HHH is awesome. If Barrett loses any sort of momentum because he was kicked in the balls by a legend it has less to do with HHH and more to do with Wade. ooookay, can we all get together and agree not to use this argument ever again, ever? No one who has a problem with this thinks it's going to wreck Barrett's career. It's a non-sequitor. But, there's a big problem with the implication that because it WON'T hurt Barrett's career, it's hunky-dory. It's something they "threw out there" to protect the Miz, though the booking ended up making him look worse. But it was ALSO to give HHH a funny moment where he makes Barrett look like a schmuck, and it's really difficult to see who that helps. That is the problem. They "throw things out there" that A: Help no one but HHH, and B: Have nothing to do with HHH's current feud. Why not, instead of this, write Miz and Barrett a little scene to set up their match? Hell, do a Tale of the Tape or something to make the match seem important. Why use that time to HELP someone? (If your response is "No one cares about Miz vs. Barrett and so a scene would have been pointless," then you just demonstrated why they need to do stuff like that MORE.) The other problem? They want us to be cheering the asshole, again. The good guy is the tough jerk who asserts his dominance, and not, y'know, an actual good guy. The bad guy is a guy who's equally a jerk, but doesn't assert his dominance as quickly. That's just not a recipe for interesting stories.

I love the way Triple H bounces right after it, like he's about to bust into the choreography from N*SYNC's "Bye Bye Bye" music video. After watching it again, it does look like he's dancing.

If Wade Barrett's career is decided over a kick to the nuts, then he isn't meant to be a star. Honestly, it might be the most that the crowd has cared about Barrett at all recently. A kick to the nuts is quite serious. If done effectively, it might well be the end of Wades career, or at least for some time.

When was the last time kicking someone in the dick was celebrated? It was a punk move. How is a punk move something you do to help your reputation?

It might be better if Trips actually interacted with the main roster, other than beating them up or kicking them in the nads or saying he could have a better match with a broomstick than with any of them.

Taking the Triple implicHtions (haaaa) out of it, I just thought it was dumb to have a babyface cheap shot a heel.

Barrett is one of the most sympathetic guys in the company right now. You have Sheamus making fun of his movie appearance without provocation, HHH kicking him in the nads, Josh Mathews claiming his clean win in the triple threat match was "controversial" etc.
At the moment I just feel bad for the guy. I hope he gets a big win over Miz at 'Mania, that seems to be where they are going.

Not surprised, obviously. But it was basically pointless for him to kick the IC champ in the nuts for no apparent reason.
...oh right,he disrespected him.

Steve Austin used to beat up half the roster weekly and few ever bitched about it. He still does when he shows up.

Again, it's not like he gave him a vicious beatdown and made him look like a chump. If kicking someone in the balls is a tough guy move, then women's self defense classes must make UFC fighters look like a bunch of bitches.

Steve Austin used to beat up half the roster weekly and few ever bitched about it. He still does when he shows up. Because he was an active wrestler and not a semi-retired COO. I don't remember the last time I saw Austin give someone a Stunner, let alone beat up half the roster.

By that logic HHH should be kicked in the balls weekly for his past heel actions.

Triple H doesn't have 1/27th of Austin's fun-lovin' redneck charm to make up for him being a prick either. He's just this stoic badass with a terrible sense of humor.

At least HHH wrestles sometimes, not so much with Austin.

How is a punk move something you do to help your reputation? Gee, maybe because it was against the guy who spent over half a year terrorizing the WWE? Then why hasn't HHH just fired him, though? If I was running a company, I think I might fire a guy who laid out my father-in-law and terrorized my employees, not allow him to continue gainful employment for 3 years and make a WWE funded film. But hey, why do that when you can just kick that guy in the nuts? Wasn't Vince relieved of his duties for interfering with the talent? Face it, logic isn't just dead here, it's been postmortem raped in the ass.

If kicking someone in the balls is a tough guy move, then women's self defense classes must make UFC fighters look like a bunch of bitches. It was a joke. The set-up was, Wade thought he was cool and tough and they tease a big confrontation. The punchline is, HHH ends it instantly and walks away. It was that stupid DX winking humor. HHH is in a big fiery death-feud, so it was stupid and pointless to give him a funny moment. Besides, it doesn't matter how you do it; if you walk away from another dude who you put on the ground, you look like the tougher person. "Tough" isn't even really the right word... aggressive is maybe better.
