So Reigns is the guy, or so WWE says.
He's not awful, but he's the weakest wrestler...and arguably weakest speaker of The Shield.
He's not really any bigger than the other two other than his arms, but that's good enough. Oh, and his long hair.
Comment in this thread how you agreed that "duh", Reigns really shouldn't be pushed like he is.

Reigns is the guy.
Bookmarked this thread so we can agree on this when he wins the title from Lesnar at Mania.

The fans prefer Ambrose and that will haunt him the rest of his career since they'll be forever linked.

If they book Brock properly (cocky mega arrogant unstoppable wrecking machine champion) then Reigns being the only one to stop him would be good.
Although I think crazy b*stard loose cannon Ambrose who is as crazy as Brock would be the more entertaining option.

I could definitely see it backfiring if they push him too hard as the "next top guy", too soon.

I will be very disappointed if Reigns beats Lesnar.

Ambrose not only has amazing promo skills, but an intensity in the ring and an "everyman" quality similar to Austin.
Rollins is aligned with most powerful heels in the company and has a crazy and impressive in-ring style that put him over in the first place.
Reigns...is big and sexy and the WWE likes him a lot.
I don't see this working all that well.

The only thing I hate is how WWE might be proclaiming this, when as of right now they don't apparently trust him enough to have a single's match on Raw.
The scripted material is also going to likely hurt him. He comes off as the kind of person who could do more by saying very little and likely could write better material himself.

I love that FAN is now proclaiming people to be failures before their super push really gets started, despite the live crowds still going nuts for the guy kicking ass and getting a "this is awesome" chant for a random staredown with HHH. Can we at least wait until something negative happens first!?

Reigns is the future. Been saying that for 6 months, not backing off now.
Dean&Seth also are, there doesn't have to be 1 guy.
But yeesh, let the dude have a singles feud before preemptive bitching.
This is just wait&see on the negative side here.

Let him fail before we proclaim him a failure.

People want a new face of the company, "anybody but Cena."
WWE allegedly (according to dirtsheets) like Reigns in that role. People say, "No, I meant my guy."
SMH.

Plans change. Ambrose has the charisma and 'it' factor to a degree in which he could force the plans to change. Just like Bryan did.

Reigns is a license to print money if they play their cards right. Rollins and Ambrose are both better in most every individual aspect of wrestling than Reigns, but Reigns just has that "it" factor.

WWE will never EVER learn.
Fans can sniff from a mile away when someone is being groomed and pushed for the top spot.
They LOVE underdogs.
The moment they sense somebody is 'The Chosen One' they lose the underdog part of their character.
Ambrose is hot, a) because he's incredibly talented but also b) because he's a credible underdog, fans know that the WWE powers-that-be decided Reigns was the man and Ambrose wasn't.
Reigns I think will still succeed, crucially because he's NOT JOHN CENA. He's a fresh face and brings variety to a tired Main Event scene that saw the Main Event of Survivor Series 2013 be RANDY ORTON vs THE BIG SHOW. Yes, in 2013 a major PPV was headlined by Randy Orton vs The Big Show.
What he will never have is the crowd adoration that Bryan/Punk/Foley/Austin could garner from the fans knowing deep down that they were never meant to be in a Main Event spot.

Roman is a guy with a f***ton of potential, if nothing else for his huge crossover appeal. Not fer nuthin, but he's a really handsome guy, and that does count for something when you need to think of who you want on your posters, or doing talk show appearances to promote your product.
I don't want him to suffer Lashley's fate and get thrown into a situation he's not ready for. I think he would benefit a lot from working with Jericho or someone who can work with what he's got going for him and help craft him.
Dean and Seth are on a higher level than he is right now, no questioning that, but they're also being pushed pretty damn hard as well. We're all getting really bitter over a situation we've envisioned that isn't particularly coming to pass as of yet. They haven't been forgotten or pushed aside.

See, the crowd doesn't ALWAYS reject superpushes.
Hogan had a rocket strapped to him from day 1. He's the biggest name ever.
More recently, before they cut Ryback off at the knees, he was getting HUGE reactions. He was in no way an underdog pre the ill-advised booking that led to him floundering.

They need to at least pump out some merch for the guy so we can see if Reigns can move it. Though to compete with Cena Reigns would have to start sewing ad space into his jacket.
