Ugh, just ignore the Husky Harris chants. The more people make a big deal out of it, the more it'll probably happen.
Anyway, the Wyatts are so damn creepy... I love it.

He didn't even look slightly fazed by them. Bray Wyatt KILLED it last night. Absolutely outrageously good debut.

This is entirely guesswork from watching the one segment, but given the rumors about Taker working SummerSlam I kind of got to wondering if they might be setting up the Wyatt Family against the Brothers of Destruction there. I don't particularly want to see that happen, but if nothing else it'd probably mean they have a ton of faith in Wyatt if they did it and in that sense it'd be a good thing. I'd be down with that. Though I'm not sure how I feel about having them interact with the only other dark characters so soon. I guess if they actually take out Kane and Taker, it would give them a ton of legitimacy as the "real monsters". Not to get carried away, but we may even have a legitimate yet unexpected threat to Taker's Wrestlemania streak next year. Even if they're not THAT big, the tag division looks like it has some serious potential now.

I liked it, now I want Taker and old-school deranged Mankind to come back and help Kane.

Just an FYI-- NXT is one of the most vocal crowds in the history of EVER, and yeah they initially gave Wyatt the 'Husky Harris' chant treatments too. But they quickly died down after the Wyatt Family made a few more appearances and progressively got more involved in main event (for NXT) storylines.
It's to the point where Husky is totally erased from your mind if you are an NXT fan. We need to remember that most American audiences aren't watching NXT and hence it will be more gradual of a transition for them. I think it'll be fine once Wyatt actually wrestles matches and starts doing his psychotic 'dancing with the dazed Superstar' signature taunt before Sister Abigail.

I watched some clips of it on WWE's Youtube Channel this morning. This was like Glacier levels of hype followed up by solid debut. Wyatt's really been tweaking this character and making it his own in NXT and to see the "finished product" on RAW was honestly a strangely powerful moment. Like seeing an actor work a character in rehearsals, then opening night hits and you can see where all that prep went. They cannot make the merch fast enough. Provided it doesn't suck

To think there were some of us worried how the gimmick would work on Raw, if anything they've improved it with the effective vignettes, sheep/lamb imagery , the lantern and bad-ass entrance. That's on top of everything else like Bray's attire, the rocking chair, the beards, the music and the gimmick in general. I think WWE have been better at making their gimmicks coherent in the past year or so, The Shield and Sandow in particular play their roles perfectly and little additions like the way Sandow holds the mic or The Shield's entrance using the phonetic alphabet really add to them (shame they can't find something that sticks for Cesaro). Last night also seemed to show that Harper is more of a trusted lieutenant while Rowan is perhaps the most dedicated/mindless follower whereas on NXT there hasn't much gimmick wise to separate them.

I just realized the symbolism of Bray blowing out a flame, then coming out and having his boys beat up Kane.
How the hell did THAT go over my head for so long?

I was referring to tonight. I was hoping for a counter chant. Something like: "HUSK-Y HARR-IS!" "YOUR CHANT SUCKS!" I prefer my "YOU DON'T SAY!" counter to the "THIS IS WRESTLING!" chant myself.

Am I the only one who got a Mankind vibe from all this? I know the characters are pretty different, but there are parallels (deranged, weirdo debuts against an established monster) I don't follow NXT so I haven't seen much of the Wyatt family, but I'm really excited to see where this goes. First time I've had 100% faith in the WWE in god knows how long.

I think it has similar vibes to the True Blood opening. I've thought that since the early NXT videos.

I just thought of something. Could this be a way for them to turn Kane back into a monster heel and join the Wyatt Family? I wouldn't be totally against that, but I also wouldn't be totally for it either. It would all depend on how they did it.
I really don't see where this potential feud is going. Sure they could bring back the Undertaker but they already did that feud with The Shield.

BTW, what is their gimmick exactly? Or to be more correct, what exactly does Bray Wyatt preach? Like Raven for example had his stable incarnations based around it's members being freaks, misfits and outcasts and Raven himself was this nihilist pain lover. Now I understand the Family is some sort of a redneck religious cult and Wyatt character is based on Max Cady, but what exactly does he preach?

If the chants continue, just have him say the punt to his head knock some sense into him and he now sees the world for what it is I don't know how that promo would go but it probably would be awesome

The vibe I get is that Bray believes that he is the devil in human form, as he said in the opening promo "I created war" and other things he's said on NXT. It would be great if everyone was shown to be afraid of him, like he gives them the creeps, even guys like Cena, Sheamus and Triple H would would normally crack hillbilly or inbred jokes.

Just a thought.
Most of Wyatt's promos involve some man taking videos of a road in a car.
The car the reporter was in is very similar.
JUST HOW LONG AGO WAS THAT REPORTER SENT?!

it would be cool if things lead to Shield vs Wyatt Family at either survivor series or wrestlemania. like the Wyatt's and Shield are kept apart until the Wyatt family keeps running over everybody until Vince or Triple H or even Steph turn to the shield to help beat the Wyatt's...the shield blow them off, until the night after Royal Rumble, the Wyatt's are beating down somebody like Jericho or RVD...and suddenly the shield theme hits and you have a stare down between the two factions.

You bring up an interesting point. Did anyone in NXT ever bury them on the mic with inbred hillbilly type stuff? If so did they play off it? You know without a shadow of a doubt that H would be all over that and not even let Bray counter.
