Remember when you heard rumours of a spin off for a TV show, movie series, or other propertie that never came to fruition.
I remember hearing news that there was to be a spin off of Seinfeld based on character of Kramer's lawyer Jackie Chiles.

There was that backdoor pilot for the Supernatural spinoff set in Chicago.
There was also Buffy the Animated Series, Ripper, and Faith the Vampire Slayer all from Buffy of course.

The live action Krusty The Clown spin off sounds like it would have been nightmare fuel

I always think Matt LeBlanc's spin-off of Married... With Children didn't take off, until I have to look it up and that it actually happened, and had 7 episodes. This process repeats every few years when I forget again, because why would I remember that?

The Joey spin-off from Friends.
Obviously, they decided at the last minute that even attempting such a thing would cheapen the legacy of the original and it was a foolish idea from the beginning.
Therefore, it NEVER. HAPPENED.

How I Met your Father was probably a sure thing if the How I Met Your Mother finale wasn't such a disaster

How I met your Dad was planned but thankfully it wasn't picked up for a series.

At one time there was going to be a Bulk and Skull spin-off, where the two would be running a hotel. Saban put out a direct-to-video release called The Good, the Bad and the Stupid, which was intended to test the waters for this. No one bought it, and the spinoff never happened.

There was going to be a spinoff of The Office, revolved around Dwight's life at the farm. When NBC decided not to pick it up, that pilot became an episode of The Office. And it was awful.

Call me nuts, but I seem to recall a possible spin-off of Blossom based around her brother Joey (Joey Lawrence) and friend Six (Jenna von Oy).
(Eh, it kinda happened 15 years later. Joey got his own show, paired with Melissa Joan Hart. Fun fact is that Melissa was offered the role of Six, but she turned it down to take the lead in Clarissa Explains It All. We are all better because of it.)

She died. A popular theory was that the main character was going to be number 31, and that's why we never got her name.

She died. It was suppose to be a different story with a different cast of characters in the same universe in the same city. So it was practically going to be the same exact show except with a female lead. Like they even had Meg Ryan signed to be the uncredited narrator of the show

There was also Buffy the Animated Series, Ripper, and Faith the Vampire Slayer all from Buffy of course. Never heard of the Faith show before. I remember hearing about Ripper though and feeling disappointed it never got off the ground. I think that would have been a great show with evil Giles and that other British guy who appeared sometimes.
