Let's see here. Del Rio has been in the WWE (Here used to mean "Main Roster, On TV") since December 2010. I think he's literally spent 2 and a half months of that time not in the World Title Picture. He's being pushed too hard, too fast, and he's a black hole of charisma and personality. I want to care about him, I really do, but he just has NOTHING going for him anymore.

I think the problem is that he's overshadowed in practically every field by somebody else. The epitome of a jack of all trades, master of none.
I like Del Rio, but he just doesn't grab me as a performer.

Because he's not aggressive enough.
Clearly, if they just let Alberto del Rio show more aggression than ever before, we'd all get behind him.

He's a good hand in the ring, but he has nothing going for him enough to justify his perpetual push. That's the issue. In a world where others have been de-pushed and shuffled down the card, Del Rio still maintains his exact lofty position despite there being no logical business reason as to why.

I don't hate him. I just hate the way WWE constantly pushes him farther than he should be. He's a pretty boring guy, and he's not very over considering his push.

Oh man. This thread just made me realize something. The Cena/Del Rio feud is going to last 6 months isn't it?

Everyone else can focus on the WWE and IC Titles while Cena and Del Rio are locked in eternal combat in the Phantom Zone.

At this point you know what he's going to say in his promo's because they're all practically the same.

Put me in with the "He's dull" group. There's literally nothing he brings to the table, other than his "Pretend everyone has a concussion like Dolph" moveset.
Which makes me wonder, would this have been the result of immediately thrusting a Lance Storm to the world title scene?

He wasn't in the INDEEEZZZZZ.
If he had spent 10 years in Chcara or pre-Sinclair ROH he'd be a God.

Some of his matches are straight-up depressing to watch. The lack of energy in the arena is unsettling. It's gotta be the way he works, there's other guys that don't show much personality but can get the crowd going throughout the match and make things fun. Del Rio is a special kind of boring, to the point where I want to analyze and write an essay on it. Maybe I will someday. I'll have to get a zoloft prescription though.

I honestly think it's because Del Rio doesn't have any chemistry with any of his opponents which in turn makes him seem dull and boring.

I really want to read his contract because considering how WWE seems to have a love of yo-yo pushes Del Rio never really had that fall. I'm starting to feel like he had a clause in his contract where he had to be in the title picture or something.
