Just a quick question...if this had been say X-pac, would the reaction be the same? I only ask that because of his performance in Chikara and how people did a 180 on him.

If the last two season weren't an indicator, this is a damned billboard that Quack has lost it. I REALLY hate to admit it, but I'm starting to see this. I mean.....Marty Jannetty. You've got a great assistant trainer RIGHT THERE in Ultramantis Black, Hallowicked, or hell, even Eddie Kingston and you choose a 12 time loser like Jannetty? Mantis, Wicked, and Kingston wouldn't be what I'd call, great trainers.

He's done semminars for Chikara before according to Eddie K. So if he cleans up he'd work well in this position.

All three guys have more experience now than, say, Chris Hero did when he was a trainer for the Wrestlefactory, or when Claudio took over for him, and besides, Quack is probably the guy that would be doing most of the heavy lifting there anyways. Maybe you can say they don't have experience as trainers, but neither did either of the two above, and, for the record, who's Jannetty trained? What's his track record with it?

King has got his unreliability issues too. Besides ultramantis black and hallowicked dont have nearly the wealth of expierience that marty jannetty has. He's worked everywhere and with exception of winning the world title, done everything. He could really help those guys learn stuff that ultramantis and hallowicked couldnt teach them because he's been where they havent been. That is if his head is on straight which is a concern but look quack is a control freak. We all know this. Quack is probably making marty take drug tests minutely. Of course thats not when hes watching joshi dvds. I think this could be fine. I might eat my words but marty jannetty helping these guys could be one of the best things to happen to them. I mean the young bucks learned from marty i think and they turned out fine.

A Match of the Year contender, an Intercontinental title win (listen to the pop!) and a World Tag Team title win (listen to the pop!) beg to differ. But I understand what you're saying, and I don't necessarily disagree..... You can say all those things, and that's fine, but if you ask someone about Marty Jannetty, what they'll remember, IF they remember him at all, is HBK tossing him through the Barbershop window. People will still remember him more then Ultramantis Black and Hallowicked.

He's at least functional.
I'd rather a promoter hire him than Hall.

I'm on the pro Jannetty side. The guy has been in the business for like, 30 years, he's always been a great performer, he seems like a pretty good guy, just has some personal problems which I haven't heard too much about recently.
I need to read the whole thread before commenting. Still, I'm not a fan of the Jannetty bashing. He would be a better trainer then others mentioned just due to his experience.

Exactley, he's done more on a bigger stage, and all kidding aside, he can give them advice on what to avoid. Yeah he's been fired a huge amount of times, but he's a good enough performer he's been brought back a huge amount too.

He's drank more beer, gotten more pussy, had more fun and wrestled more big time wrestling matches than anybody in that promotion. Jannetty deserves props.

What the f*** is so bad about bringing in Marty Janetty? You guys make it sound like he signed Jeff Hardy or something. I don't remember people wigging out like that when WWE brought Janetty in for a few shots a few years ago, as a matter of fact, I remember people marking out. See a lot of people groaning really hard (like myself) is directly BECAUSE of what happened when WWE brought Janetty in last. The man is about as reliable as Hardy AT HIS WORST, and I literally give it about two weeks before he no shows and/or gets busted for drugs and Quack deems him an un-person in CHIKARA history. Yeah, when the guy is on he's one of the better workers in history. But he's Scott Hall levels of unreliable. Wait, what happened last time he was in WWE? I always thought he was just brought back for these little one shot deals and wasn't intended to be kept around...Didn't HBK help him get his life straight or something? I'm kind of sad to see that I was wrong about that.
