Monday Night Raw, May 27th, 1996 The night after In Your House begins with Jerry Lawler and Brian Christopher mocking Ron Simmons for his loss last night. Gorilla Monsoon then made a match between Lawler and Christopher and Simmons and his partner… Shawn Michaels! Michaels and Simmons get the win, but after the match, Simmons shockingly laid out Michaels with a Dominator! Simmons soaked in the crowd’s boos as he stood over Michaels’ fallen body.
The King of the Ring Tournament kicks off on Raw, with Owen Hart battling Jesse James and Jeff Jarrett taking on Savio Vega. Hart picks up the win over James, while Vega advances over Jarrett. Later in the night, Goldust comments on James’ loss, hinting at a future Intercontinental Championship rematch…
At In Your House, Mankind made good on his threat to take control of The Undertaker, forcing him to lay down in their match. On Raw, Mankind continued to wreak havoc, forcing The Undertaker to Paul Bearer. With the Man From The Darkside under his control, Mankind may just be the most powerful entity in the WWF…
The Rulers of the Ring captured the WWF Tag Team Championship at In Your House, defeating The Smoking Gunns. The Gunns, however, were quick to bounce back, picking up a win over The Bodydonnas on Raw. When will the former Champions invoke their rematch?
Finally, tensions seems to be building in the Million Dollar Corporation. Despite being a reluctant member, Razor Ramon was proving to be a great investment for Ted DiBiase. But at In Your House, The 1-2--3 Kid’s interference backfired, allowing Goldust to defeat The Bad Guy to retain the Intercontinental Championship. On Raw, Kid tried to apologize, saying that he and Razor can dominate the King of the Ring Tournament…

Monday Night Raw, June 3rd, 1996 After Ron Simmons’ shocking betrayal of Shawn Michaels last week on Raw, Gorilla Monsoon announced that per the request of the WWF Champion, Simmons will meet Michaels for the title at King of the Ring. Later in the night, Michaels promised that Simmons would regret his actions…
In King of the Ring action, Jake “The Snake” Roberts and Ahmed Johnson advanced to the Quarterfinals. Roberts win came at the expense of 1-2-3 Kid, thanks to the interference of Razor Ramon. Afterwards, Kid wanted a piece of Razor, but Ted DiBiase managed to hold the two apart. Meanwhile, Johnson defeated British Bulldog in his qualifier to advance.
Mankind brought out The Undertaker to team with him on Raw. The two made an impressive duo, easily destroying The Hardy Boys. Speaking of impressive duos, Vader and Yokozuna locked horns again, this time fighting to a double disqualification.
Goldust defeated Phineas Godwinn, but was then attacked by Jesse James, who clearly wants another crack at the Intercontinental Championship. And Billy Gunn picked up a disqualification win over The Ringmaster, after Hunter Hearst Helmsley interfered. Bart Gunn made the save, sparking a wild brawl between the two teams.
Quick Results Jake “The Snake” Roberts def. 1-2-3 Kid in a King of the Ring First Round Match Goldust def. Phineas Godwinn Mankind and The Undertaker def. The Hardy Boys Yokozuna and Vader fought to a double disqualification Billy Gunn def. The Ringmaster by disqualification Ahmed Johnson def. British Bulldog in a King of the Ring First Round Match

Monday Night Raw, June 10th, 1996 Tonight, the King of the Ring Tournament concludes it’s first round, while also kicking off it’s Quarterfinals, as Owen Hart battles Ahmed Johnson, Razor Ramon squares off with Sycho Sid, and Bob Holly meets a mystery opponent. Holly’s mystery opponent is introduced by Gorilla Monsoon as Terry Gordy. Gordy makes quick work of Holly in an impressive debut for the legendary brawler. Johnson is able to overcome attempted interference by British Bulldog to defeat Owen Hart and advance to the semifinals. And Razor defeats Sid in the final first round match, but is confronted by 1-2-3 Kid after the match.
Ron Simmons defeats Fatu in the main event of the evening, but is attacked by Shawn Michaels after the match. Michaels laid out Simmons with Sweet Chin Music, then promised more of the same come King of the Ring…
More matches are announced for the undercard of King of the Ring: The Smoking Gunns will get their rematch for the WWF Tag Team Championship, Goldust and Jesse James will meet for the Intercontinental Championship and Gorilla Monsoon announces that Mankind will go one on one with… The Undertaker?!
Quick Results Terry Gordy def. Bob Holly in a King of the Ring First Round Match Ahmed Johnson def. Owen Hart in a King of the Ring Quarterfinal Match Mankind def. Duke “The Dumpster” Droese Razor Ramon def. Sycho Sid in a King of the Ring First Round Match Ron Simmons def. Fatu
WWF Superstars, June 16th, 1996 Quick Results The Bodydonnas def. The Hardy Boys Jake “The Snake” Roberts def. Brian Christopher in a King of the Ring Quarterfinal Match Headbangers def. Disciples of Apocalypse Phineas Godwinn def. Barry Windham by disqualification The show closed out with Bret Hart talking about King of the Ring and warning Ron Simmons that he made a mistake by attacking Shawn Michaels…
Monday Night Raw, June 17th, 1996 With six days to go before King of the Ring, Ron Simmons thought he had the drop on Shawn Michaels. After the WWF Champion had defeated Jeff Jarrett in the evening’s non-title main event, Simmons attacked his King of the Ring opponent, laying him out once again with The Dominator. But Bret Hart, of all people, made the save, running Simmons off. What role, if any, will The Hitman play at King of the Ring?
In King of the Ring Tournament action, The Turkish Predator and Terry Gordy, two men who are quickly gaining reputations as monsters, advanced to the semifinals by way of victories over Savio Vega and Razor Ramon, respectively. So the King of the Ring Semifinals are set, as The Predator battles Ahmed Johnson and Gordy goes up against Jake “The Snake” Roberts.
Razor Ramon’s tournament loss came thanks to interference by The 1-2-3 Kid. Afterwards, Kid challenged Razor to a match at the PPV, with Razor gaining his freedom from The Million Dollar Corporation if he wins. But if he loses, he must leave the WWF forever…
The Rulers of the Ring defeated The Godwinns in a warm-up match for this Sunday, as The Smoking Gunns looked on with interest. But after the match, The Gunslingers attacked The Godwinns. As a result, the two teams will meet on the Free-For-All prior to King of the Ring.
Another man who had a warm-up match on Raw was Jesse James, who defeated Skip. But afterwards, Goldust attacked his challenger for this Sunday. Who will prevail when Goldust defends the Intercontinental Championship at King of the Ring.
Finally, Mankind and Paul Bearer met face-to-face to debate who really controlled The Undertaker. Bearer seemed to get through at first, but Mankind used the Urn to crack Bearer’s skull open. As the manager gushed blood, The Undertaker could only stand by, bound to obey he who holds the power source. What will happen this Sunday? Will The Undertaker be able to break Mankind’s spell, or will the deranged one prevail once again…?
Quick Results The Turkish Predator def. Savio Vega in a King of the Ring Quarterfinal Match Terry Gordy def. Razor Ramon in a King of the Ring Quarterfinal Match The Rulers of the Ring def. The Godwinns Jesse James def. Skip Shawn Michaels def. Jeff Jarrett
King of the Ring, June 23rd, 1996 We kicked off the night with the Free-For-All, featuring a hard-hitting tag team encounter between The Godwinns and The Gunslingers. Both teams fought tooth and nail, but in the end, The Godwinns were able to squeak out the win. However, their celebration was short lived, as after the match, The Gunslingers attacked The Godwinns with their cowbells, signifying that this feud isn’t quite over yet…
The King of the Ring PPV opened with Terry Gordy battling Jake “The Snake” Roberts in the first semifinal match of the tournament. Jake put up a great fight, but like Bob Holly and Razor Ramon before him, he fell to the awesome might of Gordy, who moved on to the Final…
In the second Semifinal match, Ahmed Johnson and The Turkish Predator battled in a classic big man style match. It was Johnson who picked up the win, after a Pearl River Plunge, but The Predator attacked Johnson after the match and delivered a brutal assault, including ramming him into the ringpost multiple times. As Johnson was helped to the back, he was favoring his ribs, a bad omen with Terry Gordy waiting in the wings later on…
Next, Goldust defended the Intercontinental Championship in a fantastic match against Jesse James. The two gave it a great effort, with James managing to come out on top, capturing his Championship in the WWF. How will Goldust take his loss? We’ll find out tomorrow night on Raw!
Razor Ramon had a lot riding on his match with The 1-2-3 Kid. Win, and he would be free of Ted DiBiase’s rule. Lose, and he would have to leave the WWF forever. Although there were some tense moments, Razor eventually connected with the Razor’s Edge to win the match and his freedom from Ted DiBiase.
The Smoking Gunns next tried to regain the WWF Tag Team Championship from The Rulers of the Ring. As usual, both teams put on a textbook tag team performance, but just like at In Your House, The Rulers came out on top to regain their titles.
The biggest question coming into the next match was could The Undertaker overcome Mankind’s control over him. At first, Mankind seemed to dominate, as The Undertaker couldn’t even lift an arm to defend himself. But midway through the match, Paul Bearer made his way to the ring and stole the Urn. As Bearer raised it above his head, The Undertaker seemed to find his second wind and took the fight to Mankind. After hitting a Tombstone, it was over, The Undertaker had prevailed over the deranged one.
Ahmed Johnson’s ribs were heavily taped as he entered for his match with Terry Gordy. As expected, Gordy focused his attack on the ribs, as Johnson struggled just to catch his breath. But Gordy got just a little too cocky and paid for it, as Johnson hit a Spinebuster from out of nowhere to win the match and the 1996 King of the Ring Tournament.
Finally, the WWF World Heavyweight Championship was on the line, as Shawn Michaels defended against Ron Simmons in a rematch of last month’s In Your House. Simmons used his superior strength to dominate Michaels for much of the match, as Bret Hart looked on from the announce table. Simmons took time out of beating on Michaels to taunt Hart, who left his spot to confront Simmons on the ring apron. Michaels tried to use the distraction to allow him to hit Sweet Chin Music, but Simmons dodged, causing Michaels to Superkick Hart off the apron. Simmons then hit The Dominator on Michaels to capture the WWF World Heavyweight Championship.
Quick Results Free-For-All The Godwinns def. The Gunslingers Terry Gordy def. Jake “The Snake” Roberts in a King of the Ring Semifinal Match Ahmed Johnson def. The Turkish Predator in a King of the Ring Semifinal Match Jesse James def. WWF Intercontinental Champion Goldust to win the title Razor Ramon def. 1-2-3 Kid WWF Tag Team Champions The Rulers of the Ring def. Smoking Gunns to retain the titles The Undertaker def. Mankind Ahmed Johnson def. Terry Gordy to become the 1996 King of the Ring Ron Simmons def. WWF World Heavyweight Champion Shawn Michaels to win the title

Allow me to share my dilemma. Razor Ramon is my most over guy right now. I was contemplating turning him heel, but I'm not sure.
Pros: - Ron Simmons is my only main event heel, so turning Razor would balance it out - Razor is in need of his character being freshened up, this would also accomplish that - Razor could have some amazing brawls with Bret, Undertaker and Michaels
Cons: - I just ended an angle would've been perfect to turn him and I don't know what I else I could do - I just gave Simmons the title, I don't want to change the guard again so quickly and heel Razor should be on top
I just don't know. Vader and Goldust will be main event level very soon, hopefully. So I could just leave him face and run with Razor as an opponent for Simmons. But I just feel like my most over guy should be the standard bearer.

It's January 4th...
It's time....
for Wrestlestock 2020!!
Dark match: Tobias Pure defeated Jason Hades with the Crimson Grin) Camel Clutch). Hades refused to job at first until I informed him of his thin ice status (ie. I don't give a shit if you walk out).
Brandon Gatson is out and challenges Zack Sabre Jr to a rematch only this time for the IC title. Zack makes quick work of Gatson and finishes him off with the Cross Arm Breaker. Any excuse to put these two in the ring together again, I'll take it. Commentary put over that Zack will not be well rested for his hardcore match later tonight.
SOA defeated Rob Van Wicked and the debuting Jay White. Queen Bee has decided that these two will become a team from now on. RVW eats the curbstomp and the new team lose. Jay White looks unimpressed with his new tag partner.
Matt Vaughn def Yaz Urano. Great chemistry from these two. Yaz turns heel post match and attacks Vaughn with a chair then hits a tombstone on it.
MVK Valkabious returns to the ring and defeats Freelance with the Chokeout. MVK is one angry looking dude.
Brother Shabubu and The True Way are in the ring. They know Walter wants to get his hands on KAGETORA but he's busy tonight, so Walter will have to choose between Triple or Cody Hall. WALTER says he'll take em both he's hardcore. WALTER wins the handicap match after pinning Cody Hall with the Golden Bomb.
Aguilera defeated AJ Cruise after Cruise missed a chairshot and rebounded off the top rope KOing himself. Aguilera hits the 630 for the win.
Intercontinental title match: KAGETORA defeated Zack Sabre Jr in a hardcore match to become the new champion. Zack looks on tearfully at the IC title that means so much to him. Fantastic match and the crowd ate it up. Zack waves goodbye to the OWL fans, I think he's done here.
Match of the night: Zack Sabre Jr vs Brandon Gatson Dud of the Night: WALTER and The True Way should be getting bigger reactions.
- Zack Sabre Jr signed with Global Force Wrestling ten days after this show, so I was correct in taking the title from him. - Championship Wrestling From Hollywood has been taken over by Frank Goodman and he has; fired Aleister Black!! Bwahahaha!!! Eat shit Aleister.

Monday Night Raw, June 24th, 1996 One night after Ron Simmons captured the WWF Championship, Gorilla Monsoon announced that his first challenger will be the man who inadvertently helped get the win, Bret Hart. But Shawn Michaels isn’t going to take his loss of the gold laying down, as he interrupted Simmons’ victory speech to attack the new Champion, making his intentions crystal clear…
Vader and Yokozuna concluded their rivalry on Raw, when Vader defeated the mighty Sumo following a trio of Vader Bombs, after Yokozuna was knocked out when he ran headfirst in the exposed steel. The question now is who is next in The Mastodon’s sights?
New Intercontinental Champion Jesse James was in action on Raw, but following his victory over Al Snow, James was attacked by former Champion Goldust. The Bizarre One isn’t finished with James quite yet and a Championship rematch has to be in the cards.
The Rulers of the Ring took on The Godwinns in non-title tag team action on Raw. The Godwinns were defeated after the outside interference of their rivals, The Gunslingers. Theses two rugged tag teams are headed for a collision and it stands to reason that the winners could be next in line for a Championship match…
As for the former Champions, The Smoking Gunns, it looks as if they will have to contend with the team of Owen Hart and The British Bulldog in the near future. Bulldog and Owen had words for The Gunns, calling out the former Champions for their failure to regain the gold, saying that they could easily beat Helmsley and The Ringmaster for the titles…
New King of the Ring Ahmed Johnson took on The 1-2-3 Kid in singles action, but following Johnson’s victory, he was attacked by the man he defeated in the King of the Ring Semifinals, The Turkish Predator. After their first match, Predator attacked and injured Johnson’s ribs. Can The Pearl River Powerhouse mount the comeback needed to defeat this brute a second time?
Finally, after The Undertaker picked up a win over Mankind at King of the Ring, Sycho Sid has come to finish what he started prior to WrestleMania. The master and ruler of the world jumped The Dead Man after he defeated Jeff Jarrett on Raw. What else does Sid have in store for his rival?
Quick Results Vader def. Yokozuna Jesse James def. Al Snow The Rulers of the Ring def. The Godwinns Ahmed Johnson def. 1-2-3 Kid The Undertaker def. Jeff Jarrett by disqualification Razor Ramon def. Issac Yankem DDS
WWF Superstars, June 30th, 1996 Quick Results Terry Gordy def. Aldo Montoya The Headbangers def. The Gunslingers after The Godwinns interfered Brian Christopher def. Jeff Hardy Crush def. Bob Holly Al Snow def. Fatu
Monday Night Raw, July 1st, 1996 Last week on Raw, Bret Hart was named as Ron Simmons’ first challenger for the WWF Championship at In Your House: Best of the Best. Bret returned to in-ring action on Raw, taking on 1-2-3 Kid. Bret had the match well at hand, until Simmons ran out and attacked his upcoming opponent. It was the former Champion and Bret’s SummerSlam opponent, Shawn Michaels, who made the save for the Hitman. But Shawn and Bret engaged in a staredown afterwards, as Simmons taunted the two from the ramp, holding the Championship aloft…
Mankind and Sycho Sid, two of the WWF’s most deranged competitors, made their mark by targeting two of the more cerebral competitors in Jake Roberts and The Undertaker, respectively. Mankind jumped Roberts after his match with Al Snow, laying out “The Snake” with a vicious chairshot, before locking in The Mandible Claw and refusing to let it go. Meanwhile, Sid bragged about leaving The Undertaker laying last week, but would soon regret his words. As Sid taunted The Deadman, The Undertaker burst through the ring and planted Sid with a Tombstone, leaving him laying.
Goldust took on Savio Vega in singles action, winning by disqualification after Jesse James returned the favor from last week. These two are set to meet in an Intercontinental Championship rematch at In Your House…
Another Championship match now scheduled for In Your House will see The Rulers of the Ring defend the Tag Team Championship against Owen Hart and The British Bulldog, who claimed they will do what The Smoking Gunns couldn’t, by defeating The Ringmaster and Hunter Hearst Helmsely.
In other tag team division happenings, The Godwinns defeated The Gunslingers in a No-Holds-Barred Match, after Henry hit Bradshaw with his own cowbell. With The Godwinns apparently winning the rivalry, what’s next for the cousins?
Finally, several new Superstars are on their way to the WWF. Salvatore Sincere sent greetings from his native Italy. However, one has to question his sincerity, as he only left his waiter with a twenty cents tip after a large meal for one. In the tag team division, Phillip LaFon and Doug Furnas are on their way. Furnas has made his name in Japan, alongside LaFon, a Canadian-born athlete with ties to The Hart family. Finally, Olympic Weightlifter Mark Henry was interviewed by Vince McMahon, when Jerry Lawler came out to confront him. Lawler claimed to be way stronger than Henry, but Henry brought Lawler to his knees with a simple handshake…
Quick Results The Godwinns def. The Gunslingers in a No-Holds-Barred Match The Turkish Predator def. Marty Jannetty Goldust def. Savio Vega by disqualification Jake Roberts def. Al Snow Bret Hart def. 1-2-3 Kid by disqualification
On Tuesday, July 2nd, Bret Hart informed WWF officials that he would be taking an unknown amount of time off in order to deal with personal issues. As a result, he will miss In Your House and SummerSlam. Tune in to WWF Programming for more on this breaking story.
WWF Superstars, July 7th, 1996 Quick Results Duke Droese def. Alex Porteau The Headbangers def. The Hardy Boys Brian Christopher def. Hakushi Terry Gordy def. Marty Jannetty Before the main event, Bob Holly introduced his cousin, an unsuccessful racecar driver named Crash. Bob and Crash Holly def. Disciples of Apocalypse
Monday Night Raw, July 8th, 1996 With Bret Hart abruptly taking time off, it was announced that there would be a battle royal to determine who will challenge Ron Simmons for the WWF Championship at In Your House. Razor Ramon, The Undertaker, Sycho Sid, 1-2-3 Kid, Billy Gunn, Bart Gunn, Mankind, Jake “The Snake” Roberts, Henry Godwinn and former Champion Shawn Michaels competed for the chance to compete for the WWF Championship. The Gunns held nothing back against one another, duking it out at the opening bell. Kid was able to toss both men over at the same time, but Razor then eliminated Kid. Mankind tossed Godwinn, then brawled with Roberts, dumping The Snake. Undertaker then eliminated Mankind, who brawled with Roberts outside the ring. Michaels eliminated Sid, but Sid would then climb up on the apron to pull The Undertaker out. As the two pairs brawled at ringside, Michaels eliminated Ramon, but the officials didn’t see it. Ron Simmons came in and gave Michaels the Dominator! Razor rolled back in and chased Simmons off, then noticed Michaels out cold. As the officials returned to the match, Razor pulled Michaels up and threw him over to win. Simmons then reentered the ring, getting in Razor’s face, as the two will now meet at In Your House…
In other action, The Rulers of the Ring and Owen Hart and The British Bulldog built momentum for their title match at In Your House, as The Rulers defeated The Headbanger, while Owen and Bulldog defeated The Hardy Boys.
Jesse James took on Brian Christopher in non-title action, but was jumped afterwards by Goldust. Ahmed Johnson also picked up a win over Vader by disqualification after The Turkish Predator attacked Johnson. But after the match, as the two brawled to the back, a large man came out from the crowd and attacked Vader.
Jerry Lawler made derogatory comments towards Mark Henry, claiming that if he ever sees Henry again, he’ll knock him out with just one punch…
Quick Results Ahmed Johnson def. Vader by disqualification The British Bulldog and Owen Hart def. The Hardy Boys Terry Gordy def. Fatu Jesse James def. Brian Christopher The Rulers of the Ring def. The Headbangers Razor Ramon won a battle royal to become the number one contender for the WWF Championship
WWF Superstars, July 14th, 1996 Quick Results The Bodydonnas def. The Goon and Brooklyn Brawler Crash Holly def. Scott Taylor Al Snow def. Aldo Montoya The Gunslingers def. The Headbangers Savio Vega def. Jeff Jarrett
Monday Night Raw, July 15th, 1996 With six days to go before In Your House, Ron Simmons and Razor Ramon were both in action on Monday Night Raw. Razor’s match went on first and saw The Bad Guy pick up a win over The 1-2-3 Kid. Later in the night, Simmons battled Henry Godwinn in the main event. Simmons picked up the win, but after the match, Ramon leveled him, then posed with the WWF Championship belt. Shawn Michaels was interviewed as well and he promised that whoever walks out of In Your House this Sunday will have to deal with him at SummerSlam…
Two more matches were announced for this Sunday’s In Your House event. First, Gorilla Monsoon announced that Mankind and Sycho Sid will team up to face The Undertaker and Jake “The Snake” Roberts in tag team action. In a preview contest, Roberts defeated Sid by disqualification when Mankind interfered. The Undertaker made the save for his partner-to-be, sparking a wild brawl between the four men. The second match announced was a rematch from the King of the Ring Semifinals, as Ahmed Johnson will take on The Turkish Predator. After the announcement was made, Johnson called out The Predator, leading to another brawl.
At In Your House, the Intercontinental and Tag Team Championships will be defended, as Jesse James faces Goldust in a King of the Ring rematch, while The Rulers of the Ring battle Owen Hart and The British Bulldog. On Raw, Owen and The Bulldog lost to former Champions The Smoking Gunns, following interference by The Rulers of the Ring, leading to a confrontation between all three teams. Meanwhile, Goldust attacked Jesse James following the Intercontinental Champion’s victory over The 1-2-3 Kid.
Mark Henry responded to Jerry Lawler’s comments from last week. The Olympics begin Friday night, so Henry tells Lawler to watch him perform in the weight lifting competitions, then try to knock him out with one punch…
Salvatore Sincere and Doug Furnas and Phillip LaFon will debut next week on Monday Night Raw…
Quick Results Razor Ramon def. The 1-2-3 Kid Smoking Gunns def. Owen Hart and The British Bulldog Jake “The Snake” Roberts def. Sycho Sid by disqualification Jesse James def. The 1-2-3 Kid Ron Simmons def. Henry Godwinn
In Your House: Best of the Best, July 21st, 1996 The evening kicked off with a singles match on the Free-For-All, as Terry Gordy and Savio Vega did battle. Vega put up a hard-fought battle, but in the end, Gordy continued his winning streak, putting Vega away in impressive fashion.
The actual In Your House began with the Intercontinental Championship match, as Jesse James defended against former Champion Goldust. Goldust took the fight to James, utilizing distractions from Marlena to gain the advantage at various points. In the end, however, it was James who was able to pick up the win and retain his title.
Jerry Lawler came out for a special edition of The King’s Court. His guest was a friend of Mark Henry, Rick Titan. Titan talked up Henry’s strength, but Lawler ripped on both men, before sucker punching Titan. He then felled him with a Piledriver, before promising to do the same to Henry if he ever sees him again.
The Tag Team Championship match was next, with Owen Hart and The British Bulldog challenging The Rulers of the Ring. It’s an even match-up, marred by The Smoking Gunns’ interference. The Gunns cost Owen and Bulldog the match, but afterwards, Helmsley and The Ringmaster go after them, sparking another brawl between the three teams.
An unannounced bonus match followed, as Vader took on Henry Godwinn. Vader picked up the win with a Vader Bomb, but after the match, was attacked by the man now known as Kurrgan The Bounty Hunter. Kurrgan put Vader down with a two-handed Chokeslam, then let out a primal scream before exiting the ring.
Next was The Turkish Predator taking on Ahmed Johnson. The Predator focused his attack on Ahmed’s ribs, as well as made liberal use of Harvey Wippleman’s interference. The Predator picked up the win, as Ahmed had to be helped to the back by WWF Officials…
Next was the tag team encounter between Mankind and Sycho Sid and Jake Roberts and The Undertaker. From the beginning, this was a wild brawl, as all four competitors showed no regard for the referee or his attempts to enforce the rules. In the end, the match was thrown out, as the four men all brawled around the ringside area.
The main event was next, as Ron Simmons defended the WWF Championship against Razor Ramon, with Shawn Michaels sitting in on commentary. Late in the match, Simmons taunted Michaels, only to get dropped by Razor. But as Razor went for the Razor’s Edge, Michaels pulled Simmons down and delivered a punch. Razor got in Michaels’ face, as the referee tried to keep order. The confusion allowed Simmons to hit a low blow, then The Dominator to retain his title. Afterwards, Michaels went after Simmons, but Razor spun Shawn around and hit a Razor’s Edge on the former WWF World Champion.
Before the show went off the air, we went backstage to Todd Pettengill, who interviewed WWF President Gorilla Monsoon. Monsoon announced that at SummerSlam, Simmons will be defending his title against both Razor Ramon and Shawn Michaels in a Triple Threat Match!
Quick Results Free-For-All: Terry Gordy def. Savio Vega WWF Intercontinental Champion Jesse James def. Goldust to retain the title WWF Tag Team Champions The Rulers of the Ring def. Also I imagine their stiffness is similar. Oh yeah, I'm sure. I just find it amusing that of all people, they got that high of a quality rating. Same thing happened in a 1998 game, when Dan Severn and Chainz had great chemistry.

Word is going around that WWF officials are planning several tournaments in the next couple of months. With so many tag teams on the roster, it's expected that there will be a number one contenders tournament exclusive to Superstars. A similar tournament is also in the works for the Intercontinental Championship.
As well, it is believed that the Women's Championship may be reinstated, with Joanie Lauer expected to be debuting very soon. And a second-tier midcard Championship is planned for later in 1996 or early 1997. Tune into to WWF programming for more information as it becomes available.

Monday Night Raw, July 22nd, 1996 At In Your House, Ron Simmons picked up a tainted win over Razor Ramon to retain the WWF World Heavyweight Championship, thanks to poorly timed interference by Shawn Michaels. But Gorilla Monsoon decided that at SummerSlam, Simmons will have to defend against both Ramon and Michaels in a Triple Threat Match. On Raw, Simmons had words for Michaels, while Ramon and Michaels had words for one another. While things remained cordial tonight, can the same be said as we get closer to SummerSlam?
After a tag team match at In Your House ended in a no-contest, there was plenty of unfinished business between Jake “The Snake” Roberts and Mankind, as well as The Undertaker and Sycho Sid. Mankind cut a promo on Roberts, but during that promo, the ring was invaded by snakes! As Mankind was distracted by the venomous creatures surrounding him, Roberts slipped in and hit the DDT! Later, Undertaker and Sid met in the main event, with The Undertaker winning by disqualification after Sid introduced a chair into the fray. The Undertaker shrugged off the attack, however, as the two big men brawled to the back…
In other fallout from In Your House: Ahmed Johnson had words for The Turkish Predator, promising that their issue isn’t settled yet; Jerry Lawler mockingly wished Mark Henry good luck this week in the Olympics, while also wishing Rick Titan a speedy recovery; After The Smoking Gunns cost Owen Hart and The British Bulldog the Tag Team Championship, Billy Gunn took on Owen Hart one-on-one. Billy won, but only because The British Bulldog interfered, causing Owen to be disqualified, with Bart having to make the save for his brother; Kurrgan The Bounty Hunter made his in-ring debut, but after the match, was attacked by Vader.
Raw also saw several debuts: Doug Furnas and Phillip LaFon picked up a win over The Headbangers in the team’s first WWF match; Salvatore Sincere and Tracy Smothers also made their debuts, facing one another. Sincere picked up the win in this match, as the newcomer from Italy looks to become a major player in the WWF…
Quick Results Doug Furnas and Phillip LaFon def. The Headbangers Kurrgan The Bounty Hunter def. Alex Porteau Billy Gunn def. Owen Hart by disqualification Salvatore Sincere def. Tracy Smothers The Undertaker def. Sycho Sid by disqualification

Monday Night Raw, July 29th, 1996 Ron Simmons got the jump on both of his SummerSlam challengers on the most recent edition of Monday Night Raw. After Shawn Michaels and Razor Ramon defeated WWF Tag Team Champions The Rulers of the Ring, in a non-title match, Simmons jumped the former Champion, Michaels, from behind, laying him out with a Dominator. Ramon then made the save, but as he checked on Michaels, Simmons clipped his leg, then hit a Dominator on Ramon as well. With SummerSlam right around the corner, the Champion seems to have the upper hand thus far…
Another match was made for SummerSlam, as Gorilla Monsoon announced that The Undertaker and Sycho Sid will meet one-on-one in a No-Disqualifications match. A number of other rivalries seem to be pushing towards SummerSlam encounters as well. The Turkish Predator took on Henry Godwinn in singles action, but afterwards, Ahmed Johnson made his return, attacking The Predator and chasing him from the ring. As well, The British Bulldog defeated Bart Gunn, following interference by Owen Hart. Billy Gunn made the save, as the two teams are set to meet next week, with Tag Team Championship implications…
After Jerry Lawler’s actions at In Your House, Rick Titan has challenged Lawler to a match next week on Raw. In addition, Kurrgan The Bounty Hunter is set to battle Vader one-on-one, following Kurrgan’s run-in on Vader following his match with Savio Vega….
Mankind and Jake “The Snake” Roberts met on Raw, but the match went to a double disqualification. Afterwards, multiple officials and Superstars had to be called in to separate the two, as tensions between the two cerebral Superstars escalate…
Salvatore Sincere continues to make his mark on the WWF. Tracy Smothers came out to the ring to announce that he was honored to say he wrestled on Monday Night Raw last week, but that he is retiring from the sport of professional wrestling. Sincere came out and shook Smothers’ hand, wishing him the best. But as Smothers turned to acknowledge his fans, Sincere blasted him from behind with a forearm, then laid into him with kicks as he laid on the mat. Sincere was showered in boos as he drilled Smothers with the Sincerely Yours before leaving….
Another Superstar who made an impact was Terry Gordy, who attacked Jesse James following his Intercontinental Championship defense against Goldust. Gordy appears to be after the gold, but is James up for the challenge? Finally, Rocky Maivia, the first-ever third generation Superstar in WWF history, is preparing to make his debut. The son of Rocky Johnson and grandson of High Chief Peter Maivia, Rocky Maivia plans to continue the legacy of his family name…

Henry Godwinn by disqualification Mankind and Jake “The Snake” Roberts fought to a no-contest Vader def. Savio Vega Shawn Michaels and Razor Ramon def. The Rulers of the Ring in a non-title match
WWF Superstars, August 4th, 1996 Quick Results Phineas Godwinn def. Alex Porteau Doug Furnas and Phillip LaFon def. The Hardy Boyz Fatu def. Marty Jannetty Al Snow and Steve Blackman fought to a ten minute time limit draw Bob Holly def. Crush by disqualification
Monday Night Raw, August 5th, 1996 On Monday Night Raw, tensions between the three men involved in the SummerSlam main event rose, as Razor Ramon called out Ron Simmons, looking for retribution after the WWF Champion attacked both Razor and Shawn Michaels last week. Simmons came out and brawled with Ramon, with The Bad Guy getting the better of the exchange. But as Razor taunted Simmons, Michaels snuck in and laid out Razor with Sweet Chin Music, standing tall with just thirteen days left before SummerSlam…
More matches were announced for SummerSlam, including a Snake Pit Match between Jake “The Snake” Roberts and Mankind. Jake called out Mankind and demanded his signature match with the Deranged One, who gleefully accepted. Also added to SummerSlam, Terry Gordy will challenge Jesse James for the Intercontinental Championship, while Ahmed Johnson and The Turkish Predator will meet in a Falls-Count-Anywhere Match. Johnson and Predator had to held apart by WWF Officials, leading President Gorilla Monsoon to add the stipulation to the already scheduled match. As well, Jerry Lawler, after defeating Rick Titan with a handful of tights, taunted Mark Henry, daring him to show up at SummerSlam for a one-on-one match…
After dispatching Brian Christopher, The Undertaker was jumped by his SummerSlam opponent, Sycho Sid. The two big men look to settle the score in less than two weeks. Another score that has not yet been settled is that between Kurrgan The Bounty Hunter and Vader. The two men met on Raw, with Vader winning by count out after ramming Kurrgan head first into the ring post. After the match, Kurrgan gained a measure of revenge, sending Vader to the outside, where he was held back by manager Jim Cornette.
In the main event of the evening, a match meant to decide the number one contenders for the Tag Team Championship come SummerSlam ended up having a non-conclusive ending. The Rulers of the Ring attacked both The Smoking Gunns and Owen Hart and The British Bulldog, leading to a three-way brawl between the teams. How will Gorilla Monsoon address the Championship situation as SummerSlam draws closer…?
Quick Results Terry Gordy def. Aldo Montoya Vader def. Kurrgan The Bounty Hunter by count out Jerry Lawler def. Rick Titan The Undertaker def. Brian Christopher Owen Hart and The British Bulldog and The Smoking Gunns fought to a no-contest when The Rulers of the Ring interfered

Monday Night Raw, August 12th, 1996 Six days before SummerSlam, the two men set to challenge Ron Simmons for the WWF Championship collided in an impromptu main event match. After Shawn Michaels laid out Razor Ramon with Sweet Chin Music last week, Razor came out and challenged Michaels to face him like a man. Michaels came out and a match appeared to be taking place. However, minutes into the match, Simmons charged to the ring and laid out both men with the Championship, then planted Michaels with a Dominator on the belt. Razor, however, fought Simmons off, planting the Champion with a Razor’s Edge and standing tall over him to end the final Raw before SummerSlam…
Another Triple Threat Match is set for SummerSlam, as The Rulers of the Ring will defend the WWF Tag Team Championship against Owen Hart and The British Bulldog, as well as The Smoking Gunns. In a preview on Raw, Owen Hart defeated Bart Gunn and The Ringmaster, forcing Bart to submit to the Sharpshooter en route to victory, while The British Bulldog held The Ringmaster out of the ring. At SummerSlam, will The Ringmaster and Hunter Hearst Helmsley be able to keep their titles, or will The Smoking Gunns become three time Champions, or will the brothers-in-law capture their first title as a team?
The Turkish Predator continued to prove that he is a force to be reckoned with, defeating Henry Godwinn in dominating fashion. After the match, Harvey Wippleman challenged Phineas Godwinn to take on The Predator, who won another quick match. But as The Predator celebrated his wins, Ahmed Johnson ran out to attack his SummerSlam opponent, prompting officials to get between the two once again…
In other SummerSlam build: Jake “The Snake” Roberts defeated Vader by disqualification, thanks to Mankind’s interference. As Vader and Mankind teamed up against Roberts, Kurrgan The Bounty Hunter ran down to even the score and get at his SummerSlam opponent, Vader; The Undertaker tried getting the jump on Sycho Sid, but was instead on the receiving end of a Chokeslam through a table as Sid stood tall; Mark Henry and Terry Gordy both had words for their respective opponents, Jerry Lawler and Intercontinental Champion Jesse James, promising victories come SummerSlam…
On the SummerSlam Free-For-All, a huge ten man tag team contest will take place, as Goldust, Jeff Jarrett, Fatu, Salvatore Sincere and Al Snow team up to face Savio Vega, Duke Droese, Hakushi and The Godwinns.
Next week on Raw, Rocky Maivia makes his debut, Salvatore Sincere takes on Marty Jannetty, Rick Titan will be in action and Gorilla Monsoon makes an announcement about the next In Your House!
Quick Results Owen Hart def. The Ringmaster and Bart Gunn in a Triple Threat Match The Turkish Predator def. Henry Godwinn The Turkish Predator def. Phineas Godwinn Jake “The Snake” Roberts def. Vader by disqualification Sycho Sid def. Bob Holly Shawn Michaels and Razor Ramon fought to a no-contest
SummerSlam, August 18th, 1996 In a ten man tag team contest, the team of Goldust, Jeff Jarrett, Salvatore Sincere, Al Snow and Fatu took on The Godwinns, Savio Vega, Hakushi and Duke Droese on the Free-For-All. After about ten minutes of action, Sincere picked up the pinfall on Phineas Godwinn, aided by a handful of overalls.
The PPV kicked off with Jesse James defending the Intercontinental Championship against Terry Gordy. Gordy gave James a tough fight, but in the end, the Champion retained his title. But as James was celebrating his victory, Salvatore Sincere nailed him in the back of the head with a chair, dropping the Champion. Sincere planted a kiss on the Champion’s forehead, symbolizing that James’ reign is about to end and a new Champion will rise. And he means that sincerely…
Vader battled Kurrgan The Bounty Hunter next. This was a short match, as Vader picked up the win handily with a Vader Bomb.
The Snake Pit match followed, a brutal contest between psychological foes Jake “The Snake” Roberts and Mankind. Surprisingly, Mankind would end up defeating Roberts in his own match, rendering him unconscious with a double arm DDT on a chair, then locking in the Mandible Claw until the referee called for the bell…
Mark Henry came to the ring with revenge on his mind, for Jerry Lawler’s comments towards him and for his assault on Henry’s friend, Rick Titan. Unfortunately for Henry, the rookie was unprepared for Lawler’s bottomless bag of tricks, including the arrival of Lawler’s ally Brian Christopher. With Christopher’s help, Lawler was able to defeat the Olympian, then the two put the boots to Henry until the referee stepped in, allowing Henry to receive medical attention.
The Falls-Count-Anywhere Match between Ahmed Johnson and The Turkish Predator took the rules literally, as the match ended up outside in the parking lot of the arena, where Johnson put The Predator away with a Pearl River Plunge on top of a car.
The Tag Team Championship Triple Threat continued to show why these three teams are at the top of the division in the WWF. The Rulers of The Ring would retain the titles, with Hunter Hearst Helmsley pinning Bart Gunn following a Pedigree, while Billy and Bulldog were brawling at ringside and The Ringmaster held Owen back from making the save(payback for this past Monday on Raw…)
The penultimate match of the evening saw The Undertaker and Sycho Sid battle in a No-Disqualifications match. On Raw, Sid was able to Chokeslam The Undertaker through a table, but an attempt at a repeat resulted in Sid being the one who was Chokeslammed. A Tombstone Piledriver followed, putting Sid away.
Finally, Ron Simmons defended the WWF Championship in a Triple Threat Match against Shawn Michaels and Razor Ramon. Michaels and Ramon both scored near falls on Simmons, Razor via the Razor’s Edge and Michaels off of Sweet Chin Music, but the other broke up the pin each time. Finally, Michaels and Ramon collided, sending Razor to the outside. This allowed Simmons to hit a Spinebuster, then The Dominator on Michaels, to pick up the win and retain the Championship.

I just have to say, it's getting harder to write up these updates. I know what I want to do storywise, but it takes me forever to get it written up. That last update? I worked on it off and on for two weeks.
Anyway, I have a rough outline up to WrestleMania, depending on variables I can't control, like injuries and rehab and morale. I'm actually still debating on a couple of things for the September In Your House, but it's actually my favorite PPV so far, on paper.

So three emails about Chris Harris after my PPV
Raven~ Chris Harris doesn't connect with the fans, the kid has little upside.
The Rock~ Chris Harris is money, strap a rocket to him
Triple H~ Chris Harris doesn't connect with the fans in my opinion, he has little upside.
WHO DO I TRUST
EDIT: I wouldn't fire him anyways because he is Austin's protege so I appreciate the positive relationship and he's not a bad worker. He also has excellent performance stats, in great shape (lol), and has an 88 in star quality.

OK, so I just got hit with an incident the day after my PPV go-home Raw, involving one of my Champions. I don't know what to do lol well, I know what to do about the title. Just not the angle I was running. But I can't stop laughing, just because of how appropriate it is.

Monday Night Raw, August 19th, 1996 One night after SummerSlam, two big matches were announced for the upcoming In Your House event. Razor Ramon, who was not pinned in last night’s Triple Threat match, challenged Ron Simmons to defend the title against him on September 22nd. Simmons accepted the challenge, setting up the main event for In Your House.
Earlier in the night, WWF President Gorilla Monsoon announced that at In Your House, there will be a twenty man battle royal, with the winner earning a shot at the WWF Championship at the October In Your House. Goldust was the first Superstar to declare his intent to participate. As the night went on, Jeff Jarrett, Ahmed Johnson, The Turkish Predator, The Rulers of the Ring and Shawn Michaels were also announced as entrants in the battle royal. With more names to be announced in coming weeks, one can only imagine who will ultimately emerge victorious…
In the main event of Raw, Shawn Michaels battled The Ringmaster, who was accompanied by his WWF Tag Team Championship partner, Hunter Hearst Helmsley. Michaels had the match well at hand, but Helmsley’s interference led to The Ringmaster picking up the win with a modified version of the Ace Crusher. After the match, both men beat down Michaels. How will Michaels respond next week on Raw?
The Smoking Gunns were in action, defeating The Bodydonnas in a hard fought match. After the match, however, Owen Hart and The British Bulldog jumped The Gunns and beat their rivals down. It’s clear that after last night’s Triple Threat Match, nothing has been settled between the two teams…
After Rick Titan’s match, he called out Jerry Lawler, looking for a fight after Lawler’s cheap win over Mark Henry last night at SummerSlam. But as Lawler taunted Titan, Brian Christopher and Issac Yankem D.D.S. jumped Titan and the three beat him down, sending a clear message that they have the numbers, no matter how strong Mark Henry is…
Salvatore Sincere and Marty Jannetty did battle to open Raw, with Sincere picking up the victory. But after the match, Jesse James attacked Sincere, looking for payback for Sincere’s sneak attack at SummerSlam…
The Undertaker thought he had finished with Sycho Sid at SummerSlam, but on Raw, Sid disrupted The Undertaker’s match with the 1-2-3 Kid, giving The Dead Man a victory by disqualification. After the match, Sid continued to attack The Undertaker, planting him with a Powerbomb…
After weeks of hype, Rocky Maivia debuted, interrupting Jeff Jarrett’s announcement that he will be participating in the Battle Royal at In Your House. Jarrett dismissed the rookie, but Rocky promised to prove himself next week, when he makes his in-ring debut…
One night after losing a Snake Pit match to Mankind, Jake “The Snake” Roberts hinted that he isn’t done with The Deranged One just yet…
Quick Results Salvatore Sincere def. Marty Jannetty Rick Titan def. Alex Porteau The Smoking Gunns def. The Bodydonnas The Undertaker def. The 1-2-3 Kid by disqualification The Ringmaster def. Shawn Michaels
WWF Superstars, August 25th, 1996 Quick Results Al Snow def. Hakushi Bob Holly and Crash Holly def. The Goon and Brooklyn Brawler Yokozuna def. Scott Taylor Yokozuna is announced as a participant in the Battle Royal at In Your House Doug Furnas and Phillip LaFon def. The Headbangers Fatu def. Duke Droese
Monday Night Raw, August 26th, 1996 With In Your House: The Baddest Guy right around the corner, all eyes are on the field for the twenty man number one contenders battle royal. On Raw, Vader, Savio Vega, The Bodydonnas, The Undertaker and Sycho Sid were all confirmed for big match. The Undertaker, in particular, vowed to not only deal with Sid at In Your House, but become the number one contender for the WWF Championship.
Razor Ramon battled Terry Gordy in a rematch from the King of the Ring Quarterfinals. Razor picked up the win, but was attacked by WWF Champion Ron Simmons after the match. Simmons dropped Ramon with a Dominator and stood tall. How will Razor retaliate?
Last week on Raw, The Rulers of the Ring got one up on Shawn Michaels, when The Ringmaster picked up a singles win over the former WWF Champion. This week, Hunter Hearst Helmsely attempted to duplicate his partner’s success, but as the match went on, Michaels was in the driver’s seat. It was only thanks to The Ringmaster’s interference that Helmsley wasn’t pinned. Afterwards, the Tag Team Champions again beat Michaels down. Next week, Michaels and a partner of his own choosing will join forces to face the champs in a non-title match. Who will Michaels bring out to team with him and can they defeat the Champions?
Mankind defeated Aldo Montoya in singles action. After the match, Mankind issued a challenge to Jake “The Snake” Roberts, to face him in a Boiler Room Brawl at In Your House: The Baddest Guy. Another match made for the event is a tag team contest, as The Smoking Gunns will battle Owen Hart and The British Bulldog. With the rivalry escalating weekly, In Your House looks to be the final chapter in this war…
Rocky Maivia made his in-ring debut on Raw, defeating Alex Porteau. Jeff Jarrett joined Vince McMahon and Mr. Perfect on commentary for the match, observing the third-generation Superstar up close. In other news, The Turkish Predator and Salvatore Sincere also made their intentions known, The Predator’s towards the battle royal and Sincere towards Intercontinental Champion Jesse James…
Quick Results Vader def. Savio Vega Mankind def. Aldo Montoya Rocky Maivia def. Alex Porteau Razor Ramon def. Terry Gordy Shawn Michaels def. Hunter Hearst Helmsley by disqualification
On September 1st, WWF CEO Linda McMahon announced that the WWF would be presenting a new television program, Shotgun, every Saturday night at 11PM. Starting September 7th, WWF fans can expect a brand new, edgier product than they normally see on TV. This is part of an initiative by the WWF to update it’s product, while still keeping to the standards that fans have come to expect for over fifty years.
WWF Superstars, September 1st, 1996 Quick Results Steve Blackman def. The Goon A hype video airs for Chyna, a female competitor who is here to change the way women’s wrestlers are viewed in America… Doug Furnas and Phillip LaFon def. The Hardy Boyz Al Snow def. Savio Vega Yokozuna def. The Headbangers in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match 1-2-3 Kid def. Hakushi
Monday Night Raw, September 2nd, 1996 Raw was main evented by Shawn Michaels and a partner of his choosing taking on The Rulers of the Ring. Hints dropped by Michaels earlier in the week hinted at him reuniting with an old friend. But nobody expected that old friend to be Marty Jannetty! The Rulers of the Ring were looking very smug as Michaels came out by himself, but they quickly realized Michaels was more than prepared, when he introduced his partner, putting The Rockers back together, if only for one night. Michaels and Jannetty didn’t look like they lost a step, as Michaels put The Ringmaster away with Sweet Chin Music. Michaels and The Ringmaster now each hold a win over one another in the past few weeks. A rubber match seems inevitable, who will emerge victorious in this rivalry?
Sycho Sid and The Undertaker went one-on-one on Raw, in the latest chapter of their on-going rivalry. At SummerSlam, The Undertaker was victorious, but this time, Sid picked up the win on Raw, after attacking The Deadman with a chair behind the referee’s back. The Undertaker has promised to finish his business with Sid and become the next number one contender, will he be able to bounce back come In Your House: The Baddest Guy?
Mark Henry appeared for the first time since SummerSlam, challenging Jerry Lawler to a rematch at In Your House. Lawler said he would love to face Henry, but unfortunately, he already signed up to compete in the number one contenders battle royal. However, Brian Christopher and Issac Yankem are free, and they challenged Henry and Rick Titan to a match at the PPV. Henry accepted the challenge, adding another match to the card.
This Saturday night, Shotgun premieres at 11PM. On tap for the debut installment: Goldust takes on Jake “The Snake” Roberts, Ahmed Johnson battles The Turkish Predator, an in-ring interview with Rocky Maivia, Salvatore Sincere in action and plenty more…
Quick Results Owen Hart def. Billy Gunn The Godwinns def. The Bodydonnas WWF Intercontinental Champion Jesse James def. 1-2-3 Kid to retain the title Sycho Sid def. The Undertaker The Rockers def. The Rulers of the Ring
Shotgun, September 7th, 1996 As Shotgun comes on the air, Jake “The Snake” Roberts is on his way to the ring. Mankind jumps him from behind, sparking a brawl between the pair. As the two fight through the building, security and officials rush out to pull the two apart. Mankind is dragged backstage as Roberts is ordered to return to the ring for his match with Goldust. As the match begins, Mankind continues to try and return to the ring, but he is restrained. Jake starts to take control of the match, but Goldust, wily as he is, manages to steal control back and dominates for the next several minutes. Jake takes over after reversing a piledriver into a back body drop. Jake peppers Goldust with punches, but Mankind breaks free of security and returns to the ring. He charges Jake, who fells him with a right hand, but the distraction allows Goldust to deliver a Curtain Call to pick up the victory. After the match, Mankind goes after Jake again, until security once again intervenes.
After a short commercial break, Salvatore Sincere takes on Steve Blackman. The match is a hard hitting affair unlike that normally witnessed on WWF programming. Blackman, a mainstay on Superstars, is allowed to showcase his arsenal of martial arts kicks and the crowd eats it up. Likewise, Sincere is much more serious than he normally is on Raw or Superstars. Sincere ends up getting the win, cleanly, after a Sincerely Yours. As he celebrates, Jesse James runs down to attack him as it’s mentioned by the announce team of Jim Ross and Sunny that the two will meet for the Intercontinental Championship at In Your House: The Baddest Guy.
Savio Vega is backstage, chatting with Kurrgan The Bounty Hunter. Vega says it’s too bad Kurrgan couldn’t beat Vader at SummerSlam. Kurrgan says he didn’t see Vega doing much better on Raw a few weeks back. Vega tries to laugh it off, saying Vader’s just better than both of them. Kurrgan, unamused, attacks Vega, ramming his head into a wall, then Chokeslamming him on the floor. Kurrgan storms off as officials check on Vega.
Ahmed Johnson takes on The Turkish Predator next, as the feud continues between these two bitter enemies. The Predator unleashes his vicious side tonight, devastating Johnson with a two handed choke-bomb to pick up the victory. As Johnson tries to regain his footing after the match, The Predator continues to batter the King of the Ring, leaving him laying.
Rocky Maivia comes out for an interview with Vince McMahon. Rocky talks about making his debut last week on Raw and how he wants to do his father and grandfather proud. However, Jeff Jarrett disrupts the interview, first running Maivia down, then attacking the rookie, hammering him to the mat, then locking the Figure Four in around the ring post. Maivia has to be tended to by backstage personnel as the first episode of Shotgun comes to an end…

Monday Night Raw, September 9th, 1996 Ron Simmons and Razor Ramon continue to get in one another’s business as we rapidly approach In Your House: The Baddest Guy. On Raw, Razor battled his old rival Goldust, picking up the win in a hard-fought match. But as Razor celebrated, Simmons attacked his upcoming Challenger, beating him down, before leaving him laying, as he held up the WWF Championship over the fallen Ramon to end Raw…
Last week, Marty Jannetty and Shawn Michaels reunited as The Rockers to pick up a shocking upset win over The Rulers of the Ring. This week, The Ringmaster challenged Marty Jannetty to a one-on-one match on Raw. The Ringmaster would pick up the win thanks to the interference of Hunter Hearst Helmsley. Shawn Michaels saved his former partner from a beating, as they ran off the WWF Tag Team Champions. As a result of this encounter, WWF President Gorilla Monsoon has announced that next week on Raw, The Rulers of the Ring will defend their titles against The Rockers.
The Undertaker defeated Vader by disqualification, thanks to a run-in by Sid. As a result of Sid’s actions, President Monsoon has announced that this Saturday on Shotgun, The Undertaker and Sid will meet in an Asylum Match, which can only be won by pinning your opponent, with them unable to answer a ten count.
Tiger Ali Singh is coming to the WWF, where he looks to impose his will on all the WWF Superstar who get in his way. He has hinted of an army that will soon be following him. What plans does the Indian-born prince have for the World Wrestling Federation?
Quick Results Issac Yankem and Brian Christopher def. The Hardy Boyz Bart Gunn def. The British Bulldog by disqualification The Undertaker def. Vader by disqualification The Ringmaster def. Marty Jannetty The Turkish Predator def. Yokozuna Razor Ramon def. Goldust
Shotgun, September 14th, 1996 Shotgun began with a match between Terry Gordy and Bob Holly. The two engaged in what could more accurately be described as a brawl, rather than a wrestling match. In the end, Gordy picked up the win with the Asiatic Spike behind the referee’s back. Following that, Jake Roberts was being interviewed by Sunny, when Mankind attacked him with a ladder. After bloodying Jake and hitting an elbow drop off the ladder, Mankind said that was just a taste of what Roberts can expect next week at In Your House…
In tag team action, Doug Furnas and Phillip LaFon continued their undefeated streak with a win over The Goon and Brooklyn Brawler. That was followed by Jeff Jarrett defeating martial arts specialist Steve Blackman. After the match, Rocky Maivia ran out an attacked Jarrett, revenge for Jarrett’s assault on Maivia last week on Shotgun.
Following a hype package for the Tag Team Championship match this week on Raw, The Undertaker and Sycho Sid battled in an Asylum Match. Although Sid did pin The Undertaker a couple of times, The Dead Man was able to rise up before the count of ten. The match finally ended after The Undertaker Chokeslammed Sid on a flight of stairs and the psychotic Superstar was unable to answer the ten count.
Quick Results Terry Gordy def. Bob Holly Doug Furnas and Phillip LaFon def. The Goon and Brooklyn Brawler Jeff Jarrett def. Steve Blackman The Undertaker def. Sycho Sid in an Asylum Match
WWF Superstars, September 15th, 1996 Quick Results Savio Vega def. Fatu After the match, Vega called out Kurrgan The Bounty Hunter, leading to a brawl between the two. Thor The Stormbringer def. The Goon Doug Furnas and Phillip LaFon def. The Bodydonnas Sho Funaki def. Crash Holly Goldust and Vader fought to a double disqualification
Monday Night Raw, September 16th, 1996 Coming into the final Raw before In Your House: The Baddest Guy, we were scheduled to have The Rockers challenging The Rulers of the Ring for the WWF Tag Team Championship. However, prior to the match, Marty Jannetty was found beaten up backstage, the victim of a two-on-one assault by the Champions. Michaels was given time to find a replacement partner, however, shocking the fans and his opponents with his pick: Sid. Michaels and his former bodyguard faced the suddenly unprepared Champions in the main event and captured the titles after Sid pinned Helmsley following a Powerbomb. We have new Champions and with all four men set to take part in the battle royal this Sunday, one can only guess how this situation will continue to unfold…
WWF Champion Ron Simmons left his challenger for this Sunday, Razor Ramon, laying in the ring following a confrontation between the two. Simmons held up the Championship, promising that’s as close to the title as Razor will ever get…
Jake “The Snake” Roberts and Mankind had to be held apart from a brawl on Raw. Roberts was searching the basement of the arena for his enemy and found the boiler room. As he tried to bust in, Mankind surprised Jake with a sneak attack. Officials were summoned to restore order and keep the Boiler Room Brawler from happening six days early…
Jeff Jarrett challenged Rocky Maivia to an impromptu match on Raw. Jarrett dominated at first, punishing the rookie for a perceived slight, but pretty soon, Maivia had Jarrett on the ropes and wasn’t about to slow down. Jarrett tried to charge Rocky, who back body dropped him over the top rope to the floor. Rather than return to the ring, Jarrett took a walk, losing the match by count out.
Ahmed Johnson made his return after several weeks on the shelf, thanks to The Turkish Predator. Johnson interfered in The Predator’s match with Duke Droese, attacking his enemy, who won by disqualification. Both men are set to compete in this Sunday’s battle royal and this volatile pot seems set to explode at In Your House…
Another situation that could explode this Sunday is the rivalry between Mark Henry and Jerry Lawler. This Sunday, Lawler’s friends Brian Christopher and Issac Yankem will battle Henry and Titan. On Raw, after Henry and Titan defeated The Gunslingers, Christopher and Yankem attacked their upcoming opponents, sending a message six days before they clash…
In a six man preview of the Number One Contenders Battle Royal, The Undertaker and The Godwinns teamed up against Vader and The Bodydonnas. The Undertaker pinned Zip after a Tombstone, but the post-match staredown between The Dead Man and The Mastodon gave fans a tantalizing teaser of what may be this Sunday night…

Shotgun, September 21st, 1996 Shotgun began with a preview of tomorrow night’s battle royal, as Vader took on Henry Godwinn. It was a hard hitting match, but Vader picked up the win with a Vader Bomb. But as he was heading to the back, he crossed paths with The Undertaker, who was making his entrance. They had a brief staredown, before The Deadman continued his stroll to the ring. He then proceeded to face Goldust, defeating The Bizarre One in a second Battle Royal preview.
Sycho Sid was interviewed about why he helped Shawn Michaels on Raw. Sid says he has a lot to make up for and Michaels was a huge part of his early WWF career. He wishes Michaels nothing but the best, while promising to win the battle royal for him tomorrow night. He even went on to offer Michaels a title shot down the road, after he beats the Champion next month…
A six man tag followed, as Mankind, Owen Hart and The British Bulldog battled Jake “The Snake” Roberts and The Smoking Gunns. Mankind picked up the win for his team in this In Your House preview by forcing Bart Gunn to submit to the Mandible Claw. The show then ended with an interview with WWF World Heavyweight Champion Ron Simmons. Simmons promised a victory over Razor Ramon tomorrow night, as well as ending Razor’s run at the top of the card for good…

In Your House: The Baddest Guy, September 22nd, 1996 The evening kicked off with the Free-For-All, where Kurrgan The Bounty Hunter defeated Steve Blackman in a hard-fought contest.
The PPV opened with Owen Hart and The British Bulldog battling The Smoking Gunns for the vacant WWF Tag Team Championship. After a twenty two minute classic, Bulldog pinned Billy Gunn after a Powerslam to capture the titles for himself and his brother-in-law.
The Intercontinental Championship match was next, as Jesse James defended against Salvatore Sincere. Although Sincere brought his bag of dirty tricks, Jesse James was able to overcome the Italian Superstar to retain the title. However, after the match, Sincere blindsided James, then cracked him in the face with the belt. As James was busted open, Sincere dropped the bloodstained belt on James’ chest as he walked away…
In tag team action, Mark Henry and Rick Titan battled Issac Yankem and Brian Christopher. Jerry Lawler lurked at ringside during the match, but Henry and Titan were able to overcome The King and his court, as Henry forced Yankem to submit to a bear hug. Afterwards, Lawler, Yankem and Christopher attacked Henry and Titan, as this issue is far from being settled…
The Boiler Room Brawl went on next, sans commentary. For eighteen minutes, Mankind and Jake “The Snake” Roberts battled, with the viewers at home hearing only the grunts, groans, and taunts of the two competitors. Finally, the match made it’s way to the main arena, where Roberts pinned Mankind in the aisle, following a DDT on the floor.
Rocky Maivia was interviewed by Mr. Perfect. Maivia said his victory over Jeff Jarrett on Raw meant a lot, but calls Jarrett a coward. He promises that he will pick up a pinfall over Jarrett and prove, without a shadow of a doubt, that he belongs in the WWF…
The battle royal followed. Highlights of the match included Vader scoring five eliminations, including both Godwinns, Duke Droese, Savio Vega and Yokozuna, before being eliminated himself by The Undertaker; Ahmed Johnson and The Turkish Predator eliminated each other while brawling by the ropes, then traded punches as the fought up the aisle to the back; Sid tossed his former tag team partner, The 1-2-3 Kid, as well as Skip and Zip when the Bodydonnas tried to surprise the big man; Marty Jannetty looked for revenge on Hunter Hearst Helmsley and The Ringmaster for attacking him on Raw, but was eliminated by The Ringmaster; Jerry Lawler eliminated Hakushi, but then eliminated himself as Mark Henry came out to challenge The King; Jeff Jarrett was tossed by The Undertaker, as was Goldust; Undertaker and Sid faced off, but the battle was short lived as Vader returned to attack the man who eliminated him. Sid went after Vader, but The Rulers of the Ring tossed out The Undertaker; The Ringmaster and Sid brawled near the ropes, but Sid eliminated the former Tag Team Champion, but Helmsley then snuck up on Sid and tossed him out to win the match and become the number one contender for the WWF Championship.
The WWF Championship match was the final match of the night, with Ron Simmons defending the WWF Championship against Razor Ramon. After a long, draining battle, Simmons hooked in the Dominator, but Razor fought out of it. He then hit the Razor’s Edge and picked up the win to become WWF Champion! But the celebration was short lived, as Hunter Hearst Helmsley jumped Ramon after the match and laid him out with The Pedigree, sending a message to the new Champion as the PPV ended…

I have a roster full of druggies! In the week since In Your House, Ahmed Johnson and Razor Ramon checked themselves into rehab. Along with Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels, that's four guys in rehab, one of whom is my World Champion. Plus Kama just returned at the beginning of the month. And Diesel is still out until November with a torn calf. And I may have to grant The Undertaker his release because he's so miserable. I know I could use arsenic to fix shit, but I really don't want to. Just not sure how to proceed now.

I will be continuing this WWF 1996 diary, but I'm just wondering: would anyone be interested in me doing a WCW 1998 diary over in the game section? I don't want to spam this thread with my diaries, so I figured I'd gauge interest here first.

Monday Night Raw, September 23rd, 1996 The Undertaker’s recent rivalries with Sid and Mankind were intense, but they may have been nothing compared to what the Dead Man’s future holds. After The Undertaker defeated Ron Simmons in the main event of Monday Night Raw, Vader attacked The Undertaker, crushing the former WWF Champion with three Vader Bombs. Earlier in the night, Vader had vowed to make an impact after coming up short in the battle royal at In Your House. After the way Raw ended, mission accomplished…
One night after defeating Mankind in a Boiler Room Brawl, Jake Roberts took on Goldust on Raw. During the course of the match, Mankind attacked Roberts, causing Goldust to be disqualified. Mankind continued to assault Roberts, who fought back, leading to the pair brawling to the back.
Hunter Hearst Helmsley, the number one contender to new WWF Champion Razor Ramon, alongside his tag team partner The Ringmaster, vowed to capture the gold at next month’s In Your House event. Meanwhile, the man Helmsley eliminated to earn the title shot, Sycho Sid, defeated D’Lo Brown in quick fashion on Raw, his quest for the title far from over…
After defeating Isaac Yankem and Brian Christopher, along with Rick Titan, Mark Henry confronted Jerry Lawler on The King’s Court. After Lawler called Henry a fluke, Henry reminded Lawler that his win earned him a match with The King. And President Gorilla Monsoon has already informed Henry that he will get his match next month at In Your House!
The long-running rivalry between Ahmed Johnson and The Turkish Predator continued in a wild brawl on Raw. Things between the two men got so out of control that the referee was forced to throw the match out. In other action, The Godwinns defeated The Headbangers, a win that could very well put them in line for a shot at new WWF Tag Team Champions Owen Hart and The British Bulldog.

Monday Night Raw, September 30th, 1996 In the wake of Razor Ramon being stripped of the WWF Championship, Gorilla Monsoon announced that on Monday Night Raw, there would be a one night tournament, with the winner battling Hunter Hearst Helmsley at In Your House for the vacant Championship. After nearly two hours of intense competition, it came down to former Champion Ron Simmons and Sycho Sid in the finals. Simmons took the fight to Sid, but in the end, a Chokeslam and Powerbomb put Simmons away. But moments after Sid recorded the victory, he was attacked by The Rulers of the Ring, who stood tall over Sid, Helmsley in particular looking very pleased with himself. It will now be Sid vs. Helmsley at In Your House to crown a new WWF World Heavyweight Champion…
During the course of the WWF Championship Tournament, Mankind and Vader, who were not involved, made their presence felt. During Jake “The Snake” Roberts’ match with Simmons, Mankind interfered, costing his rival the quarterfinal match. Later, during Simmons semifinal match with The Undertaker, Vader attacked The Dead Man, resulting in another Simmons victory. The Mankind/Roberts rivalry seems ready to come to a head, while it remains to be seen if The Undertaker can handle the Mastodon known as Vader…

Monday Night Raw, October 7th, 1996 With In Your House thirteen days away, the show began to take shape on Monday Night Raw. Gorilla Monsoon announced that at the event, Jake “The Snake” Roberts will battle Mankind one more time, in a new match type called The Last Man Standing Match. In this match, you must incapacitate your opponent to where they are unable to answer the referee’s ten count. The show will also be named for this match type. Following that announcement, Mankind battled Savio Vega, winning by disqualification when Roberts ran in to attack his nemesis.
Earlier in the night, Sycho Sid challenged The Ringmaster to a match. During said match, Sid seemed to have The Ringmaster defeated, until Hunter Hearst Helmsley ran in and attacked his In Your House opponent. The Rulers of the Ring beat Sid down until help arrived in a most unexpected way: the return of Bret Hart. The Hitman helped Sid fight off the former Tag Team Champions, then shook the big man’s hand, as Raw came to a close…
Vader picked up a win over Duke Droese, but after the match, The Undertaker ran out and attacked The Mastodon. At In Your House: Last Man Standing, the two behemoths will go one-on-one for the first time ever.
Also added for In Your House, Owen Hart and The British Bulldog will defend the WWF Tag Team Championship against The Godwinns. In a preview of that encounter, Henry Godwinn picked up an upset win over Owen Hart.
Jeff Jarrett took on Rocky Maivia, this time picking up a tainted win with his feet on the ropes. And Tiger Ali Singh made his debut, defeating Aldo Montoya with ease.

Monday Night Raw, October 14th, 1996 Six days before In Your House: Last Man Standing, Bret Hart made his return to in-ring competition, battling Hunter Hearst Helmsley in the evening’s main event. The Hitman showed no signs of ring rust, as he took the fight to Helmsley as if he never took any time off. The Ringmaster saved Helmsley from submitting to the Sharpshooter, but Sid returned the favor from last week, saving Hart and helping him fight off the Rulers of the Ring.
In an all-star tag team encounter, The Undertaker and Jake “The Snake” Roberts took on Mankind and Vader. Although Undertaker and Roberts took the fight to Mankind and Vader, Mankind eventually put Roberts away with the Mandible Claw, building momentum heading into In Your House…
Last week on Raw, Henry Godwinn defeated Owen Hart in an upset. This week, Phineas Godwinn battled The British Bulldog. Phineas had Bulldog beaten after a Slop Drop, but Owen Hart interfered, causing the disqualification. Henry Godwinn made the save for his cousin, as the pair ran off the Champions right before In Your House: Last Man Standing.
Mark Henry will be looking for revenge at In Your House when he takes on Jerry “The King” Lawler. But on Raw, he had to take on The King’s personal royal dentist, Isaac Yankem DDS. Henry defeated Yankem, but was attacked afterwards by Lawler, who put a beating on The World’s Strongest Man ahead of their match this Sunday…
In other action, Tiger Ali Singh continued his winning ways by defeating Crash Holly, while Ron Simmons, looking to get back in contention for his WWF Championship, beat Flash Funk.

On Thursday, October 17th, Bob Holly informed WWF officials that he was checking himself into an alcohol rehabilitation center to deal with an ongoing problem. The World Wrestling Federation wishes Mr. Holly nothing but the best in his recovery.
In Your House: Last Man Standing, October 20th, 1996 The Free-For-All kicked off the night, as The Bodydonnas defeated The Smoking Gunns in a hotly contest exhibition match. Skip pinned Bart Gunn after a distraction by Sunny. After the match, however, Chyna ran out to go after Sunny, who was pulled to safety by Skip and Zip. Chyna then raised the hands of Bart and Billy, as she appears to be aligned with the former Tag Team Champions…
The show kicked off properly with the Intercontinental Championship being defended. In a rematch of last month’s In Your House, Salvatore Sincere challenged Jesse James for the gold. James valiantly defended his title, but Sincere was able to hit a low blow while the referee’s vision was impaired, then hit the Sincerely Yours to win the match and become the new Intercontinental Champion.
The Tag Team Championship was defended next, with Owen Hart and The British Bulldog battling The Godwinns. Henry and Phineas put up a tough fight, but in the end, a Powerslam by the Bulldog to Henry left the pig farmer vulnerable to the Sharpshooter, giving Hart and Bulldog the submission victory to retain the belts.
The final Championship match of the night went next, as Hunter Hearst Helmsely and Sycho Sid battled for the vacant WWF World Heavyweight Championship. Helmsley seemed to have the match won at various points, only for Sid to muscle his way out. Eventually, Sid hit the Powerbomb and went for the pin, only for The Ringmaster to place Helmsley’s foot on the bottom rope. While the referee argued with The Ringmaster, Ron Simmons ran in and hit the Dominator on Sid, then rolled Helmsley on top of him, giving Helmsley the win and the WWF World Heavyweight Championship.
Jerry Lawler came out first for his match with Mark Henry. He got on the mic and began insulting The World’s Strongest Man, drawing Henry out into the aisle. As he approached the ring, however, Brian Christopher and Isaac Yankem DDS attacked Henry from behind, beating him down. Lawler joined in, then the three threw him into the ring. As the bell sounded, Lawler made the cover, but Henry powered out at two. From there, it was all Henry, who obliterated Lawler, then dropped both Yankem and Christopher when they attempted to interfere, before finishing Lawler off with The World’s Strongest Slam for the win.
Next up, Vader and The Undertaker met in a battle of intimidating monsters. The Undertaker reminded fans of his reputation as one of the most feared men in the business when he dropped Vader with a single punch. Vader recovered, however and took charge against his opponent. After a brutal slugfest, it looked like The Undertaker had it in the bag with a Chokeslam, but Vader kicked out. Finally, Jim Cornette was able to sneak Vader his tennis racquet, which Vader used to drop the Dead Man, then finished him off with a Vader Bomb for a somewhat surprising victory.
Before the main event, The Ringmaster came out to the ring and grabbed the mic. He talked about wanting to be the best wrestler in the business and proving himself against all-comers. But there’s one man he wants to face more than anyone else, and that man is Bret Hart. The Ringmaster challenged Bret to a match at next month’s Survivor Series, a challenge The Hitman happily accepted.
Finally, it was time for the main event, the first-ever Last Man Standing Match. Mankind and Jake Roberts brutalized each other for over twenty five minutes, before fighting onto the Spanish announce table. Mankind laid Jake out and climbed up on the apron, looking for an elbow drop. Instead, Jake rolled off the table and brawled with Mankind. They ended up back on top of the table, where Jake drilled Mankind with a DDT, driving The Deranged One through the table! The referee started counting, with Jake reaching his feet at the count of seven, while Mankind was unable to answer the count, giving Jake the victory.
