So are they replacing The Shield with the Wyatts for the Brother of Destruction match at SummerSlam!?

Am I the only one who got a Mankind vibe from all this? I know the characters are pretty different, but there are parallels (deranged, weirdo debuts against an established monster) You're not, this has been reminding me of the original '96 Mankind (and, to a lesser extent, the original Goldust) since his vignettes started airing. Not the actual character, but the idea of doing this extremely stylized, New Generation-esque gimmick that's supposed to be creepy and weird instead of goofy and cartoony.

So are they replacing The Shield with the Wyatts for the Brother of Destruction match at SummerSlam!? It seems like the Shield are being shuffled down the card. Reigns and Rollins are on the MITB pre-show against the jobberific Usos, after all. So I wouldn't be surprised.

I just saw a weird shadow out of the corner of my eye and for a split-second thought "oh crap Bray Wyatt?"

it would be cool if things lead to Shield vs Wyatt Family at either survivor series or wrestlemania. like the Wyatt's and Shield are kept apart until the Wyatt family keeps running over everybody until Vince or Triple H or even Steph turn to the shield to help beat the Wyatt's...the shield blow them off, until the night after Royal Rumble, the Wyatt's are beating down somebody like Jericho or RVD...and suddenly the shield theme hits and you have a stare down between the two factions. That would actually be really awesome. I never thought about a potential feud between the groups in that way before. I'm not sure if WWE will do it but it could work. If they do it that way I hope they save it for next year's wrestlemania. I would like to keep them apart until the build up to wrestlemania. The Shield for the mean time should stay heel and when they do face the Wyatt Family they should only become tweeners and not full on faces because it just wouldn't work with them as faces. To pull it off they would need The Wyatt Family to do way more brutal things though and I'm not sure how far they would be willing to take a storyline like that.

Does anybody else get the feeling that the Olde Brooklyn Lantern that Wyatt carries around has mystical powers like the Undertakers Urn?

BTW, what is their gimmick exactly? Or to be more correct, what exactly does Bray Wyatt preach? Like Raven for example had his stable incarnations based around it's members being freaks, misfits and outcasts and Raven himself was this nihilist pain lover. Now I understand the Family is some sort of a redneck religious cult and Wyatt character is based on Max Cady, but what exactly does he preach? The vibe I get is that Bray believes that he is the devil in human form, as he said in the opening promo "I created war" and other things he's said on NXT. It would be great if everyone was shown to be afraid of him, like he gives them the creeps, even guys like Cena, Sheamus and Triple H would would normally crack hillbilly or inbred jokes. Thanks!

I actually get "60's LSD cult" vibes from them. Things like "I created war" and "I'm the eater of worlds" combined with Bray's mannerisms and insane laughing just totally remind me of someone on psychedellics. I f***ing love it.

I've had a couple days to think on this. These chants are unfortunately going to continue. The best way to deal with it is for Bray to acknowledge them. "I've gone by that name before. Before my eyes were open. I would chant that name to myself at night until the weakness that it represented left me". If you make the chant something Vince supposedly wants, then you remove the cool factor from it. As for how people remembered Husky Harris, any kid with a computer would know everything there is to know about Bray/Husky in 5 minutes, including videos.
IF the chants do continue, it won't ruin the gimmick. The biggest hurdle I see is them being booked like Shield 2.0 hillbilly edition. They're going to have to find another direction for them other than jumping upper carders.

As I said in another thread, to write Bray Wyatt off as a inbred rapist is wrong and detremental to him. What, just because he has a southern accent automaticly makes him inbred and a cannibal? Going by that logic, I think Zack Ryder is the head of a mafia crime family and puts people in the bottom of a lake with cement shoes just because hes from New York and talks funny.
