See a lot of people groaning really hard (like myself) is directly BECAUSE of what happened when WWE brought Janetty in last. The man is about as reliable as Hardy AT HIS WORST, and I literally give it about two weeks before he no shows and/or gets busted for drugs and Quack deems him an un-person in CHIKARA history. Yeah, when the guy is on he's one of the better workers in history. But he's Scott Hall levels of unreliable. Wait, what happened last time he was in WWE? I always thought he was just brought back for these little one shot deals and wasn't intended to be kept around...Didn't HBK help him get his life straight or something? I'm kind of sad to see that I was wrong about that. The last time Jannetty had anything that resembled a contract with the WWE was in 2007 and he was released because of a court order in florida that prevented him going on the road. He's done two spots for them since, one at the end of 2007 losing to Kennedy and again in 2009 losing to the Miz. I don't think he's been in "trouble" since, and I don't think he's unreliable as he's been making rounds on the independant scene for quite a while now.

Man, screw you guys. Janetty hasn't been in trouble for a while, and he's actually a really great wrestler, with years of experience. Isn't that what a trainer should be? Yeah. Y'all need to stop hatin' on Jannetty. I haven't heard anything bad about him in years.

Y'all need to stop hatin' on Jannetty. I haven't heard anything bad about him in years. LEAVE MARTY ALONE!!!! In all seriousness I have to say that if Jeff Hardy is allowed to get face palm level groans for TNA continuing to use him despite his proven (time and time and time and time and TIME AGIAN) unreliableness, then the same can be said for Marty. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice...you're not going to fool me again. Yeah, it's been a minute since Marty has had a problem...doesn't mean he's earned back any sort of trust. Let's take a look at some of Marty's greatest hits, shall we? 1992: Released from the WWE after being placed on house arrest for six months for assaulting a police officer October 1992: Returns to the WWE but is released AGAIN do to rumors surfacing that he was intoxicated and drugged during a match with Shawn Michaels July 2005: Is signed to a contract by WWE after his match with Kurt Angle, but is released after arrested for a domestic incident. March 3, 2006: WWE severs all ties with Jannetty during the middle of a program with HBK, doesn't comment on why September 2007: After being signed by the WWE to a deal to evaluate and work with new talent, is AGAIN released because he can't leave the state of Florida because of pending legal action. Has he cleaned himself up again? Sure. He's been working good the past few years. But Marty has shown TIME and TIME again that he is always one step away from having another relapse. Be that drug, or domestic, or alcohol. I feel sorry for the guy, I really do. But working with Marty is like working with a ticking time bomb. You never know when it's going to explode in your face.

A lot of people had doubts about Sean Waltman coming into for KOT, and look how that turned out. Granted, that was for a one shot deal, and this involves training the students, but really, if they have to learn from someone, there's worse choices than Jannetty. As long as he can keep it together, I think this could be very beneficial to the company.

I can't believe the amount of crap being thrown around in this thread. Guest instructor, full-time instructor... I'm sure if Jannetty screwed up, he'd be out the door, but y'know what? He might do better in a low-pressure, small-time environment. It's the case outside of wrestling, why not inside too. Traveling in the territories or with WWE is very different from sharpening up the skills of someone who will go on to have the gimmick of a flying Amway salesman, so maybe give him a chance?
