Olly: And I think that these people here and a lot of people around the whole wrestling world have had just about enough of this man(Tormund) and this man(Wun Wun) and you want to put yourself in this group? You've gotta be...kidding me!
Jon: Well the first thing you've gotta realize brother is that this right here is the future of Westeros. You can call this the New World Order of Westeros brother. These two men came from a great big organization north of the wall and everybody was wondering about who the third man was. Well who knows more about that organization than me brother!

Kind of a disappointing finale for a disappointing season. This show is getting into True Blood territory where characters you like get put into storylines that were just dreadful but there was still enough good plots that made you wade through the shit to get to the good stuff. Then as the series progresses the ratio of good story vs. shit starts to tip in favour of the latter. You start to feel nothing for characters you were once invested in and it starts to become a chore to get to the small amount of stuff worth watching.
I mean, this season has effectively killed any interest I had in Arya. The character had a ton of momentum after her story arch with the Hound. Then she ends up in Braavos washing floors for Jaqen (and I can only assume the actor playing him was told to remove any charm the character had with his first few appearances) and his annoying side kick. She gets one cool moment the entire season and then gets shit on right after. Welp, I guess she's blind now, I can't wait for the wacky hijinks she's going to get up to (nah, not really).
Sansa, a character they've built up as learning to play the game from Littlefinger, finally gets on the inside and seems to be on the verge of doing something of worth: Does nothing, get's her ass saved again, then jumps off a wall. I can't wait for wild escapades with Theon (nah, not really).
Then you had Meereen and Dorne, places were anything remotely interesting went to die. I was kind of excited at first to see Dany and Tyrion interact but soon realized that would mean that he would soon be sucked into the utter shit that is Meereen and you could say the same for Jaime and Bronn in Dorne.
I am curious to see how long Game of Thrones will keep it's status as television juggernaut, it introduced a bunch of copy cat shows and showed that killing beloved characters won't sink a series but if they keep going down this path I can see people starting to tune out. The series very well could end with a whimper rather than a bang.

I guess there is something purpose to having that one horny and useless Sand Snake. Wait...horny but useless? That Sand Snake was Rosa Mendes in disguise! At least she had something, as opposed to.... good slapping game playing girl.

You know, the show could kill off Arya, Jamie, Therion, and Dany at this point. Go for it, actually. Just please don't needlessly kill the best character in show history: Bell-ringing, slut-shaming super nun. Give that lady an Emmy...and a bell in case they don't actually give her the Emmy

I'm sorry, but I just have to say this....I hate the inclusion of the White Walkers/others/snow zombies in this story. The fights for the iron throne, the different families squabbling, the dragons reappearing in the world, the rise of Dany, the rise and fall of Tyrion, the struggles of the remaining Stark family, Dorne, and everything else is more interesting to me than these f***ing zombies. I'm so sick of zombies it isn't funny...and I realize that George didn't know Zombies were going to be such a huge thing and included in EVERYTHING today when he first wrote the novels, but it's still really annoying. I can't help but feel that the zombies are going to be that Riddler trope...y'know, villains that writers try to make so scary and so intimidating and such a threat....but they are taken out in one punch. "Oh noes, the zombies is coming! White Walkers! Texas Ranger! We're done for!" GIANT MASSIVE DRAGON FIRE "Oh, never mind they're all burned and dead, including the stupid f*** Others....okay BACK to the interesting stuff! That throne is mine I say unto thee...." I dunno, they're still more of a plot device now, something people continue to ignore even when it's on their doorstep because of petty disputes. The dragons don't seem to be too controllable still, Drogon kinda likes Dany, but he could turn around and burn the whole kingdom, while the Harpys got in a few shots, that was on the ground, whereas in the air, they can't really reach him so he can burn it all to the ground.

Well that was disappointing. I had assumed Sansa had some sort of plan when agreeing to marry Ramsay and/or Littlefinger had planned on using the chaos of battle to take Winterfell but nope.

I had no idea Lena Headey had such nice cans Sorry to ruin your day but they weren't hers, it was a body double. See, I would have pasted Lena Headey's head on a black woman's body and have no one mention it

this wasn't a season finale ..... THIS WAS THE FIRST PART OF A FRIKKING TWO PARTER
well let's get on with it
stannis isn't dead! brienne either has sympathy for him and kills a rabbit for dinner, as stupid pod drops all of them and mellisandre is such a manipulative stupid sexy bitch, look at her sneaky little look at jon when she arrived back at castle black ..... yeah she knows a LOT, saying that the bolton banners would burn, she didn't say WHO BY!!!
sansa and theon jump into frozen water
daenerys gets some time with ten thousand men and horses and WELCOME BACK VARYS, and now mereen will become the NEW CAPITAL OF WESTEROS as kings landing will probably burn down .....
myrcella is probably goldfish food, thanks to some kissy kissy poison, bronn and tyene are cute together, they make each other laugh and enjoy each others company ..... and will inevitably lop each other's limbs off
WELCOME BACK FRANKENMOUNTAIN and cersei is still got a heartbeat ..... well when i say a heart ..... lena hedley deserves an award for what she did in that episode, incredibly brave and beyond acting! well, the actress that played her body double .....
and there is NO SODDING WAY arya killed meryn trant, far too clinical and she isn't that forthright, look how she went off mission last episode when she saw him? and that whole scene back at the B&W with jaqen h'ghar and with all the "face/off"'s ending with her own (very star wars) ..... i think she is being PUNISHED for not killing the thin man, by being given hallucinogenic drugs or sommit!
and JON SNOW AIN'T DEAD either ..... yeah yeah i know but bugger all that
and the episode needed to be an hour and a half, bit of breathing space and even maybe have one of the cliffhangers solutions revealed as the final scene ..... maybe the sansa/theon death jump ..... REMEMBER SHERLOCK???
and one more thing ..... anyone NOT able to NOT look up gwendoline's lovely dress in thronecast wasn't she amazingly lovely in green, how any boy would turn away and make fun of her is beyond me ..... i would have smacked them upside the head if i got a hold of them!!!
not gonna have much fun looking at her in all that chrome .....
and that series escalated rather well ..... only about eight months to know anything about series six, and it will start at about the same time as series five did.

I thought after episode 9 and what happened with Shireen that the show was thinking of having Stannis kill the Boltons and take over as the quote unquote "main antagonist" as the man who feels that he's the one destined to bring peace and defeat the white walkers and will achieve that goal no matter the cost. A man who's sense of duty and ambitions have driven him completely off-the-rails. I felt that this would make for a very interesting story and bring about some very interesting conflicts.
Nope. He just gets killed and we have to continue to see Ramsay do the same thing he always does but this time, without Theon and Sansa. Swell.

It's the same reason why I have no ability to get invested in The Walking Dead and why I gave up on The Shield--the show makes it so glaringly obvious that the worst will happen sooner or later, and I sort of just tune out and stop caring.

Okay, so am I suddenly supposed to feel sorry for Cersei and be all mad at those meaner pants religious guys, because that's not going to happen. This is the same woman who stood by and did nothing but grin her little shit eating grin when her doofus son beheaded Ned Stark, had a dozen or more completely innocent and blameless children ripped from their mothers arms and murdered, treated her little brother like dog shit all his life, screwed her brother producing said doofus son, helped destroy her father's precious family legacy, constantly betrayed and undermined her other son's power and ruler ship over a petty stupid ass grudge/jealousy she had with his wife, and most of this was all done because some loser gypsy woman quickly told her some made up on the fly bull shit prophesy when she was a little girl.
Even the people who were yelling and calling her names were all being beaten and punished by those asshole priests so many of them "got what was coming to them" for yelling and throwing stuff. I don't feel sorry for her. Not even a tiny bit. In fact, every scene where she's suffering I find myself smiling, cheering, and being generally happy. This ISN'T a good character with some redeeming quality thrown into a bad situation or anything. All we ever get with Cersei is she "loves her children." Well, one child was a useless f*** (Tommen), one child we never even knew anything about one way or the other (Mycella), and the last and her favorite was...for a good long time...the most hated and despised little prick on the entire show (Joffrey).
None of this is moving me. All I see is a horrible person sort of getting what she should be getting for all her evil and wickedness. If the show writers want me to feel bad for her, they're failing miserably.

and most of this was all done because some loser gypsy woman quickly told her some made up on the fly bull shit prophesy when she was a little girl. Um, no. Maggie's prophecy to young Cersei was dead on. The more and more Cersei tries to circumvent it, she fulfills it. It's a great core element to her character. Not to be a booksnob, but knowing that all of her children would die before her has always been a "I hate that bitch, but she'll get whats coming to her" sweetpill anytime she would do her heinous shit in the show. Cersei won't win in the end. She can't. She is subject to the valonqor still, and its what makes her character. Watching her spin her wheels trying to avoid her fate is what to a viewer/reader gives her depth.

A lot of fans are rooting for him to kill her off, but I don't want it to be him at all. I don't want to give that bitch the satisfaction of being right. Anyone can kill Cersei, but I just couldn't stand it to be Tyrion.
