Here's the thing with Bryan: Whens he coming back/how healthy is he gonna be?
No one knows.
If he's back to full strength in time, and is getting the best reactions, absolutely put him at the top.
But till then, it's ludicrous to put booking plans in a nebulous holding pattern, and not push someone else in the interim.

He'll be Rybacked weeks and weeks and weeks before Mania. Let's not worry.

But that interim someone needs to be someone who already has everything together to some degrees. Reigns does not. They need someone who has the actual ability to justify a "forced" push.

Reigns is just substandard in the ring. No skills. Nothing. The moves he does have started to bore the f*** out of me. The weird faces he makes at promos are crap. His delivery is bad and I don't even think he's that good looking. Just a big guy with genetically gifted height, only pumped his hands & shoulders in the gym to have those arms, too lazy to develop any abdominals or anything, too lazy to learn more than 4 moves, screams like a caveman in the ring before delevering the ugliest spear in the business. Why just why Reigns WWE? If it isn't Ambrose, lets just boo the hell out of him starting Rumble & fell him Batista levels if he remains this same pathetic performer. Please.

They wont have the patience to pull the trigger this is WWE, 9.99 and all that. They'll strike when they think the iron is hot and be underwhelmed with the response. I think if he spends any much more time on the stick fans will grow quickly disillusioned with him.

Thing is, who exactly would feud with Brock between now and WM? Reigns is the only face right now not booked to be a total jobber bum. I was thinking they could throw the washed up crew at Brock (Jericho, RVD) to fill some PPVs. Maybe Orton turns face and jobs? But how would that make sense given Orton cannot currently get a title shot with Reigns around?
The problem with Reigns' push is that anyone who isn't a blind mark can tell Rollins and Ambrose are leagues beyond the guy. Those guys tore it up at the PPV and on Raw while Reigns and Orton were playing to crickets for 3/4 of that match.

The whole thing of "Reigns being the chosen one" really makes WWE a bit dull til Wrestlemania 31... if he's really the chosen one and they dont misstep this is the most forward booking in a long damn time..Kinda predictable if so

I don't know why WWE seem to try and set certain matches in stone long before they're due to happen, too much can go wrong: - Fans will pick somebody else (ie Ambrose) ahead of Reigns
- Fans do accept Reigns but our interest peaks a long time before WM and instead of giving Reigns the title at the logical moment they drag it out for months and interest wanes
- Unfortunate injuries/circumstances get in the way, could lead to a Ryback situation where they book themselves into a corner and may even damage a wrestlers long-term prospects
Even if it goes to plan they could end up making it too obvious resulting in any matches that take place in the intervening months to be lacking drama (see Orton vs Big Show feud). You also have the storyline issues like Roman's feud with HHH and Rollins' MitB contract, admittedly they could be used well and enhance the whole arc but it's a tricky thing to pull-off and WWE don't have the best track record recently.

I think I wouldn't resent Roman's Super Push so much if Daniel Bryan had had a proper reign as champion and #1 guy. As of now, Roman getting the match with Brock instead of DB seems like unfinished business

Here's hoping it doesn't fall apart.
Is it something a lot of people have seen from way back? Sure, but sometimes, predictability isn't bad.

Reigns just comes off very phony to me. When he speaks outside of the WWE bubble he seems alright but when he starts making those faces and those odd one liners in promos is just painful.
The dude is not ready. I believe he won't be ready in 8 months. He'll probably be ready by 2016 but he'll most likely be a forced household name by then if WWE gets their way. John Cena improved greatly in 2007 but the damage was already done.
WWE booking should reflect on what the paying WWE Network subscribers want to some extent and if they want Reigns in January then go for it if they want someone else change course or they risk repeating early 2014

I'm starting to think I'm the only one perfectly fine with Reigns.

I want to see roman winning the title and keeping for 500 days just to break CM Punk record, so we could already hear people here or in youtube bitching on how they shove roman on our throats and that we miss the good ol' days of Cena being the champion

Lesnar is such a destroyer that it doesn't matter who is "worthy" or not since all of his matches will be one sided in his favor anyway.

I want Reigns to bury Daniel Bryan in a worked shoot promo, then beat Brock for the title on some random Raw and hold it for the next three years, as Michael Cole proclaims him the greatest wrestler who ever lived while furiously jacking off on top of the announce table.

I'm starting to think I'm the only one perfectly fine with Reigns. No, I'm ok with it, but it's not unjustified. It was only a matter of time before his detractors would come out, especially after the other two members of the Shield upped their game, and Reigns really hasn't quite as much. Couple that with WWE dubbing him The Chosen One VERY early on, it was bound to happen. But yeah. I'm good with Roman Reigns still.

You do this so you can push the guy you want appropriately before his big match. You know, so you don't have a situation where the guy who won the title this year was jobbing to Bray Wyatt on two straight pay-per-views before being shoved back into the title picture
