I am.
Cena winning only makes it even more special when he does lose.
Cena needs to have a few more big title defenses before that happens though.

You know what? Maybe they deserve those low ratings

I feel bad for people who care about the product still and amusingly laugh at myself when wwe asks itself why ratings are slowing to a drizzle.

I'm still amused at how he managed to get a more negative reception on his entrance than Public Enemy numero uno Owens.

His current shtick is having title defenses every monday. This win was pointless and did zero to help Owens, He just ends up looking like another mid card chump.

Seriously though, they not only kill Kevin Owens but they had him tap after an AA off the top rope which kills the holy shit aspect of that move. They couldn't even just let him pass out in the hold, Owens had to tap.

I'm upset at the match result, but in the back of my mind, there's a little voice in my head that is happy about it, because it means that The US Title is going to get more exposure, it's going to stay hot, it's going to give us more good matches, and its going to give us a high profile match for Summerslam.
Of course I would have been happy with it ending it here, but at least the next few weeks should make up for it.

Eh, I saw it coming. Felt too "predictable" to have Owens win one belt right after losing another, so figure they'll probably wait and have him get it in another month or so.

I smell a panic move by Vince after the low Raw ratings. I think *his* instincts are that Cena has not been looking strong enough lately, and Kevin Owens star making program is just a casualty of that panic.
In other words, business as usual.

Reposted from the PPV thread.
I'm honestly not trying to be douchey but to people going "f*** THIS COMPANY!!!" because Cena won, you might as well stop watching WWE. I'm not saying that to be mean, I say it to help you out.
Cena's on top. That's WWE's mission statement and it has been for years. Accept it or you are just gonna piss yourself off something fierce.
Me? I'm just chillin' on this forum, havin' a couple of pints, and waiting for this all to blow over.

It's the best gimmick he's had in a long time. I can't get too mad about it because: a) the US title has never been more important, and b) he's become the best part of an abysmal show.

They can't keep having these huge finisher kickout fests and trying to up the stakes again and again. No matter how much they try to make each match feel bigger and better, diminishing returns are inevitably going to set in hard, and this is the third straight one in a row. Even tonight I found myself less glued to the TV than with the last two, and I feel like if they do it again at Summerslam I'm going to pay attention to even less of it just because no matter how good the spots are, it's the same shit I've seen three times in a row. If stories aren't going to advance then there's no point in keeping my Network subscription up for months that don't contain a show they've declared to be a "big" one.

It is what it is.
I'm too desensitised to Cena for it to affect me.
I just don't understand what it accomplishes though. From a business standpoint it's quite baffling.

I'm actually glad he lost because it means the US title challenge is going to continue which is a great storyline. I'm gonna hazard a guess that Cesaro is the one to take it from him.
Now I've said that, watch it be that young, up-and-coming star, Big Show to beat him.
