As we have done in the past with similar events, we are relaxing the "No Politics" rule for one day and one thread. All Discussion of the UK General Election is to be kept to this thread only. There are a few additional rules to this thread. It will be monitored all night. Anyone who can't obey these rules will be warned and given a temporary ban from this forum.
1. Absolutely no trolling or flaming. If you are flamed and respond with a flame, you will also be warned and suspended. It doesn't matter who "started it".
2. Be respectful of everyone's opinions. If you want to say who you voted for and why, then go ahead, just don't ask others who they voted for, that's their choice if they want to say. Of course, you are allowed to have a differing opinion and discuss the reasons why, just do it respectfully.
3. No unverified facts.
4. No Images of any form.
5. No wishing harm on Political figures or their supporters. It doesn't matter how mild you may think it is, not even "they deserve a kick in the balls".
We're trusting you to discuss this in a civil manner. If this doesn't happen, the thread will be closed and it will make us revise the current rule of allowing these occasional threads.

Just been down and casted my vote.
Done my bit to keep a certain party as far away from number 10 as possible

Voted Scottish Greens earlier today. Feeling proud I voted with my heart and not tactically.

My dad's only a few days fresh out of hospital with throat surgery and he still managed to make it to the polls.

I managed to get lost on my way to the polling station today, despite the fact that it's less than a five minute drive away from my home. It has been that kind of day. Nevertheless, my vote has been cast and I expect to wake up tomorrow morning to see that (albeit with a few polling stations still yet to declare) we have another hung parliament. What happens from then on will be the interesting part.

I think Labour are dead in the water without an SNP coalition.

Voted this morning. I live in the Tory safe seat of Folkestone so no need for tactical voting. Thus I went with my heart and voted Green.

I voted for the Lib Dems, the Seth Rollins of UK political parties. They won't even come close to winning my seat, but it is what it is.
Also I met and petted a really adorable cat on the way to the polling station, I felt like that made my decision to bother to go and vote at all 100% worth it, so that was cool.

What are everyone's predictions? Hung ( ) parliament looks almost certain from the polls, Labour will probably win most of the urban marginals in England but get shrekt by the SNP in Scotland leaving them well short of a majority. I'm going for Labour and the Tories ending up with about 270-80 seats each, the Lib Dems losing half their seats, Greens will keep their seat in Brighton, and UKIP will end up with 3-4 seats. What coalition is going to emerge from that mess?

I can see no coalition being formed and us doing this all over again in November. It all depends on the SNP really.

I think the Greens might lose there seat in Brighton, the place has been run really badly since they took over according to a radio show I listened to a couple of months ago. They actually have a recycling rate of only 25% which is hilarious considering that's there main policy is the environment.
But yeah I see a hung parliament again, no idea what will form from it though.

Voted SNP earlier on. Labour's campaign up here north of the border (with all due respect to Labour voters on here) has been an absolute shambles. Jim Murphy constantly being contradicted by Ed Miliband and Ed Balls hasn't exactly helped matters.
I think we're heading for another hung parliament, with Labour going ahead with a minority government and each issue being voted on by the SNP, Plaid Cymru and the Greens. The Tories are essentially screwed if they don't get a majority, as the Lib Dems vote has collapsed substantially and UKIP's popularity has went down since roughly January. The only way David Cameron gets back into Number 10 at this point is if Miliband lets him, which I don't think he will. His statement about letting the Tories back in rather than working with the SNP was just a bluff me thinks, trying to win back some Labour votes up here in Scotland.
It's been pretty impressive how popular the SNP have become since the referendum especially since I thought the No vote would sink them, but it's done the complete opposite. I think Nicola Sturgeon has really helped out also, as she's less divisive in terms of public opinion than Alex Salmond was (I actually met Salmond a few weeks ago, he was doing a book signing in Livingston, nice guy).

I wanted to vote Plaid but they haven't got a chance in hell of winning this seat so I went with Labour purely as a tactical move to try and keep the tories out.
I don't trust Labour any more than I do The Conservatives. In fact I despise how Labour have basically become Tory-lite but it is still much preferable to a repeat of the last 5 years.
Also the scaremongering has been ridiculous this election, not sure if its always this bad or seems worse thanks to the information age we live in.

Saw Charlie Brooker's Election Wipe last night. Marry me Philomena Cunk.

Sky News and the BBC can't talk about the election until 10PM
They got so bored on the BBC, they had a special edition of Daily Politics with Andrew Neil devoted entirely to TNA

When she said she felt like Godzilla I lost it. Will be watching Channel 4, it's on for 9 hours but none of the results start coming in until like 2am, don't think I could handle the BBC's coverage for that long.
