I'd rather Reigns win the title now so that he can lose it and we can get to the part where he's Superman Punching Bo Dallas and Fandango in filler matches while everyone pretends he's still important.

Which is the right thing to do.
I for one welcome the idea of two unstoppable beasts going at it at WrestleMania. As I said in other threads, Godzilla vs King Kong for the title.

In wrestling terms, does this qualify as fear-mongering?
WON really seems to crunch it out on a regular basis.

I don't get it...I know WWE forces pretty much everything, but why does this Reigns push feel so much more forced? Is it just because it's obvious they picked him to be a main eventer since 2012? I guess if WWE has decided it absolutely has to happen, they should focus on helping Reigns improve with the time they have.

Lesnar/Goldberg coulda been awesome.
Right move on Reigns part; continue to 'season' him over the next 8 months, then big coronation at mania.

Really hoping Reigns fails a few drug tests between now and 'Mania. That's seemingly the only way to avoid the inevitable crowning of the chosen one.

If Reigns carries himself to a standard appropriate to challenge Lesnar at Mania then im for it.

More and more, I'm sorta hoping for a 450 day reign by Roman.

Honestly this makes sense. I'm not the biggest fan of Reigns, I'll admit, but if you are going to crown a new chosen one there's no better venue then at Wrestlemania and no better opponent than Brock Lesnar.
Now that said, we'll see if he can make it that far and stay as over as he is currently.

Truthfully I think most fans against this "Reigns will be the guy" notion are upset at how he is currently. I like Reigns, I think he's cool but what I don't like is the mega-forced push and how he is right now. The other two guys on the Shield are better in every area (besides power). He's not great on the mic, he's not good in the ring, it's just like Ryback getting the title from Punk when it was Ryback's time. If Reigns was good on the mic and good in the ring, if Reigns had that and wasn't pushed to the moon then I wouldn't have any problem. The problem I have is how he is and given he has 8 months to improve I'm not sure. We've seen Reigns these past 2 years, we know how he is and will he be truly ready in 8 months?
We'll see.
I'm just getting bad vibes from this. Jericho actually mentioned in an IGN interview yesterday that most times the company's "chosen guy" isn't the guy who becomes "the guy" but a guy who makes it in the company from the backdoor without anyone's notice. I get a feeling it'll happen here.
Again nothing against Reigns but I just get really bad feelings about this whole thing. It reminds me of multiple other pushes in the past and there very few times post-90s that the guy the company wants to push ends up as "the guy" and really, I don't recall that happening many times because something always screws up.

If history repeats itself, then fans will be chanting for Ambrose (or hell, maybe Bryan again if he is healthy) while Reigns wins the Rumble.
Has any "chosen one" actually panned out? Typically it's either been lightening in a bottle (Austin/Rock) or pushing someone already mega popular (Hogan). Cena didn't pan out as much as he was shoved down everyone's throat to the point where it is normal for him to be where he is. No mega star gets booed by half the audience. I think Reigns will likely have Cena's path (fans turning on him). The WWE may have the common sense to turn him when it happens though.

Unless Roman Reign's booking is vastly improved and they make him a more sympathetic character, I don't think he can get away with winning the title without any backlash. It sounds like a broken record player, but between him or Reigns assuming ideal circumstances, Daniel Bryan should beat Brock Lesnar for the title at Wrestlemania 31. WWE has already tainted Reigns with this idea of him being "The Chosen One" and he will forever have to battle this throughout his career, kind of like Triple H and being the son-in-law and whatnot.
To be straight up, I want to see Bryan win the title, and many others feel the same way. I am not 100% on Reigns winning it yet. Reigns seems to be best when favored over even more overly-pushed talent, like his reactions over Batista at the RR 2014 or some of his interactions with John Cena last month. If WWE has a storyline where Reigns maybe gets the title shot over John Cena, his title win might be more favored. If Daniel Bryan returns before WM and Reigns gets the title shot, even without a storyline, his win will not get the best reactions.

I wish they'd do it earlier just because I find "coronation" matches at Mania to be kind of flat. It's more fun when there's some suspense. Mania is the last day of Lesnar's contract. We might know by then that he's not coming back.
And are the really going to keep the championship on ice between Night of Champions and Mania, with one title defense at the Rumble? It'll be interesting to see how they swing that.

I say Brock kicks the crap out of the Usos and even the Rock during a cameo to light a fire under Romans ass. Then it helps set up a future Rock/Brock match if they still wish for one.

They need to learn you can't force this.
They didn't learn with Cena, Batista or Sheamus: forcing an unstoppable face on us makes us hate them.
Natural progression like Daniel Bryan and (I suspect) Ambrose will always outweigh.

but really, 8 months is a lifetime... Reigns could get injured or someone like Ambrose could catch fire like Bryan last year and everything could be totally different from what they are planning.
