He's already writing one ... a comic book. Of course, in accepting that gig he probably took work away from some full-time Marvel writer who's there every day. And I bet he gets paid more for it, too. Seriously what's with you, dude? It's not even an ongoing serious, just a random one-shot. Plus, Marvel hires people for similar jobs on a semi-regular basis. Comedian Brian Posehn is doing the current deadpool run, if I recall. Everyone who does a job is technically taking it away from someone else, and getting upset over something as inane as that just shows how personally biased you are about this dude. Like I get what parallels you're trying to draw, I guess, but it doesn't really work and I dunno why you're forcing it. It's a joke. I know he's like your personal saviour and everything, Cult of Personality and all, but lighten up, Francis.

He held the world title for 434 days. How in this era is that unfulfilled potential?

Can we really call it a glass ceiling for Punk? He was pushed as a big deal from day 1, regardless of where he was on the card at any particular time. This. When he debuted on the 'new' ECW the entire show was booked around him as the main event (remember how Kelly Kelly crushed hardcore on him? and does ANYONE remember the boyfriend she came to ECW with who she dropped like a bad habit? It's not Kevin Thorn but for some reason it seems like it was Kevin Thorn.) Then he received Edge's push x infinity with his multiple Money in the Bank victories. To the point where the ppv MITB has become imho synonymous with CM Punk himself. Kinda like Smackdown being The Rock's show. Money in the Bank briefcase holders are getting dat Punk rub (especially Seth Rollins, his Twinnie). I forgot about this, and it reminds me of Punk's Survivor Series team with DX and the Hardyz here Michaels eliminates Mike Knox in 3 seconds with a super kick and then asks his team "Was he in the match? Who'd I just eliminate? Mike Knox?" As much as I like Mike Knox, he was rather forgettable.

He's going to be the new Sammartino. Longest reigning champion in the last 30 years and HHH's and Stephanie's son in law former full time wrestler will convince Punk to get inducted in the Hall of Fame in Chicago If anyone can get Punk into the HOF, it's Duke Lesnar.

He won EVERY SINGLE PPV MATCH from the day he won the title in 2011 until he lost to The Rock at the Royal Rumble. The feuds may have sucked and he quite literally was in one or two main events, but he went over every single time.

He just seemed like he wasn't treated as the biggest deal between Rock/Cena 1, Brock's return, and eventually being a prop to set up Rock/Cena 2.

I think that there are very few people who don't feel the same as Punk though. It's a product of the industry and the traditions set forth by Vince.

Being the WWE champion for 400+ days sounds great on paper, but he may as well had been the Intercontinental champion for as much as he defended the title in the middle of PPVs.

I hope that Punk responds to an invitation to be inducted with a similar response to that by the Sex Pistols to their nomination for induction into the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame. WWE needs Punk at this juncture more that Punk needs WWE. Punk is in an unprecedented position - he left near the top with a loaded bank account countered by a simple home life. He's not going to be hurting financially anytime soon.

I honestly hate how CM Punks end of WWE played out. I always see it as WWE kicking Punk out of the business. WWE has that Godfather mentality of "Nothing Personal. It's Just Business."

To be honest, I was bored of Punk by the end of his time at WWE. He looks so much better and has a bunch of millions in the bank. Time for people to stop treating him like a victim.

He broke through said glass ceiling. But then they build a new brass ceiling above him made of Brocks and Rocks and Takers.

For me, the issue of Punk not main eventing Wrestlemania or having to put Lesnar or Rock over isn't a big deal. I think he takes it way too seriously.
The more pressing concerns IMO are WWE's obliviousness on booking decisions, like thinking Batista vs Orton was what the fans wanted rather than Daniel Bryan, and rushing wrestlers to compete when they are hurt
