Also, during the episode there was a promo for the much anticipated (by me, at least) episode featuring Usagi Yojimbo. Which will air July 23rd. Hopefully it's much better than the Hothead & Dregg episodes from this season.

New episode premieres July 23. Looking forward to this one as the turtles end up in an alternate dimension where they meet Usagi Yojimbo.

New episode airs in a couple minutes. Well, at least where I live.

Turns out that the Usagi Yojimbo episode is a two parter and part two airs tomorrow morning (July 30th).

Turns out that the Usagi Yojimbo episode is a two parter and part two airs tomorrow morning (July 30th). Three-parter actually. Part three is next Sunday. So I just watched part two and was pretty disappointed in it. It felt like some of the most blatant padding of a story arc I think I've ever seen.

So, I was at Walmart yesterday & found out the next Tales arc will be. {Spoiler}1987 Krang & Shredder team up with 2012 Bebop & Rocksteady. I know Turtles Forever isn't that popular, and I say that as a huge 2003 fan, but considering what 2012 Shredder became, I kind of find it difficult to imagine any other, with the exception of Ultom Shredder, being a legit threat here. But I'll watch it, anyways, because I need it in my life.

For as much flack as Turtles Forever gets, this special follows the same argument about the 1987 Turtles.
They suck at fighting.

::sigh:: Yeah, this was pretty bad.
At least Turtles Forever felt like it put some effort into mocking the 87 Turtles. This just felt like they went for the cheapest, easiest jokes they could get. If you're not gonna respect the 87 show, then don't do the crossover.
This also completely lacked the epic feel that Turtles Forever had, and felt padded as well. You might have had to cut out Karai and the Mutanimals parts but this felt like it could've easily have been done as a two-parter instead of three.
During Bebop and Rocksteady's raid on the EPF building it felt like there were a ton of easter eggs that I just wasn't catching. Anybody make anything out in there?
And Mondo Gecko is confirmed to be alive. He was the only Mutanimal that didn't show up at Splinter's funeral so I thought they might've actually killed him off in "Requiem". Since Pigeon Pete was at the funeral instead it might have just been a production error.
So where exactly did that final battle take place? Because I don't know of any eight lane highways in Manhattan.
And so ends the 2012 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series. I enjoyed it for the most part, but that last season was really hit or miss.
