I hate to say it, but their best bet at this point might be to throw it back on Cena until SummerSlam/Survivor Series before transitioning it to Brock or another heel. There's nobody on the roster that is ready for the strap IMO - it's still way too early for anyone from The Shield, Bray Wyatt, Cesaro, BNB, etc. Why is it too early for someone from that group to be a transitional champion? Exactly how many days do they have to be on the roster to be "ready"? They are all already portrayed as main event-level Superstars, what is it that they gain with an extra _____ days/years/months on the roster to be ready in your opinion? It's not just "days/months/years" - it's because they're all tied up with other stories that aren't remotely close to the title scene (well, except Bray - and he definitely shouldn't be a transitional champion after jobbing clean to Cena a few times in the last couple of months). Just my opinion, but I also think the Rollins/Orton vs. Reigns/Ambrose stuff doesn't need the title yet. With someone like Reigns, specifically, there's no way that his first WWE Title win should come anywhere but at WrestleMania. Should they get an itchy trigger finger and somehow hotshot it to Rollins, fine, but I just have reservations about someone's first title run having that "transitional" stigma to it, especially given the quality of talent we're talking about.

Serious question: What is this from? GOOD TIMES. The episode where....... ......well, something very unhappy happens and, after being weirdly ok the whole episode, this is when she breaks down completely.

Sucks that he's out. It's been a topsy turvy year for Bryan to say the least. Hopefully he gets a good period of time to recover though and is 100% when he comes back. Last thing I'd want is for him to be coming back before he's ready.
Personally with Bryan out I'd put the title on Bray or Rollins coming out of MITB. You have a ready made match with Bryan for whenever he returns and both of those guys could be great as transitional champs.

So they're stripping him now because he won't be healed from NECK SURGERY in barely a month as they had hoped, and will need closer to what those actual doctors theorize.
I hate seeing him stripped of the title, but I'd rather see someone actually take the time to heal rather than rush back and risk further damage.

Bryan just can't catch a break right now. Sucks that he won't be able to compete but like a few others have said, it's better that he gets the chance to fully recover instead of rushing back and further injuring himself.

Well the original diagnosis was like a 6 week recovery time. Which is why it was kept on him. It wasn't like the Neck fusion surgery that kept Austin, Benoit, Lita etc. out of the ring for a year.

Stinks, but at least good sense has prevailed as far as his health is concerned.
Ancillary benefit of much more intriguing MITB

Apparently they're saying that Bryan's neck isn't doing well at all? f***, he might be out for a good while if that's the case.
We might be seeing Kane's final title run people.

Fair enough, I had thought the recovery time was thought to be 2 to 3 months ordinarily. So who in the ladder match wins the title? Or do they go back to the usual suspects/rotation of Cena/Orton/Sheamus? Of those, only Orton makes any sense, which would NOT surprise me. Hell, I can almost see it, they use Rollins' heel turn to get more heat for Orton.

If his neck is doing that badly, they need to let him just rest until it's fully healed and he can come back at 110 percent. I really don't want to see the guy risk his career and health so they can have a champion to parade around each week on TV. Maybe with all the concussions and injuries and such, WWE should take it as a hint to slow down a little bit. Use more of the roster so these guys aren't wrestling all the time and wearing themselves down.

It could make for a better comeback story actually. The feud with Kane, without the injury angle, was killing his momentum anyway. Time to heal properly and come back to his rightful role while crowds still want it bad will only be beneficial long term.
That said, I'll cry if they give Cena the belt with his current stale act. The new champ should be a heel.

Well, my thing is this, how many participants will be in Money in the Bank? I ask this b/c they can probably stretch out Bray and Cena another month b/c it won't be a direct one on one match, they can hold off on Rollins vs. Reigns and Ambrose vs. Orton or whatever combo of matches that will be for another one, and still have HHH vs. Reigns at Summerslam.
So my thinking is this, if it's 8 people:
Alberto Del Rio John Cena Bray Wyatt Randy Orton Seth Rollins Dean Ambrose Roman Reigns Cesaro
Or without the Shield/Evolution members:
Cena/ADR/Wyatt/Cesaro/Rusev/?/?/?

Hopefully, they still do 2 MitB matches, one for the title & the other for the briefcase.

Dude aligns himself with Hunter for a month and already wins the belt? Rollins look like a selfish prick but smart, Hunter gets to stay involved in a main event feud and Ambrose and Reigns get to look like heroes. The only thing that managed to crack The Shield being the world title is pretty cool by itself.

I have a solution : Bray Wyatt wins the MITB match for the vacant title. He then defends the title against Bryan at SummerSlam. Bryan wins the title again and lives happily after! I think that when Bryan does come back and get the title, it will likely be lost to Bray down the line. Bray as a character winning it in a ladder match from vacancy just doesn't suit him. It'd fit better if Seth wins i.t

Even Orton would be out of the loop and probably pissed, furthering the angle that Triple H has lost faith in Orton as the "face of the WWE" which was started before Mania, with Evolution only managing to exist due to common enemies, one of whom is out and the others splintered. Triple H has run out of use for Orton.

I'm gutted man. I'd just have either Rollins or Cesaro win the MITB and the title now. People might say it's too soon but from my point of view, both of them are over and would make believable champions. Especially now that Rollins has HHH and Cesaro has Heyman. I completely agree with this. Knowing WWE, we probably have another Cena reign ahead of us now though . I really really hope I am wrong
