Like I said in the Raw thread, Triple H is like that kid everyone grew up with. Whenever you'd play superheroes or wrestling or whathaveyou, he'd always insist that his guy was the strongest, smartest, fastest, most badass person who barely had any weaknesses and could counter anything you throw at him. "I have the power to have all the powers I want"

Wade interrupted Triple H's moment, acted liked an ass and got kicked in the nuts for it. Not seeing the outrage.

One man breaks people's arms. The other man kicks people in the nuts.
We are dealing with some real tough guys here.

On a related note, remember when Austin spent years attacking/Stunning pretty much everyone with little or no justification? Just sayin'

One man breaks people's arms. The other man kicks people in the nuts. We are dealing with some real tough guys here. There's a bit of a difference. Brock broke Triple H's arm after attacking him from behind. Then did the same to Shawn Michaels and then attacked a 60 year old man. H kicked Barrett in the nuts after Barrett came out and disrespected him while he was doing business.

Austin stunning the world usually sucked too.
No outrage, just a "bleh that wasn't needed."

It's not like he was interrupting anything. And he had a match as well. It's not like this was the first time someone came out for a match while the superstar from the previous segment was still walking up the ramp.

He did it to get you all to stop praising him for being the savior of the company with his recent office-related "successes". It actually has the opposite effect, it makes the HHHaters swoon over anyone he "buries". HHH understands that. There will always be a cult popularity for guys who are deemed to be "unfairly treated." Once a guy is perceived as having the company fully behind him, he loses that likability with that portion of the fans. It's not cool to like who the company wants you to like. That why so many CM Punk fans cling to the notion that the WWE has mistreated him or "held him back" or whatever.

He didn't use that exact quote but he refused to have interactions with guys outside the main event level unless it was a stunner or a chair shot. Austin would have never engaged in for example, long competitive matches with midcarders like HHH has. I don't think either of them were "wrong", I think this board just sometimes had a schizophrenia about big stars sometimes - they want more people to be at that level, but also resent it when big stars are protected in the manner they always have been.

Oh, i'm not trying to underscore Austin's politics shenanigans, but I constantly see this comparison of their on screen characters and frankly I don't think it works. Austin was an onscreen loner. It made sense for him to be an asshole because he literally had no friends. About the only person who would justify his antics was JR. Triple H wants to have those same characteristics in addition to being the most respected veteran in the back.

Austin gets a free pass because during his time, everyone on the card was relevant and credibly booked regardless of their position in the pecking order Austin stuns D'Lo Brown, Val Venis, and the Godfather, it's fine, because they'll redeem themselves by putting on solid matches next week. Let's say, John Cena comes out and AA's Zack Ryder, Yoshi Tatsu, and Michael McGillicutty at the same time, it's going to piss me off because they won't get a chance to redeem themselves, and we'd only see them as scrubs.

Could've been worse. I thought it was funny, even if I feel like Triple H shouldn't be doing this type of thing to guys like Wade at this stage in his career. Couldn't agree more.

Like I said, Triple H was already leaving, so what did Barrett interrupt? Maybe Barrett was being an ass about it, but I don't think it warranted a low blow. And you'd see that there's no outrage from me, if you looked at my earlier post. But I don't see how Triple H is justified in what he did.
