I'd personally love it if Brock won it. And then never defended it hardly. It'd be so heelishly hypocritical of HHH & Steph to give the character such entitlement and leeway when they stripped Bryan of the belt for an injury they manufactured in storyline. And it'll just add that much more heel heat to Brock by fans who already see him as being gifted so much "undeserving" opportunity.

As everyone has said, it sucks that Bryan's hurt and the prognosis isn't great for the time being. As long as he CAN come back, however, I think it creates an amazing opportunity for another bout of wonderful storytelling in Bryan coming back and chasing the title again, winning the title eventually, and being a real champion with worthwhile opponents this time. If the crowd stays hot for Bryan through all this, you've absolutely got a lifetime company face whose REAL title reign will be nothing but profitable. If the crowd cools on him in his time off, however, you've got a ready-made heel story when he comes back. Bryan comes back and claims the crowd turned on him in his time of need, etc etc. Depending on what the roster situation is like at the time, have him team with Rollins against Reigns and Ambrose, and you could eventually see the emergence of Reigns as a company face out of this story with Bryan getting a much-deserved title reign, albeit as a heel.

I don't think anyone ever expected his title run to go this poorly both professionally (bad feud and getting stripped of the title) and personally (the passing of his father so soon after winning the title and his neck injury). The silver lining in his reign ending is that now he won't have the pressure to return and he won't pull a Cena and return WAY too early from an injury. Hopefully, they still do 2 MitB matches, one for the title & the other for the briefcase. Make Cesaro win the Briefcase and Rollins the title.

I'm so happy he's not forced to compete at Money in the Bank. He needs the rest. I also hope this means no more stretcher match with Kane and that someone like Cesaro wins the title so Bryan can come back 100% and give 110% in an awesome return match with him.

Batista quit just a month too soon! He could have been entered into the WWE WHC mitb match.

You know it's like the LAW was saying yesterday, if Bryan and Cena are out... the WWE has some serious depth issues. Who's really ready to lead? Orton was a failure. Cesaro, Rollins, and Reigns I think are the best alternatives. CM Punk? Dude's retired now.

I hate that his reign is coming to such a dire end. Kane definitely doesn't deserve it. Orton shouldn't win it again. Cena is another guy who doesn't need it.
They should just award it to Rollins. This would allow for at least 2 programs to move forward; Ambrose and Reigns. You can also have animosity with Orton and have a match there. You then build towards a program with a 100% Bryan, who would work great with Rollins and a good fit and who would sell the shit out of everything.
No more Kane. No more goddamn f***ing Kane.

Have Rey Mysterio win it tonight. He will blow up his right knee when climbing the ropes to celebrate. Strip him on the spot.

Again, I can't stress enough how much Rollins winning it would make sense given the shittiness of the ending of the Shield. It would at least be the only reasonable option as to why he did it. It wasn't for a title shot, it was for the title itself.\
WWE...do the right thing. Seth Rollins, WWE champion.

I'm gutted man. I'd just have either Rollins or Cesaro win the MITB and the title now. People might say it's too soon but from my point of view, both of them are over and would make believable champions. Especially now that Rollins has HHH and Cesaro has Heyman. Full agreement here. I want one of those two to win the title. They're established, seasoned, and ready for the next level. Last thing I want is a stale act like Cena or Orton carrying the belts again.

If it means he takes longer out to fully heal rather than rushing back and risking wrecking his body further down the line, then I'm actually happy about this. I've got to agree he's had a history of working himself halfway to death in the past because of injuries.

I don't think Cesaro is in a good role right now to win it, as cool as it would to have him to. I'd probably wait till later on this year to develop a program with someone else to pull the trigger on that.

They should do a tournament instead, a big one. I like tournaments.
But yeah, this is not encouraging news. At the same time, maybe it'll work out better in the end if he's healthy and then he by-passes that god awful Kane feud when he returns.

I really wonder who will get the title hmm....
I doubt it'll be Rollins although in theory I can see the Authority giving him the belt but still, I wonder who....
