He also talked about what a bitch Joan Rivers was from one encounter THE DAY AFTER SHE DIED on his podcast. But he also said a lot of people loved her, one day's experience wasn't enough to judge somebody, citing everybody has their bad days and sent his thoughts to her family.

I think making sure everyone who listens to you knows how horrible she could be right after she died is a tad tasteless. No one would even tie Y2J to Joan Rivers, he could have just not even spoke on it.

I got the feeling from reading his latest that he is extremely arrogant. I think there's good and bad arrogance though. It's a good thing for people to be confident in themselves, it's when they think they are better than others that it becomes bad. It's a thin line and its pretty clear that the most successful in this business are all arrogant and many of them cross that thin line at times. Jericho undoubtedly has, but I don't think its intent. It's more of a byproduct of over-confidence.
I enjoyed his latest book despite some glaring problems I had with it. He's a great storyteller and when it was over I was disappointed in that there wasn't more told. It wasn't overly heavy on Fozzy crap like Undisputed was, but I found that he had very little introspection at all and many of the stories seemed to be there just to fill pages without a lot of context in some cases and when context was attempted it was flimsy. There seemed to be only one instance in the entire book where he came across humble and that was being "Drunkicho" in front of Shawn's kids. I find it hard to believe that was the only thing self-critical he could come up with. I'd say the thing that annoyed me the most was the CONSTANT plugging of his prior books. I don't think anyone reading this book would be unaware he had others, but he made damn sure to let everyone know about the other two on almost every page it seemed. I was entertained by the book but I wasn't moved or had an emotional response to anything except some LOL moments (Big Show and Khali espc). The amount of name dropping in the book was ridiculous as well. Here's Jericho with Tarantino! Here's Jericho with Slash! Here's Jericho with.... The story about him getting upset by the rib his friends played on him regarding a film role was also telling that he's a bit too high on himself.
I'll give him plenty of credit where it's due. He was a favorite of mine in wrestling for a long time. I liked him in WCW, even more during his first WWE run, and since that first comeback, I've enjoyed him less and less. I don't even care about his comebacks at this point because they're always going to be short and he's never going to do anything of interest that has a lasting effect. That's fine, but he's lost me in wrestling in many ways and I wouldnt rank him as high as I would've at this point.

Getting upset for Joan Rivers for having a bad comment said about her is like feeling bad for a sadomasochist getting stomped on the nuts.

But, in the grand scheme of things(as a realist), does he overstate his importance. He refers to himself as the "George Harrison" of the Attitude Era behind Austin and Rock's "Lennon and Mcartney". I found that claim laughable. There were several guys ahead of him in importance in the Attitude Era, including Foley, HHH, Taker, Big Show, Angle, probably Benoit.. Maybe even others. I guesss it depends on your view of George Harrison: he had one, maybe two, hits that he was responsible for. Other than that, he was part of the Beatles but not an essential part -- his biggest contribution was introducing them to Eastern religions, not anything musical. In the Beatles era, he was far behind the Rolling Stones and dozens of other acts in importance ... much like Jericho, who had a few major hits and definitely contributed but wasn't "next in line" behind Austin and Rock.
