I wish it could've happened years ago, but I'm glad to see the Stinger there.
Was kinda hoping Sting-Taker was off the table and Sting-HHH on, but that doesn't seem to be the suggestion.

The video they showed before his music kicked in was absolutely amazing.

I just wanted to add my voice to the chorus saying OMG IT'S THE ONE, THE ONLY STING!
As far as the music goes, I would have loved hearing the WCW "Crow" theme. But what WWE is using for him is a good choice too. I expected a lamer entrance than they came up with, so kudos to them on that. I enjoyed the debut, too -- Sting did pretty much just what he needed to do.

The last and greatest wcw holdout, 16 pages. The world is weird.
This signals, IMO, The end of Vince being the primary decision maker in wwe, Triple H was able to get Long Standing hold out Bruno Sammartino into the H.O.F and Sting who swore I think every other year he was afraid of how Vince would book him.
The only thing left would be Savage in the H.O.F

I've never been much of a Sting fan but even I was marking out like I was 10. And this was having read spoilers, knowing what was coming. Sometimes things are exciting just because they're moments

Just saw the clip. The music was bad, and Sting looked his age, but in 2014 that's the best Stinger is going to look (age does not discriminate).
The baseball bat and original Crow WCW music would have made it more epic, IMO.

I enjoyed it for what it was - probably the absolute LAST and FINAL mark-out moment involving a prominent wrestler from the good old days making his long-awaited WWF/E debut. Sting is the last one, there is literally nobody left.
Music was blah, titantron was blah (and gave away the reveal before he stepped onto the stage), the commentary was way too over the top, and Sting looks OLD. I wish this would have happened 10 years ago when the guy was still in great shape and looked 25. Lastly, the stare down took way too long and it screwed the ending to the match. Ziggler and Rollins were laying on the mat like they got hit with a giant ACME anvil for 10 minutes before Sting rolled Zigs on top for the easy 1-2-3.
Even still, I marked out like I haven't in years. I almost feel like I could put the finishing touches on my wrestling fandom now. Everything I've wanted to see since I was a young fan (mid-80s to early-90s) is over.

For those who haven't heard Sting's new theme, or just want to hear it again before forming an opinion, it's on WWE's website. www.wwe.com/videos/sting-entrance-video-26849123I watched the closing moments of Survivor Series on the live stream this morning. One thing I noticed this time around was that during the "THIS IS AWESOME!" chant, Sting turned toward the camera and gave a little smile. I thought that was cool.

Seeing Sting on WCW Worldwide was what first made me a wrestling fan. I marked like a little f***ing kid and I don't care who knows it.

The t-shirt and sweat pants bother me. Don't know why he can't wear the body suit like in 1997.
I understand the t-shirt over the body suit even but the sweat pants drive me nuts...

I wonder if he'll cut a promo tonight.
Explain why he has beef with Triple H on their way to a match at Royal Rumble, which would be the tune-up to Taker VS Sting at Mania.
But Sting VS most of WWE's big stars post-Bret Hart is a new match. Would they try to get Shawn for HBK VS Sting? Austin VS Sting? Rock VS Sting? Brock VS Sting? It goes on and on.

It loses a little of the magic with age. As a grown adult, its harder to suspend belief and get lost in the fantasy of it. I agree about the music and entrance, but it was still a moment for the ages. Exactly. If I was 15 I´d be going crazy but it was still a legendary moment Hell if Austin, my favourite of all time, came back... If I was 15, I would be going CRAZY. But now as I head towards 30? If Austin came back and he was atually getting a program and setting up a match and made an epic, destructive return and took down a bad guy with a huge pop as the glass breaks. It would be incredible. But with my older eyes I would probably notice he had lost a step or looked a bit older or something It's like Christmas. When you are a kid you are all stoked every December. As an adult all you can do is groan when you see the stuff start going up every August.

I really like the new theme. The drum beat is catchy.

I dig the new theme too, especially the guitars. Very cool. In 2006 I was feeling Sting-mania when he became champ beating Jarrett, I was Sting for Halloween that year! I liked the addition of red to his Crow facepaint as well, was different.
Anyhoo, damn good to see Sting in WWE, and his entrance could not have been more epic!

Listening to the new theme on WWE.com, I still like it but they need to cut a lot from the end of the crow intro to maybe 10 seconds before the guitars kick in.
