Like I said about a week ago...
It's gotta be Rollins. Strip D. Bryan Danielson of the title to "award" it to Rollins, because that's the only price he's willing to pay to turn on The Shield.
That opens up possibilities automatically with a feud with a disgruntled Randy Orton, a returning Batista, Sheamus, Ambrose and Reigns, Cesaro if they decide to go that route...and matches against John Cena that WE HAVEN'T SEEN 450 TIMES!
...or they could just book a title tournament that ends with a ladder match at MITB that Rollins wins.

I really don't like the fact that Bryan's got to lose the title this way, but if its what needs to be done in order to get him healed and rested up, then so be it.

MITB match between 6-8 guys for the belt. 25 minutes in, Brock Lesnar' music hits, he and Heyman march down to the ring, Brock ploughs through 2-3 guys, steals the belt being completely fresh, walks out as champion. Heyman can carry the story for as long as needed.

I hate this idea of handing the title to Rollins.

Yeah, sadly, if he can't go with his injury, especially with potential arm issues, then it's best to drop the title.
But yeah, I'm on the Rollins bandwagon here to win at Money in the Bank. He's the guy they should put in the role of Champion. And what I'd like to see is Triple H kind of bowing to him in that he's the man now, and not have that relationship like with Randy Orton where Orton was a sidekick. I think because Rollins was apart of the crew that beat Evolution, Triple H almost has a ton of respect for him and knows that this guy is serious business. He doesn't need Triple H, and Triple H wants him as the guy.

I need to stop buying tickets to WWE Events in Grand Rapids, each time I have, something bad happens to Daniel Bryan.

I hate this idea of handing the title to Rollins. Why? It perfectly fits with a turn as ridiculous as he had on the Shield. Should he instead have turned on them just for a title shot? The same shot that essentially everyone will be competing for in MITB?

I hate this idea of handing the title to Rollins. It doesn't have to be handed to him but Hunter can easily get him a spot in the MITB match. Considering his style he should excel in that match to the point him winning it all is completely believable.

I hate this idea of handing the title to Rollins. What else do you do? Orton and Cena have been champ so many times that it's ridiculous enough, Sheamus is the US Champ, Cesaro isn't really at that point yet, BNB is IC Champ, and then what else is there? Don't say Big Show.

I hate this idea of handing the title to Rollins. It would be a terrible idea for sure.

I don't want them to use the title just to make more sense of a turn that I don't care too much about in the first place. EDIT: I hate this idea of handing the title to Rollins. Considering his style he should excel in that match to the point him winning it all is completely believable. That's very different from handing him the title. I wouldn't mind him in the match at all. Maybe put someone else in there and make it look like Rollins has an unfair advantage for a victory. If he won MITB with shenanigans it would probably get him plenty of heat.

They move forward with a terrible decision they made already? I don't see them changing their mind on what they did with the Shield, and at least with this scenario, we'll have at least 2 people get propped up by it. I hate that Bryan is injured. I hate that the Shield split. But I'm working with what we got here, and in this case...I don't think it would be a bad idea. That's very different from handing him the title. I wouldn't mind him in the match at all. Maybe put someone else in there and make it look like Rollins has an unfair advantage for a victory. If he won MITB with shenanigans it would probably get him plenty of heat. That's not a bad idea. The only problem is setting up Rollins for failure in the off chance that he wouldn't win. I mean, would you turn on your brothers for glory? Or would you turn on them for a chance to gain glory?

See my edit. I don't think the turn is nearly as terrible as some of the reactions suggest.

Seems a lot of people have either forgotten or are outright ignoring that WWE already announced that should Bryan not be able to compete at MITB the WWE Title was going up for grabs in the MITB match itself. That is a huge draw and they aren't going to change it just to "fix" something that no one knows is broken.

Your new world champion . . . THE DEMON KANE I'm hoping so badly this won't happen but I know it will. This is a damn shame, AT LAST Bryan gets his moment and then this happens.

I don't really care for it either but what other reason would Rollins have to not only turn on The Shield but to align with Hunner?
Rollins doesn't have any reason to worry about Hunner beating him down, because they just got through walking up and down all over Hunner's ass repeatedly.
Having Hunner in your corner to win is unreliable at best, because once he gets tired of you he's gonna berate you and possibly turn on you for not measuring up. Not to mention having Hunner and Steph's help is still not a guarantee for you to even win the title.
Considering the amount of ass The Shield has been kicking lately, having them in your corner would be a better bet than Hunner's legions of (ineffective) heels, crooked ref Scott Armostrong, and THE DEMON KANE who has been taking losses and beatings from D. Bryan Danielson.
Turning on The Shield for a spot in MITB or just a chance at the title seems weak as hell considering the price he had to pay (the loss of two extremely effective allies).
For that break up it's gotta be for the title...but it's not going to be anyway, so we just have to accept their weak-ass reasoning and move on.

Seems a little unfair if you've already qualified for the briefcase match if you later have a chance to win the title in another match. Perhaps a straight up title match would work, but both would be weird to do for one PPV.

I don't like the way things have happened, but this would be the best scenario to work towards a program where you'd be able to build someone else.
