Kinda mixed...I can't think of what this series HASN'T touched upon as far as the Turtles mythos. On the other hand, of course I'm sorry to see it go and like with Transformers, shudder if the Bayverse is the only other alternative. But at least it ended at the right duration of time unlike other shows on Nick and otherwise.

It's looking less likely the Platnium Dunes era of TMNT will continue after the second one bombed, we may be looking at a short drought at the very least. The 4Kids TMNT era ended in 2009 and there was a two year break between it and 2k12.
Of course, once again this leaves the original TMNT uncontested as the longest running of the five Turtle shows there's been (and yes, I'm including the Anime OVA). And the only time this show has been nominated for an Annie award was for it's recent crossover story with the 80s cartoon.

But at least it ended at the right duration of time unlike other shows on Nick and otherwise. It hasn't touched upon the Next Mutation. Aside from Venus, there were villains like Dragon Lord, Silver and Dr. Quease. I'd like to have seen how the Nickverse would've reimagined them. Though I wonder what happens after this series end? Will they make a new series or will Nick just sit on the IP and let it rot?

I imagine the reason they didn't touch Next Mutation is rights issues with Saban and/or FOX

Probably for the best. The 1988 series fell off a cliff after a few years.

Never surprised, Producer of the show Ciro Nieli always said that he had a 5 Season plan for the show, and they would go from there.
So I'm happy he'll get to see his 5 seasons all the way through. It's been a great run.

Fast Forward had some pretty strange elements (Sho'kunagoh & that Viral mutated into Cyber Shredder) but I kind of preferred that as the "fish out of water" element over this series's space stuff.

I don't completely hate Fast Forward. Just pointing out that the 2k3 series kinda did some weird stuff towards the end of its run too.

and watched the "meta" episode again whole lotta fun seeing the different turtles done in the dimensions different style, pity they didn't go all the way and went blackandwhite in "turtle prime". slight problem was it felt a little too standalone in terms of story arc but not enough to ruin it also MASSIVE missed opportunity by not having april o'neil in it, they were practically THERE dammit ..... and speaking of that i redownloaded the first episode of the series ..... for ..... "scientific reasons" ..... shut up the UK are the first ten episodes down, the rest will be the beginning of next year!

So the Super Shredder figure that was suppose to be Target exclusive showed up at our Wal-mart this weekend... Sometimes, weird stuff like that happens. My friend has found various exclusives at Ross locations at times, usually GI Joe, but that may have been overstock. Here, it could be Target had right of first refusal and opted not to pay to have it be exclusive or something like that, sort of like when Wal-Mart backed out of having Pacific Rim figures as exclusives. That's why the NECA first wave of Pacific Rim toys were lacking, they were trying to get them down to a Wal-Mart-friendly price point, and quality suffered. On the bright side, criticism from it did lead to NECA getting their general QA better, with less stupid shit like painting joints which made them far too tight, or brittle parts being as much of an issue.

"Tokka Vs. The World" was a very good episode, with the return of Bishop and the TCMI.
A new episode will be next Sunday at 9am.

Looks like they cast a little shade at the newer live action movies. {Spoiler}On an elevator ride at TCRI, Michaelangelo plays percussion with his nunchucks and Raphael punches him.
Turtles are confused for aliens (to be specific, Martians). By government agents.

Today's episode was a really big one. {Spoiler}Splinter dies for real by the Shredder's hands.

New episode just aired in the eastern standard time zone (and maybe the central time zone too. Do you guys get the show at eight or does it air at nine for you guys too?). Major plot development in this episode: {Spoiler}Shredder f***ing kills Splinter! I know this happened previously when the Triceratons destroyed the entire planet and Shredder used that distraction to off Splinter. And unlike last time I don't think Fugitoid is coming to turn back time. So it looks this is going to stick. Unless Karai's friend knows some kind of necromancy spell.
They telegraph this throughout the episode by having Splinter give some parting advice to Leonardo to basically prepare him to take over his role. Although we have seen this in previous incarnations of the franchise instances where Splinter tells the turtles that they will have to deal with his absence some day (especially in the first live action movie), but I think this might be the first time they have pulled the trigger (again, not counting the first time which was negated thanks to the miracle of time travel).
