Words cannot describe how much I love this show. Odenkirk was great on BB, but he's really doing his best acting work, right now.

Words cannot describe how much I love this show. Odenkirk was great on BB, but he's really doing his best acting work, right now. It's funny how when he was first casted, many people speculated on how could he possibly fit in the show's tone. It was like the same debate for Bryan Cranston the producers were like we know he's great in comedy but can he act? It's amazing how so far along Odenkirk has came.

Amazing show. I'm still surprised at how many of my friends love Breaking Bad, yet haven't given this show a chance yet.

That final 10 seconds was pure gold. The build up to the squat reveal was perfection and the cops bafflement as to what it actually was. The scenes with Mike were awesome too.
Love this show.

I might go so far as to say this is already the best show on TV.

I kinda hated S2E01, but the latest episode was fantastic. I'll never say the word "cobbler" again and not think of this show.

The Mike stuff is kinda just out there right now. Its not as interesting as the Jimmy storyline.
I was thinking a lot about why Jimmy just didn't tell his boss about the commercial before hand (btw, the whole making of the commercial stuff was great - very much Slippin' Jimmy). I have 3 theories.
1) He was scared his boss wouldn't like the commercial so he wanted to show him that it would work before he shot it down. 2) He thought it might flop, so he wanted to do a test first to see if it would work. 3) He doesn't like the idea of having a "boss" he has to ask permission from. The whole thing with Kim asking him if he got the okay from the higher ups seemed to rub him the wrong way.
Either way, still an interesting set up for the next ep.
I love the low-budget fixes to the video, like how he didn't have a dolly for the shot so he used the stair chair instead. That's a classic "no-budget" film maker trick.

I turned off episode 2. Is it worth perservering with? You either like it or you don't. I think you might enjoy it, but if you've already shut it off, then you're probably not as interested in it as other people are. I absolutely love it, and so does around 90% of all the other viewers.

Yeah this season is starting off slow but it feels like some major things are already being built up. I was hoping it was going to be Gus who asked for Mike

I think the first option is the most logical, they would have most likely have shot down Jimmy's idea in favor of another bland talky advertisement that would have nominal effect. Now that I think about it if Jimmy didn't mention the retirement home by name in the commercial then there wouldn't have been much of a blow up about this by his boss. Although I don't think he'll face any serious repercussions right away due to the positive impact it had, but this is the catalyst that will eventually cost him the dream job by season's end.

Loved seeing Jimmy throw back the "monkey with a machine gun" comment back in his brother's face last night.

I LOVED season 1. Well-acted. I will have to wait to see Season 2 as I'm relying on Netflix.

I'm a bit more interested in Mike's story than Jimmy's right now.
