{Spoiler} So, Tiger Claw wants Kavaxis to revive Shredder. That went differently than I had hoped for.
Also, Leonardo hasn't discussed speaking to the spirit of Splinter to the others yet. I'm guessing it is for obvious reasons.

Tiger Claw's big reveal as the leader of the cult probably would've worked better if it hadn't been spoiled by every single bit of promotional material for this season that's been put out so far. And how can Tiger Claw not realize how bad of a plan this is? Kavaxis all but told him "ok, I'll go along with you for now, but the first opportunity that arises I'm gonna screw you over so bad".

That's the biggest flaw in this whole story. Kavaxis blatantly told Takeshi that he will destroy him at the first opportunity he gets. And, artifacts generally lose their controlling abilities with these beasts soon. Plus, why go out of the way to revive Shredder? Tiger Claw taking the Foot down a different path would be so much more interesting than him doing all this crap to create a mindless zombie that'll be slain anyway. I think the quality of this season will suck at this rate.

I think the {Spoiler} revive Shredder deal is a case of Never Say "Die" Also, Splinter's spirit.

So they killed off Bradford just to unceremoniously bring him to life this season? That seems anti-climatic. I hope there's more to this and it turns into something more interesting down the line.

New episode this morning. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}The Turtles and The Foot Clan are on separate missions to retrieve The Shredder's heart from Don Vizioso. There is one scene where Donatello, Leonardo, Beebop and Rocksteady and the Don and his goons get into a scrum over the heart that is very similar to the one over the last canister of ooze in the second live action Ninja Turtles movie.

Down goes the Hammer once and for all.
It was an okay episode but it mainly showed how much Kavaxas wants the freedom to destroy as he wishes.
He also might want the soul of Shredder for himself.

Is there any reason why Bebop and Rocksteady would still be working with Tiger Claw? They're not Foot Clan like Bradford and Xever. They have no real reason to be particularly loyal to Shredder, especially Bebop. Why exactly do they want to help bring him back from the dead?
And finally, the Local C train never goes outdoors.

Nick's version of TMNT just finished premiering (they're giving an encore right now), and I had no idea this was a thing until a couple of days ago. I enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would. The art and presentation are top notch, and the comic book effects is a great touch, humor is surprisingly good (I must have laughed at least 8 times), and each turtle is distinguishable and unique. The origins story falls a little flat, but it's not bad or dumb by any means. There's some small changes that could displease hardcore fans (like April being a teenager), but sometimes change is good. Overall, I was really impressed, and I plan on watching every other episode as it continues. i actually like this show. but i don't like the animation. it looks low budget/cheap. or like a kid drew it if you will. it's still good, though. my only real complaint (besides april and casey being kids) is don's crush on april. it's a little out there for a kids show. but when they focused on it in the beginning of the series i just got bored with it. not to mention is was like a stalker. lol

{Spoiler}{Spoiler}Undead Shredder doesn't look imposing. But has psychic powers.
And Tiger Claw is stupid.

So, today's episode was dumb as hell. And not in a good way.
Undead Shredder was an interesting idea but they closed the book on him entirely... which isn't always a bad thing. You can also say the same for Bradford, technically.
Also, the fact Hot Head assumed he had to obey Mikey because he gummed the talisman back together was a bit over the top.
Still, the Turtles got some closure with their sensei, which was a touching moment.
My one issue is where to go from here. The Foot Clan itself is finished (Xever quit, Shredder & Bradford are dead for good, and Tiger Claw went back to Japan), and you can forget about the Kraang or the Mafia, too. Considering the fact that Dracula is potentially a future villain (likely a Halloween one-off)... that I don't have hopes for.
Also, do not understand the appeal of the sociopathic Star Trek parody. At least the Bradford cartoons made fun of product placement.

It seemed weird to me for Tatsu's ghost to show up and then have absolutely no impact on the story. I assume he'll be back down the line.
And I hate seeing them kill Bradford again. I really wanted a final showdown between him and Mikey.

New hour long episode (titled "When Worlds Collide") of TMNT on right now (at least for those of us in the EST time zone). The Salamandrians (Newtralizer, Sal Commander and of course, Mona Lisa) and Lord Dregg are back.

Also, during the episode there was a promo for the much anticipated (by me, at least) episode featuring Usagi Yojimbo. Which will air July 23rd.
