fixed On a more serious note, I also think the way the match was worked might've had something to do with this as well. Brie controlled most of the match with Tamina only getting a few power moves here and there. It's not really the best way to establish Tamina as a monster heel and Brie as a plucky underdog babyface. Lance Storm was actually discussing this on one of his many radio shows with Bryan Alvarez. Though he referenced Orton vs Miz in how Miz simply rolled out of the ring and then got clotheslined by Orton. That's it. Orton didn't cheat or trick Miz in any way. He just clotheslined him and that's how he got got the cutoff. Or the same with Seth Rollins in the tag match this week, which he also pointed out, where Rollins took move after move after move from the babyfaces with very little resistance on his part during the shine. But then the Rhodes were cut off initially because Reigns happened to trip Cody, I believe. Honestly it seems nowadays that the WWE has forgotten how to even book their matches effectively for whatever reason. They can still book matches that get a good reaction, but it doesn't seem to do much to get you invested in what you're watching as a whole. And the Brie/Tamina match was yet another example of that.

How is AJ relatable? Her gimmick is that she's completely insane and kind of a groupy. Oh c'mon, who amongst us isn't at least a little insane?

So, anyone remember the time that the Bellas made Natalya cry in her hometown on her birthday?
Apparently, WWE doesn't.

FAN remembers...but FAN ain't just gonna keep it to FAN's self, maybe you realize that you shouldn't just turn the Bella's face, maybe this whole thing just blows over.

FOr decades all it's taken is rolling out of the ring waiting for the guy to follow and rolling back in and stomping him once he chases you. Stomps are legal too and a lesser move than a clothesline

I think once again some people within the WWE just assume that their audience watches Total Divas. Lol this, my sister watches the E network and subsequently Total Divas. She doesn't watch wrestling at all and only would have the vaguest of idea of the women on the show. They underestimate how popular the E network is with women. It honestly truly blows my mind that Total Divas is a success. I thought for sure there just would not be an audience for it besides the token niche every show manages to get. Wrestling fans would by and large not tune in out of hatred for reality TV (and the few wrestling fans who like reality tv seem to be like me, guys who like competitive reality TV but couldn't give less of a shit about real housewives style noncompetitive stuff like Total Divas). And E's regular audience wouldn't want to watch it out of the public's hatred of wrestling* and the subject of wrestling just being such a niche thing. E's regular audience actually tuning in to the show is quite shocking to me. I actually like Total Divas though, so I suppose I'm happy about it. It just shocks me. *I think part of it is that the public's hatred of wrestling has died down and now the mainstream are apathetic about it and its becoming more accepted again. At least partially, but I still tend to assume that the hatred is real and out there honestly just out of instinct.

Because, contrary to popular belief, there is no significant crossover between WWE programming and Total Divas. Everyone watching RAW just knows her as one half of a heel sister tag team and likely had no idea she's even dating Daniel Bryan.

I'm sure they wouldn't understand why I like Stephanie and don't like Triple H.

You know, this line of thought that someone should instantly be as over as their love interest explains a lot about Michelle McCool.

Uh Because for the past year her and her sister have been mean girls? Yup, and aside from dating DB, they haven't really given her any sorta face-ish character either. You're just supposed to like her sorta by extension.

Lol this, my sister watches the E network and subsequently Total Divas. She doesn't watch wrestling at all and only would have the vaguest of idea of the women on the show. They underestimate how popular the E network is with women. See I never understood what WWE was trying to accomplish with Total Divas. If they just wanted to make a show for E Network, fine as my understanding is that the program is doing well on the network. If they thought they were going to get viewers from E! to watch Raw and Smackdown then they're idiots. If they thought a majority of their fans (which is predominantly male) was going to go and watch the show religiously then they're even bigger idiots. Not saying there aren't those that do cross over, because there are, but the percentage is not big enough to make a dent in the ratings (though I do think they've somewhat got the picture there as the Total Divas shilling and promos have gone WAY down on USA). It's kind of like with that season of Tough Enough they did (which I was entertained by). I read that USA and WWE were hoping that Rhima would last longer than she did and were shocked that she did terribly. Well no shit she didn't do well. Agreed. Like my mom watches and really likes Total Divas; but doesn't watch wrestling or only watches if I happen to be visiting on a Monday night and am watching. Meanwhile, if I'm over there and it's DVR'ed, I'll watch Total Divas, but otherwise don't bother. I'm betting the demographic breaks down like that largely across the board.

You know...if people were given a reason to like her or a reason why she's a face now, MAYBE you'd get a response. But considering no one knows what allegiances lie where in the diva's division as well as just how random everything is, along with 2 very uninteresting divas-to-be...it's not very hard at all to fault the audience.

I'm imagining WWE Officials in lab coats, like scientists in a movie, looking over Brie, who is on an exam table, poking and prodding her, looking at each other, shaking their heads, saying "I just don't understand this woman, I'm so confused, it seems like people should like her."

The main problem is that she never really turned face. Honestly, what was her face turn? The fact that Total Divas revealed her to be engaged to current top star Daniel Bryan? Nothing WWE has done on the main shows has ever made her out to be a sympathetic character whatsoever. In fact when Cole ranted "Why was Nikki banned from ringside?" I found myself agreeing with JBL when he said "Because of twin magic..these girls always cheat."

It'd have all been worth it if we got Michelle using the Stones 'Start Me Up' as an entrance theme.

You know what else annoys me about this?
They've said on TV how long Daniel Bryan and Brie have been dating, when just over a year ago, there was that big storyline regarding AJ Lee and her several suiters. Again, it's just insulting the fans for ever getting behind that story, because by mentioning how long Bryan has been dating Brie, they're basically saying they don't care about sticking to a story or they think we're too stupid to remember. I'd expect this out of Russo, but it becomes more and more ridiculous with how narrowminded their booking is. It's the same with something like a kayfabe injury or a spot that 20 years ago, someone would sell like death. Now? They might miss one show tops, then return showing no sign of wear or even playing up the injury. They try to blur this line with reality, all the while not caring about keeping kayfabe. STOP TURNING INTO f***ING RUSSO!
