Sucks that this ended up happening like this, as I would have loved to see him perform.

If it means he takes longer out to fully heal rather than rushing back and risking wrecking his body further down the line, then I'm actually happy about this.

I have a solution : Bray Wyatt wins the MITB match for the vacant title. He then defends the title against Bryan at SummerSlam. Bryan wins the title again and lives happily after!

I hate to say it, but their best bet at this point might be to throw it back on Cena until SummerSlam/Survivor Series before transitioning it to Brock or another heel. If they had legitimate plans for Bryan to hold the belt until Mania next year, then have Bryan win it back at SummerSlam.
There's nobody on the roster that is ready for the strap IMO - it's still way too early for anyone from The Shield, Bray Wyatt, Cesaro, BNB, etc.
The title has been devalued a TON in the last year because of the whole thing with the Age of Abeyance and now Bryan's subsequent injury.

This whole situation is just the worse, but I can only hope Bryan takes the time off he needs and comes back properly recovered. Sadly, you wonder if he'll be at the same level when he gets back.

Exactly how many days do they have to be on the roster to be "ready"? They are all already portrayed as main event-level Superstars, what is it that they gain with an extra _____ days/years/months on the roster to be ready in your opinion?

MITB with the title at stake sounds pretty cool

Just keep Bryan out until the Rumble and do the whole surprise return and win bit. Since they are taking the belt off of him, just keep him gone and healing up everything instead of just his neck.
As for the title, just go with Cena and do Cena/Brock II at Summerslam. Selfishly, I'd have another ladder match for a briefcase which Cesaro wins and use on Brock to close out Summerslam. Then Cesaro/Brock at NoC can end all screwy and let Cesaro run with the title until Rumble when Brock takes it back and sets up a match with Bryan at Mania.

I'm gutted man.
I'd just have either Rollins or Cesaro win the MITB and the title now. People might say it's too soon but from my point of view, both of them are over and would make believable champions. Especially now that Rollins has HHH and Cesaro has Heyman.

Have Bray win it, do Bryan/Bray at Summerslam and have Bryan drop it to Lesnar at the Rumble.

Strip him of the belt already.
How many more weeks of: "GIVE THE TITLES UP BRYAN!" "No, Stephanie. I won't." can they do?
Let him rest.

They should have stripped him the second they found out he needed surgery. Tempting a guy to potentially come back too soon from a neck injury is just stupid.
