why Chavo? That stuff was hilarious.

It was hilarious, and really made the thread during Impact fun.

Seriously, Chavo's a good wrestler, but the way they were hyping him was hilarious. You'd think they got Cena, Punk, D-Bry, Mysterio or Orton, not some guy who's a mid-carder.

Not only was the hype funny, but the uncomfortably boring promo he cut last night had me laughing pretty hard. It was like, all the hype for THAT?

I hear Chavo parted the red sea.
He's that good.

He is gonna feud with Gunner and Kid Kash. Those matches will be main events anywhere in the world.

All that hype, and he got outclassed in his promo debut by Kid Kash, of all people. Good lord. There was a reason WWE didn't let Chavo talk. It's because he can't.

All that hype for Chavo Guerrero.
Chavo.
Guerrero.
Seriously, TNA, I get you are thrilled by him joining your company but it's Chavo Guerrero.

Chavo's year long feud with Hornswoggle tainted his character forever imo. It reminds me of a scene from the hardcore prison drama OZ, in which a former gang leader & prision rape victim tries to reclaim his lost status. During the scene another prominent gang leader pulls the former tough guy aside and informs him that no matter what he does going forward he will never erase the stigma that hangs over him. No matter what everytime I see Chavo I'll think of Hornswoggle pinning him after a tadpole splash while Chavo was wearing a cow costume, and then post match was hogtied by 'Swoggle.

All that hype for Chavo Guerrero. Chavo. Guerrero. Seriously, TNA, I get you are thrilled by him joining your company but it's Chavo Guerrero. Pretty much. I hope that Chavo is truly thankful of who his grandfather and uncle are, and what his last name is, because dude would have been off the radar years ago otherwise.

I liked Angle's hype the best. Saying he had great with Eddie, THEN he mentioned Chavo.

I kept getting flashbacks to 2009, when all WWE could find for Chavo to do was to get pinned by Hornswoggle each week. Shows just how much of a big deal he really is.
I like Chavo, but that just hilarious.

I like Chavo and I think he is a good worker who can still go. TNA over hyped him but at least they made him seem important.

Yeah, I'm not sure what people are expecting TNA to do, go 'here's Chavo, he jobbed to a midget but we signed him anyway'? If you don't try to make a guy seem like he's something, why bother signing him in the first place?

I understand why they hyped him. After all, the WWe destroyed his credibility, and that's obvious by reading the posts in this thread. They need to rebuild him and bring him back to what he is - a credible wrestler who can be an asset to the company, not that joke that the WWE presented him to be.

Chavo's not that bad. He's decent in the ring and can put the younger x-division guys over and probably team with Hernandez for a decent version of Mexican America. Yeah, he got outclassed by Kash in his promo but if they limit the silliness, he can be a good asset I think.

In all seriousness when did Chavo ever have credibility? He was a midcard (mostly) jobber in WCW and outside of teaming with Eddie, becoming Kerwin White and getting beat by Hornswoggle I can't remember a single thing that he did in the E.

Chavo is at his best as a comedy guy, pure and easy. His most memorable stuff is easily with Pepe, Crazy Chavo w/Eddie, Los Guerreros, Kerwin White, and Feud with Hornswoggle. Bringing him in as ultra-serious wrestler Guerrero is the exact opposite of what he is good at.
