Why not just re-run the cartoon so people can refresh themselves or see for the first time the characters.

Oh for f***s sake.
When are they going to learn when they hire someone who does not respect, or is willing to respect the source material the end result usually ends up being a massive turdburger?
Look at the Fantastic 4 movies... The director did not want Galactus in his original form cause he thought it was stupid.

Heh...flip the titles around and it's "DOJ BS" Which is even funnier when you consider Batman V. Superman sounds like a case before the Supreme Court. As for Goyer's comments, talk about a tale of two directions. On the one hand, you have Marvel Studios coming out with Guardians of the Galaxy in the summer and considering Grand Director/1950's Cap for Captain America 3, and on the other hand you have a Goyer almost showing open disdain for comic book fans. I think that's why Fiege/Marvel gets so much more leeway than Snyder/Goyer: Marvel has fans at the helm, DC has bean counters.

Goyer is a moron and needs to stay the f*** away from writing supherhero movie scripts. Most of his writing is absolute garbage and he's just riding on his Dark Knight trilogy success which was overseen by Christopher Nolan and Jonathan Nolan(who wrote the screenplays). I liked MOS but the biggest problem I had with it was the crappy storytelling by Goyer which is why I'm not super hyped for BvS.

Read that one of the writers from ARGO was brought in to punch up Goyer's script. Guess Affleck called in a favour.
What I hope a producer picked up Goyer's script and just started walloping him with it shouting "we need this to f***ing work! We have too much shit riding on it! Disney is laughing at us! Do f***ing better!" .. I imagine all film producers are like Malcolm Tucker.

I really enjoyed Man of Steel.
That quote by Goyer is still idiotic.
The bulk of the people who know the Justice League these days likely know them from the animated series of the early 2000's. Jon was a huge character in that. This isn't rocket science.

So, can someone translate for me, between Snyder and Goyer, who the lesser of two evils is?

He's willing to give just about everything a chance, which you clearly now can't say for Goyer.

Ben: Yeah, so argo f*** yourself.

And here is why Marvel gets preference. DC writer: "Martian Manhunter is a stupid idea for a movie". Marvel: "Yeah, talking tree and his best friend is a gun-toting raccoon".
Marvel *knows* they are writing comic book movies, DC almost seem ashamed of it. While I like Nolan's Batman, it's more a series of noir movies that happen to have Batman as opposed to a series of Batman movies. The MCU are centered around their characters. They're not incidental to the story, they *are* the story.
Also, badmouthing your fanbase is just idiotic.

I have a feeling that Davey Goyer needs to be put on a creative leash, someone to restrain him. Same with Zack Snyder too

Also, MM probably has plenty of fans from the Justice League cartoon that aired a little over a decade ago. And he was also in Smallville for a few seasons. Methinks Goyer may get canned after this movie.
