I'm booing WWE and Eva Marie.
WWE for pushing her, and Eva Marie for being Eva Marie.

i don't know much about eva marie, just what i have seen from total divas. so i'll just repeat what the other girls on there said:
WHY DID IT TAKE HER TWO YEARS WITH THE WWE TO FINALLY REALIZE SHE SHOULD START TRAINING TO BE A WRESTLER?

The arm bar thing she did against Carmella was so bad. She just like held her arm with zero intensity while trying pout and swish her hair at the hard camera (and not in cool cocky way like someone like Maryse would do either.) Just like a cringeworthy super fake looking thing.

Because they didn't give a f***. Which, quite frankly, is pretty damn reckless for a lot of reasons. Forget match quality, people wrestling with little to no training (even if it's a lighting quick 2 minute match) is a good way for the person to get hurt or hurt somebody else because they don't know what they are doing.

I thought I heard that she wanted to train before but the WWE didn't want both of the new divas hired for the show to disappear from it. But my memory sucks and I may just be mixing it up with something else. But even still it's not like they had Eva really do much of anything for those 2 years... so I don't know why the WWE wouldn't let her.

They basically hired her for Total Divas without knowing why.
She had no purpose whatsoever. If they were featuring her as a rookie learning the business right from the start, that would have been fine.
But for two years they haven't provided a single logical reason why she's in the company.

I would like to squash all the comparisons to Carmella, please. Eva Marie isn't even on Carmella's level. Go back and watch her indie matches before she signed with The E. Even Bayley's pre-WWE matches were light years ahead of Eva, and some of them were pretty bad.
Carmella had to protect both herself and the match from Eva Marie. If you're in there with someone like that, I wouldn't be surprised if that were considered an occupational hazard.

I wonder if the Eva Marie defenders were also fans of Giant Gonzalez too.
People get angry all the time about people in all types of work who simply aren't good enough. Heck I'm always ranting about how the canteen staff at my work never clean their plates and nobody calls me a bitter smark about it. She's simply not good enough and until she is then they should hire someone who is capable.

I think you're confusing Carmella and KC Cassidy/Cassie/Peyton Royce (i'm not sure on her name anymore). To my knowledge, Carmella never wrestled before NXT, but I know Cassie has. vs cassie www.dailymotion.com/video/x2z994c_nxt-eva-marie-vs-cassie_sportvs carmella www.dailymotion.com/video/x33d6ga_720phd-wwe-nxt-08-26-15-eva-marie-vs-carmella_sport

I feel bad that Cassie had to lose that. But I also took note of Eva Marie's moves to see if she's improved- a suplex, a carthweel, some strikes, a sitting abdominal stretch and a Sliced Bread, which to be fair looked alright. Bring on the title match!....

Just watched her match against Carmella. Now, I'm no Eva fan and maybe it's because I've been desensitized from all the Divas matches on Raw over the years but that really wasn't all that bad. Aside from a slow cartwheel counter and a sloppy looking finish, it just seemed like a run of the mill match. Gotta give the woman credit, she's got the character pretty much down. She still looks kinda nervous taking bumps but that's to be expected I would think, given her inexperience. Certainly not the worst womens match I've seen come out of WWE.

I thought it was pretty bad. Most moves were done in slow motion, the selling looked weird, and nearly every move was at least minorly botched. Her "debut" match was a fair bit better. Not for being good, but just because it was an ordinary boring match.

I think you can give Eva Marie credit for trying to improve AND say she has no business working her way up through NXT.
Although, I'm starting to wonder if pushing the Baron Corbins and Eva Maries down in Full Sail is deliberate knowing the audience. The fans love their indy darlings and the ones that seem more interested in wrestling than modeling.
Eva's a throwback to the 2000s Maxim model signing bonanza led by Johnny Ace's penis. They know she's gonna get heat for (a) being signed for Total Divas and (b) having zero wrestling experience.
The best way to get heat down in NXT is by being in the infancy stage of your development and being put out there to win against advanced talent.

I just took it as a wrestler that was still unsure about themselves, which is dangerous in and of itself. I was just expecting like Jackie Gayda levels of bad going into it.

The moment that Eva Marie even so much as LOOKS at the NXT Women's Championship around Bayley's waist, that place will erupt with humanly inconceivable heat.

I think Eva Marie will be in a Bella's type situation where she garners so much venom for everything she did/does wrong(most of which can be over the top) that the pendulum will swing the other way in that in modicum of improvement will vastly be overblown and her being "pretty good" would probably be average to below average compared to any of the actual "pretty good" wrestlers.
Now do I think she'll ever get that good? I don't know, it's hard to explain but while it seems like some of these girls have played soccer and are in good shape they just don't seem to have that level of athleticism to become really good in such a short amount of time. Usually it looks like that moving under water with awkward pauses and stilted movement.

I wonder if the Eva Marie defenders were also fans of Giant Gonzalez too. Since I have, and will, defend Eva Marie I guess I will respond to this remark. First off when he was around as El Gigante and Giant Gonzales I was a kid and didn't care about or know what workrate was. I just thought it was cool to have someone that tall (I was a big Andre fan). Can't call myself a fan of his as I my favorites were The Rockers, Demolition, Mr. Perfect and Tatanka. So can't say I was a fan. Since you are making the comparison. There is a BIG difference between Giant Gonzales and Eva. Giant Gonzales was booked as an attraction in the two biggest companies in the world with "training" not being on the agenda. Eva Marie is training to improve and is in developmental, which is a long way off from wrestling Taker and main event stars in the two biggest companies in the world. Big difference If someone is not good enough at a job I would first ask if they were properly trained to do that job. Which will bring me to the next point: She is training right now. In your job (or any job) when you have a spot open you train someone for that spot. You don't hire a trainee and then hire another person to do that job. You work with the trainee and help them improve. When they are ready you cut them loose and the spot is filled. Right now Eva is training. She hasn't been cut loose to the main roster. She is in NXT to improve and to learn. I've watched the match with Carmella and while it wasn't a "good" match it was far from the worse match I've ever seen. I saw some postive in the match. She has her character down pretty good and also handled a pretty hostile crowd quite well nd didn't seem to get thrown off by them. The layout of the match wasn't bad but she needs to become a lot crisper with her moves but that will come with experience and more training. Trish was pretty horrible when she started and ended up becoming one of the all-time greats. Not saying Eva will become as good as Trish Stratus but if she keeps working and focused on her training I see no reason she can't become a solid mid-card women's wrestler. Will she? don't know. But that is what NXT is for, to train inexperienced workers and get them adjusted to the WWE style. If there comes a point where they believe she simply can't improve enough to be a competent worker then they'll have to make a descision to either release her or reassign her. Until then she has time to improve and work on her craft. You don't fire a trainee without giving them ample time to train.
