Family Values:
Brock Edward Lesnar is the man who has been married to the love of his life, and mother of his children, for years. He has put his health and well-being on the line in various contact sports for years in the interest of providing the best possible life for them. Refused to sign with the company unless his friend/roommate also got a contract. Good friends with his mentor, Paul Heyman.
John Felix Anthony Cena Jr is the family-friendly face of the WWE...who cheated on his wife, Elizabeth, before their divorce. Rumors persist that WWE paid her off to not say anything *too* bad about their "paragon of virtue". Refuses to even consider committing to the woman he's been dating since 2012.

Yeah, but Brock left the company because he decided his health, family and happiness were more important than Vince McMahon's Travelling Circus. So... heel for life! But in the kayfabe sense, other than the announcers constantly telling me that Cena is the hero and Brock is the villain, and Heyman being obnoxious, I'm not really seeing anything that makes Brock villainous, in terms of his character. It's a very strange set up, when you look at it. In the past, the heels could always be relied on to do some heelish stuff. Whether it was cheat or brag or mock or antagonise the crowd. Brock really doesn't do any of that. His t-shirts genuinely seem to reflect his outlook on the business. He turns up, does his job, goes home. If this was a Hollywood movie (hope Vince doesn't ruin his pants, with that idea), then who would be the hero? The quiet, focused professional guy who performs to the best of his ability, or the arrogant braggadocio who goes out of his way to make fun of people, threaten people and demands everyone pay attention to him all the time?

The perfect ending to all of this would be like if it's revealed that Cena treats the make a wish kids like shit and Brock has a charitable foundation that feeds the homeless.
Heyman should produce political ads attacking Cena. "Did you know that John Cena cheated on his wife? Is this the face we want for the wwe?"

Let's start an award for the humanitarian of the year the "Brock Edward Lesnar man of the year award", his accomplishments in sports speaks for themselves, but let's look at his the man behind the cameras.
-Helped his friend Shelton Benjamin get a contract with the WWE. -Helped Danny Davis, the owner of OVW, to carry the ring on his truck and set it before the shows, yes Brock Lesnar worked ring crew despite the fact that he had the highest developmental contract of all time. -Always respected the jobbers he worked with, apologizing for being stiff to Paul London and giving him words of encouragement just to give an example. -Contrary to popular belief, he didn't broke Hardcore Holly's neck on purpose, actually according to Holly, Brock even went to the hospital with him and constantly called to check up on him. -Was so proud about his friendship with Paul Heyman that he gave him a picture of their baby daughters holding hands. -In his New Japan days, in his contract he demanded that his friend Brad Reighans traveled with him and got paid as an adviser. -Despite the fact that he had a grueling fight against Randy Couture, after he won and it was over, he invited Randy to his camp to train and hang out. -After Tony Ferguson won the ultimate fighter, he was part of Team Lesnar, Brock invited him to train in his team Death Clutch. -Dana White said that Brock called him almost crying begging him to help him tell his friend Pat Barry to retire from fighting because he was taking too much punishement and he was concerned with his health.
Lol, I'm just kidding about the award, Brock isn't perfect by any means. Brock Lesnar, like everyone else has his faults, obviously just like everyone else, but he has done good things too, he's kinda like Batista, its hard to get through him, but once you become his friend, he will always be loyal to you. This thread is awesome, obviously VKM is gonna pull some deux ex machina and f***ed it all up, when Cena stops being a bully and goes back to his bad jokes, but this week has been the most interesting character developing in the last couple of years.

Congrats, WWE. You've accidentally created your new top babyface. And, surprise, surprise, all it took was booking him to beat Cena clean...and NOT take up half an hour of TV every week to say the same thing over and over again.

He should start doing Make a Wish requests, but instead of sick children, they will come from people in trouble, like families dealing with street thugs, or hookers being mistreated by pimps, or priests being threatened by loan sharks.
Brock goes in, saves the day. Like the Equaliser.

The wishes Lesnar grants are things like "I wish that gang of Neo Nazis would stop selling meth in our neighborhood". I can just picture Brock opening that letter, mumbling "Whelp. Here comes the pain", popping his theme song cassette into his compact, and tearing ass down the interstate.

Brock, the one-man A-Team, helping the helpless and righting wrongs in bad neighbourhoods.

This is from years ago, before the Overeem fight, but here's a humble Brock.
Ultimately the fight didn't go that well for him--dual bouts of diverticulitis and 'Reem being roided to the gills will do that, but I thought this was a neat interview that shows the laid back side of Brock.

Man I gotta defend the Reem, something weird happened with his license but at the end he Nevada commission cleared him to fight. When he failed the random test months later it was because his doctor advised him to take an over the counter supplement. Brock was also scared to pull the trigger in the fight, I don't blame him, he almost died from the disease. I wish we could've seen him fighting with 100% of capacity. Brock a jam up guy he always respected his opponents and shook hands with them, except Mir who talked mad shit about Lesnar.

Touche, but Reem has been a colossal bust in the UFC, teeing off on a wounded Brock or no.

Touche, but Reem has been a colossal bust in the UFC, teeing off on a wounded Brock or no. I have a theory on why he went downhill, he switched camps, back at Golden Glory in Netherlands, the camp revolved around Alistair, he didn't has to worry about having his coaches attention divided on other fighters (like Blackzilians and Jackson's). Reem had training camps like Tyson and Mayweather, that it was all about him. On the other teams he was just another fighter not the main focus.

This thing with Lesnar is just WEIRD. I mean, after the way he left the first time, he'd been kind of swept under the rug in the company. And, of course, fans weren't exactly thrilled with his decision, either.
But, years later, we learned that it wasn't so much a case of him getting a better offer from someplace else or just "taking his ball and going home". It was a clear case of his realizing that, if he kept doing what he was doing, the way he was doing it, he was going to wind up like every other old guy on the roster. Hurt. Addicted to pain-killers (and worse). Travelling constantly. Missing his children grow up. Ultimately discarded when he was of no further use to the company. And, as a young dude with a lot of prospects, he chose to NOT keep doing that. Before he left, though, his last attempt to keep going wound up getting his friend (a licensed pilot) a steady job with a WWE paycheck.
He nearly made a pro football team WITHOUT PLAYING IN COLLEGE.
He won the friggin' UFC Championship while a disease was literally eating him from the inside.
You find out that, off camera, he's just this normal, private dude who loves his family and his friends more than anything in the world.
Whenever he DOES show up on TV, he does something worth seeing. Be it awesome matches, insane promos, or just completely random screams and lines like Say something stupid!
Now that he's back, current and former WWE guys have been nothing but complimentary about the guy's first WWE run. He did his best to take care of everybody he worked with, even if he wasn't anybody's best buddy. Even CM Punk, who by most accounts isn't the easiest person to get along with and is famously displeased with "part time" wrestlers...calls Lesnar a nice guy.
He just seems like an all around good dude. An all around good dude who could, without question, absolutely obliterate nearly any person walking the Earth.
In a rare interview about his personal life, Lesnar said "It's pretty basic. Train, sleep, family, fight. It's my life. I like it. I came from nothing, and at any moment, you can back to having nothing." Cena('s character)'s only real complaint about the dude is that he's not there every week and that he does this for money. The last part seems disingenuous coming from a guy with more cars than Jay Leno and a custom-made Cenamobile. The first part is just another reason to like Lesnar MORE. He's not there every week because, unlike EVERYBODY ELSE BEFORE HIM, he managed to get that concession from WWE. Big money. Few dates. None of the bull**** that leaves older wrestlers in such rough shape.
It's legitimately hard NOT to cheer for a guy like that.
