If nothing else, the WWE is persistent. How long now has the WWE been trying to get Owen in the Hall of Fame?

My first thought upon reading the thread title: "Oh, that time of the year again already?"

At this point, just leave her alone and honor her wishes. At the end of the day, she lost her husband and the father of her children due in part to WWE's negligence.
Use him in DVDs. Mention him from time to time. But if she says she doesn't want him in the Hall of Fame, leave it alone.

much like my previous suggestion of creating guys that never existed to fill a void they could throw a quick thing at the end of another induction. they do a long tribute video to someone announcing they're induction and then the announcer guys "Oh, and Heart is also inducted"

And then we get another lawsuit.

Does Martha Hart even have any legal right to stop the WWE from putting Owen in the Hall of Fame?

Does Martha Hart even have any legal right to stop the WWE from putting Owen in the Hall of Fame? Even if she didn't, it would look awful if WWE inducted him without her blessing, especially considering the nature of his death.

Have Bret Hart induct the Blue Blazer.

Does Martha Hart even have any legal right to stop the WWE from putting Owen in the Hall of Fame? since they were married yes. She legally owns his estate. On a somewhat similar note, it's why many feel Sunny got screwed over after Chris Candido died. They were never married, so anybody that was paying Chris didn't owe her squat (Terry Taylor and TNA gave Candido's final paycheck to his parents and Sunny flipped)

Wasn't part of the lawsuit that just got thrown out that the WWE can use footage that they own of Owen how they see fit? They could still put together their video tributes, have Bret do the induction, and they're done.
Now the huge PR black eye this creates, well, that's a different story.

Honestly, and at the risk of getting flamed...is Owen even worth it? I was a pretty big fan but he wasn't exactly a gamechanger. I can't help but think WWE want him in the Hall to appease Bret more than themselves.

He was a great wrestler, and I've never heard anyone say a single bad word about his backstage attitude. He seemed to be one of those cases like Edge, of the moment they were gone, we immediately realised how important they were. Frankly, the wa Martha is control-freaking, he may as well be Chris Benoit.

If nothing else, the WWE is persistent. How long now has the WWE been trying to get Owen in the Hall of Fame? Not as long as Bruno, and they still call him up every once in awhile.

She said they sent her a ham instead. *Ham unavailable for comment. Yeah, Tammy saw to that. Remember her weight gain after Candido's death? To be fair, it's normal to respond to tragedy with food.
