I said it in the PPV thread but I'll say it again: I'm not even upset that the Streak is over, although that is part of it. I'm pissed that it went to Brock f***ing Lesnar when it could have been an absolutely huge moment for someone like Bray (who really should have won tonight) or another up-and-comer. Instead, it goes to a part-timer who doesn't give a shit about the business or the fans and is going to be gone for months after tomorrow's Raw. Just an utter waste. Complete shit on every level.

...WHY?
That's all I want to know. WHY? Why the hell would you waste this on BROCK f***ING LESNAR, who doesn't need the rub? Not only that, you have now established that The Undertaker is officially Lesnar's bitch. He's NEVER beaten Lesnar and lost to him at HIS show.
Furthermore, I was a strong critic when this match was announced in the first place. I said there was no reason to do this match and oh, look. The STUPIDEST POSSIBLE THING EVER happens.
I'm not one of those "The Streak should never be broken" types. In no way. I do, however, believe it should be broken by someone who is being built up as the future of the industry, not a guy who walked out of the company 10 years ago and only wrestles 2-3 matches a year.
What a waste.

When he hit the 3rd F5, I really got worried. Then the ref counted 3 and I thought for sure it was a botch, they didn't even play his music right away. But it looks real. Why Lesnar? He's already got a legacy in the WWE and ending the streak doesn't do a whole lot for him, plus the match itself and the build were pretty crappy. I guess they were going for a surprise. They definitely fooled me.

This means that literally every Mania match Taker had before this is utterly meaningless and completely tarnishes his legacy.
The mysticism is dead and gone.

I have no words to convey my feelings. I was there when it started, 1-0 at Mania 7. And you think it would last longer. I was dreaming of 25-0 against Cena at 33.
Now? I feel... empty. Speechless. I know a huge part of my childhood and my wrestling fandom has passed.
I just.... what else can I say? Numb. Shock. Sad. All are in my heart. But also gratitude to Mark Callaway and all he has given for so long.
Thank you, Taker. We love you.

I guess I won't mind too much if this means Brock actually wrestles more than once every four months.
Part of me does want to see him pursue Bryan for the title after this.

Brock was absolutely the right guy to end it.
Brock/Bryan at Summerslam is gonna be huge.

This means that literally every Mania match Taker had before this is utterly meaningless and completely tarnishes his legacy. The mysticism is dead and gone. If you thought there was any mysticism left while he hobbled around as Lesnar literally tried to squeeze blood from the stone with him, then I don't know what to tell you. If his last match he went over Lesnar in a sad lame match that would have been just horrible.

Why do this after Paul Bearer's induction? Just sort of ruined the legacy.

Brock was absolutely the right guy to end it. Brock/Bryan at Summerslam is gonna be huge. There probably will be no Brock at Summerslam. I'd be surprised if he even shows up at the next Raw. He got what he wanted and he is GONE.

Pure speculation on my part.
But I'm guessing they set this match up and as it got closer and closer Undertaker realised he couldn't go anymore and it was his call to end it tonight and retire because he has high standards. I can't see Lesnar ending the streak being a long term plan because if it was having him lose to Cena and Triple H last year is even more stupid than it already was at the time.
Feels like the end of a part of my childhood.

I don't really mind that Brock broke the streak, it's the just the way they went about the streak being broken lacked much of a story.
The build up to it was just ... meh. Sure the shock factor is interesting and will get fans talking but where do you go from that?
The only thing you can do is have Brock challenge the champion, which if Bryan wins could be very interesting indeed.

To not give the rub to Roman Reigns or the next face of the WWE.
This is NEARLY DIXIE CARTER & RUSSO LEVEL TNA STUPIDITY right there.
Unbecoming of a first-class organization like WWE.

I don't buy wwe events anymore, but I follow in print. So I did not see the match. Usually I'm fine with a result as long as it did something it was supposed to do. But what in the actual f*** does this do? Brock lesnar will finish his contract and leave and the result will do nothing for wwe

well that's f***ing stupid as hell. of all the people to give the rub to, something that could really make a star out of someone, they pick a guy that has wrestled only seven matches in two years because he's an attraction and only shows up when convenient
