Yeah. The "Roman Haters" vs. The "Roman push denying contrarions" is already old. Roman is clearly being set up for big things. Not everything he does deserves a thread but, this is very symbolic whichever way you view Roman's impending push. I am surprised they didn't wait until he was solidifyed a little more. I don't think it's as much about denying Roman's push as it is about denying its importance. The guy is taking precedent over Cena. CENA. A man who has had a main event run and constant TV exposure unlike anyone before him. Even Hogan didn't get this much priority (Hogan may have been around longer and been a bigger deal, but Hogan wasn't constantly on TV every week). I don't know how a person can look at that and not think it's a big deal.

Sheamus was at the end of the Raw opening credits a year or two ago when he was at best the 4th or 5th most pushed wrestler on the show at the time. It’s really not that big of a deal. All it says is that they view Roman as one of their top stars, which we already knew.

This is a pretty big deal, and I'm kind of surprised people are so insistent that it isn't.

Sheamus didn't get over like they were hoping he would and he got sidelined repeatedly with injuries, and he's been relegated since then. But when his push was still going on, it looked as if WWE wouldn't rest until Sheamus was on top. I'm not saying or even implying that Reigns is going to be as big as Cena, or succeed in holding the torch for even a six month stretch. But they definitely want to make him The Guy, and little things like this prove how committed they are to doing so.

Lies there is a between. Lots of haters have hate boners for Reigns and want to hate f*** him. I don't blame them. You hate your mortal enemy more when he's super gorgeous with an amazing mane of hair! TOTALLY UNFAIR I don't even want to like-f*** Reigns. You keep telling yourself that but in reality you're just denying yourself. Face it you can't convince yourself that you're not attracted to Reigns, it's impossible. You have the attraction towards him. Everyone does! You can't convince yourself to not like someone or like someone.

Once again, we're suddenly treating Reigns like he's Mason Ryan. I know it was a few decades ago, but FAN used to love him as part that really old faction The Shield. Good times.

That really old faction the Shield had two obviously superior talents covering for his deficiencies. He's not Mason Ryan, but he damn sure ain't John Cena either.

Roman Reigns isn't the next John Cena. That has never has been the point when building new stars. To steal a phrase from you, "that's how the business works". WWE has always been looking for that guy who can replace their current guy once he's no longer able to go. WWE's entire system of hiring and pushing talent is based on whether or not X guy is a future main eventer. It's the reason why they don't hire talents above a certain age and the reason why guys get tossed aside when they're deemed not star worthy rather than trying to see if they'd work on a lesser scale.

I think I'm going to avoid these forums until there's an all-purpose stickied thread for Roman Reigns so that I am allowed to talk about something else for a change. The atmosphere of these boards is very hostile to Reigns fans, and I feel unwelcome.

A lot of people don't like the him. I don't consider that hostile towards his fans. All kinds of people have opinions the majority disagree with. Declaring that there is something wrong with the forum is just drawing attention negatively towards your fandom of Reigns.
Just say directly why you like him or share your opinions about him honestly. If someone gets mad at you for it that is their own stupid fault.

At least the guy you like that everyone else hates is getting pushed.

It's not that I feel bad because people disagree with me, it's that every conversation about Mania plans degenerates into an argument over Reigns, and I want to talk about scenarios that he isn't involved in.

I guess we don't have Edge around still to completely ruin his momentum, so he has that over Del Rio.

What they need is for him to narrate the intro to the show; and set up whatever wacky adventure he's getting into this week. Bakula style. "Oh boy."
