Politically Correct Master Race?
"Here, honey, open it." --Oh wow! It's the biggest paradox ever made! Thank you, dear--

I completely forgot to mention something regarding all of this, (in addition to the previously mentioned reasons why I don't PC game), and that's that I do watch a lot of YouTube videos that cover PC gaming, whether it's news or let's plays, so while I don't play games on PC myself, I'm not completely ignorant to PC gaming. It's just that I prefer gaming on my consoles, there aren't any PC exclusive games that I can think of that I'd want to play, and as I already said I watch a lot of let's plays of PC games anyway. So yeah, whatever I guess. I've never heard of this phenomenon before, but if you're still reading the comments section if any website, then you can find any group spouting hateful BS about any subgroup. I'm sure right now there's a comments section spewing insults at PC gamers, but you don't see it because its in a corner of the internet you don't frequent, so to speak. True, and those people are just as bad. I just don't like the insults and pointless arguing I see on the internet over the whole 'console vs PC' thing, when it shouldn't matter how people play their games as long as their happy. And this is the exact thing I hate. I don't know if this is meant to be a joke, but I don't find it funny in the slightest, especially considering all of the 'PC Master Race' people who take it 100% seriously. Why can't people just get along?

Protip: If you think something might be a joke on the internet, it probably is.

it's easily one of the worst and most condescending things i've ever seen online, and that's saying something.

Is this the wrong time for someone to hook me up with a link/advice for a strictly-for-gaming PC or laptop?
I just want to be able to play everything and on a system that'll run it all proficiently and look good at the same time.

My problem is that: JSRF is what I want to play, where I want to LIVE as much as possible. I bought an Xbox in 2002 to play JSRF, it died in 2010. I bought a replacement Xbox in 2012, it died in 2014 the day (the f***ing DAY!) that I got a video projector! I bought a replacement replacement Xbox in 2015, it crashed when trying to load Rokkaku Dai Heights. I bought a replacemnt copy of JSRF to play on my replacement Xbox and it crashed when trying to load Rokkaku Dai Heights. I want to play JSRF. GIVE ME A WAY TO DO THIS! Xbox, Ngage, PC! I'm not playinv favorites at this point! I second this post. I loved JSRF, but never got to finish it.

I'm more of an Intel guy (suck amd fan boys -- haha joke) and i know the rule of thumb back in 2011 was 8 gigs of ram and an i5 would do just find. However ram is cheaper now. Also buy an SSD drive for just your operating system and a another Hardrive for everything else. For example I have 5 hard drives one for windows and programs I use frequently such as firefox (suck it Chrome users -- jk) and visual studio. The other drive for music, picture, etc. The other drive for movies and other heavy media, the last drive for some games and one back up drive.

It is a really helpful community centered around building mostly gaming PCs, with many links to useful guides and other subreddits.

Nobody actually takes the PC master race thing seriously except for a bunch of nerds that think that their platform of choice matters. You just have to roll your eyes at dickheads who bring it up like they think it's a funny joke.

I can talk to you and say that PC has some benefits over consoles but in the end the only thing that matters is having fun, the plataform is secondary. Are console users dumber? No one can tell that. Dumb people exist everywhere. Nobody in real life should judge or point fingers because someone has a different opinion

PC gaming is just as valid as any type of gaming. I own a gaming PC, a Wii U and a PS4. I've only had the PS4 for two days now, but otherwise I'd say I use them all equally. I plan on adding an XBox One to the list eventually, but I bought the Wii U only two months after the PC and learned what broke means, so I'll hold off a year.

I think one of the things I definitely like more about pc compared to console is that as long as I have the internet, I'm going to have all my games on Steam. I really tend to lose discs a lot. Though I do keep my boxed editions of some games just because they look nice on my shelf, like the Starcraft 2 Trilogy

Though I do keep my boxed editions of some games just because they look nice on my shelf, like the Starcraft 2 Trilogy I think I'm coming around more on digital delivery of games on consoles too. I have Dragon Age Inquisition digitally, and Fallout 4 and WWE 2K16 on disc. When I was playing DA:I I would seamlessly switch to playing 2K16. Now that I am playing FO4, I have to get up to swap discs and it is astonishing how much effort that feels like when you didn't have to do it before. I can't recall the last time I actually re-sold a game, and they rarely come with cool instruction booklets or goodies, so really there isn't much upside to having a physical copy anymore for me.

The lack of manuals and other physical stuff is totally what converted me to being ok with digital distribution. That and being able to take my Steam profile from computer to computer. CD keys were god awful, and having a digital one linked to your account is a million times better.

As a lifelong gamer, I never understood why there are individuals who feel that other gamers are inferior to them because of which system they play on. Games are supposed to be fun and bring people together, not to alienate others based on personal preference.

The games companies have always encouraged the divisive behavior, back to the whole Sega vs Nintendo thing.

We can all agree that while Mortal Kombat on the Sega Genesis is a very good game, Donkey Kong is the best game ever.
