"WWE is committed to embracing and celebrating individuals from all backgrounds as demonstrated by the diversity of our employees, performers and fans worldwide." Can we just make fun of this line and share photos of our favorite WWE personalities and moments being celebrated for their diversity? I'll start. That time on MLK Day a few years back when all of the black guys jobbed.
Michael Hayes still has a job.

They'll be diverse to me when they get a full blooded Arab that speaks Arabic that isn't Sami Zayn and doesn't get a stupid stereotypical racist gimmick.

See, that's just not fair. One, Piper instantly called Vince on it, and outright naming as Tony Atlas. And, the last name is actually an acronym. See? I'm Making Bucks Again

Tatanka calling out centuries of oppression against Native Americans by white people...by attacking Bobby Lashley.

I still can't believe Ron Simmons went from first black WCW Champion to a joke in the WWF.
I miss WCW.

Tatanka calling out centuries of oppression against Native Americans by white people...by attacking Bobby Lashley. I still remember laughing myself stupid over that. My 11-year-old sister was like "Um... he knows Bobby's ancestors might have a bone to pick with those same people, right?" Which had me in stitches worse than I already was. Kids being smarter than WWE "Creative". Go figure.

Not to mention: -Asian characters always being made "martial arts masters", with gimmicks straight outta 1944 and apparently are big fans of stereotypical flute music. -Vince saying the n-word on TV -Regularly encouraging "faggot" chants through the years The list goes on EDIT: Fixed my broken link, didn't realize it wasn't showing. Hopefully this picture of X-Pac in blackface worked. It has to be shown since it's not only a guy in blackface in 1998 but a moment that WWE trots out time and time again as an example of their comedic brilliance.

New Day pre-self awareness. R-Truth's awkward shuck-and-jive stuff, especially on THAT WWE scrolling banner. I still can't believe Ron Simmons went from first black WCW Champion to a joke in the WWF. I miss WCW. I miss WCW too. Also, even without the important historical significance of Simmons being the first black World Champion, his title win is just awesome and one of my favourite "underdog wins the big one" moments. The match, the sudden finish, JR's announcing, how it's sold afterwards, and the pop. It's one of those perfect moments in wrestling for me that always gets forgotten because it was WCW, and WCW pre-Monday Night Wars at that.
