I like Eva, She's got a good presence and she does appear to be trying to get better and that's pretty much all I ask.
I would put her as a valet for a year or so though to give her more time.

Is there a video or gif from the botch? I can't imagine how you can botch a kick out She got hit by a move, the ref starts counting, she forgot to kick out (heck, she forgot to even MOVE) forcing the referee to stop the count and say "meh, it was only two". And the development talent *to her eternal credit* reacted as you would expect someone to react if they were a plucky underdog who were SURE they had the pin but the ref just didn't notice. I can understand the hatred for sure. But part of me is thinking... This is still NXT, not the main roster. They know what they're doing down here. They know everyone in the live crowds hates Eva Marie and loves Bayley. They know that most of the Network audience feel the same way. And they definitely know that a Bayley v Eva Marie feud will have those people invested, even if it's just on a level of "Oh, f***, don't have Bayley lose to HER". The botches don't help, sure, but the heat in the likely Bayley v Eva Marie title match will be INCREDIBLE, even if the match itself might not be. I mean, some here have already felt shivers down their spine just by Eva making the "Me want belt" motion. See, that's the thing, they don't hate her because she's a snobby, elitist priss; they hate her because she's horrible. And it's not like when Steph got heat in the ring during her early heel days with the whole "well she's horrible, but dang, she had people helping her out and cheat for her and now she won, damn her eyes!", it's "she's horrible yet without surcease she's being touted as amazing and growing by leaps and bounds and a legitimate threat to the championship". If NXT is just deciding to "roll with the botches", more power to them; that's a time honored part of wrestling booking. But for all the rigmarole they've fed about "the return of women's wrestling", they then go and try and feed this dreck to us?

From what I understand, she's being talked up by the nominated heel commentator in Corey Graves. So really, you're not meant to agree with him when he talks her up. If any of the face commentators are doing it, please correct me. All I'm really saying is that I think NXT have earned the benefit of the doubt here. Anyways, I don't even think Eva Marie is even going to win the title when the match happens. Nia Jax will probably be more likely to beat Bayley for it as the incoming "monster" of the division.

She is the least interesting part of the reality show.
Like if she was a rosa like train wreck i get it. Or even if she had a strong personality or shitty relationship.
But nope, she's just this thirty something married woman who is a model that wants to try wrestling.
I much prefer Kelly Kelly on wags because she is hot and funny.

I believe the fan pressure is getting the best of her, if WWE wants to push her as future contender, first she needs to feud with Nattie, she would learn a lot from her like Charlotte did...

That botch was all stuff for Total Divas. WWE refs are told to treat matches like shoots and she would have been counted out just like Becky Lynch was last week if it wasn't a planned spot for Total Divas.

What exactly is it about Eva Marie that causes her to get such a large defense force? Because she's "trying"? Tamina tries her hardest in the ring, Naomi tries her hardest in the ring, but they don't get nearly half of the "Hey, hey, leave her alone!" posts that Eva gets. "Eva's got great heat though!", and here's the part of the argument where everyone seems to suddenly forget what X-Pac heat is. Unless you wanna argue that the Michael Cole/Jerry Lawler feud at WM27 was fantastic because Cole managed to draw so much heat.
I mean it's like, what the f*** is so special about Eva that she's become this delicate little flower that has to be protected at all costs? Kelly Kelly never got that treatment, Maria never got that treatment, Rosa Mendes sure as hell never got that treatment.
She "tries", I'll give her that. But until she can A) learn to wrestle or at least B) learn to talk, she's nothing more in my eyes than Zack Ryder without the Y chromosome.

Aside from the "botch" the match last night wasn't bad at all. The same thing happened with Neville vs Rollins and no one got too worked up over it.
She's improving so I don't see the issue with her.

Why they would make a botch for total divas? if this was intended for NXT I could understand it since they are capable of making those things to "work the marks bro" but for total divas? An important part of the viewers in that show are boys and girls that barely watches raw and which I doubt that will exclaim "good that botch was awful, now back to my marathon of kawada vs misawa"

I get her NXT stuff will play a major part in that show but I wish they'd keep they outrageous stuff to dark matches and house shows. I don't want that "reality" blending into the wrestling shows. I guess better to keep it to NXT and early in her career than suddenly have her forget live on RAW after a few years I think, how to pin someone like Cameron.

She's booed because she sucks.
She got training? Cool. She knows how to lock up. Doesn't make her good, at all.

Guys, it wasn't a botch. Lying flat on her back for 3 seconds and not losing is her new signature move, the Flat No.

That botch was all stuff for Total Divas. WWE refs are told to treat matches like shoots and she would have been counted out just like Becky Lynch was last week if it wasn't a planned spot for Total Divas. Being fair, though, the situation of those matches are totally different. Becky Lynch was counted out in a four-way between Emma, Charlotte, Dana Brooke, and Becky Lynch- all of whom are relatively big-name stars and for whom any of the four could have conceivably won the match fairly. Eva Marie did her match in what was effectively a jobber squash- if Eva Marie got counted out, then suddenly her aura is dead as a threat (if a jobber beats her clean, it'd immediately put her back at step one) AND WWE would effectively be forced to go further with Billie Kay sooner than they should have (if she could beat Eva Marie, that's at least enough to make her hit rotation in the NXT women's picture- and even if NXT could use her, that instantly derails a lot of potential to go farther still with a bigger debut.) Put those together and it may not just be a Total Divas' thing- as far as the ramifications of the two matches can't be compared as far as what a different match result based on a botch would MEAN for the program.
