I just love this world Vince Gilligan & Co. have created. Everything is so well done from the writing, to the acting, to the way it's shot and edited is pretty much perfect to me.
Cool to see he gun dealer make an appearance. Jim Beaver is always awesome in anything he's in.
And we also found our Mike is a Vietnam vet.

I love how Chuck is the heel, but he's got a point. He's the voice of integrity that Jimmy wants to have, but lacks. Then at the same time, he's just as ruthless as Jimmy, just in a more controlled, measured way. The "roll around in the dirt with me" scene was spectacular.
I wish I'm a tenth of the badass that Mike is when I'm that age. I've loved his character since BB, and getting an insight into what makes him Mike in S1 was some of the best TV I've ever seen. Now he's standing toe to toe with Tuco, and taking a beating that he didn't have to take, and taunting him at the end of it. Loved the shot in the opening segment of the drawing from Kaylee on his fridge when he got the frozen strawberries out for his face. It's a great reminder that he's more than just the most badass senior citizen currently walking the Earth. He's a grandpa too.

Again, an awesome episode. The fight scene between Mike and Taco was epic, well-written and award-worthy.

We all know why.

Now they bring in Tio? Mike's plot line is getting better every episode. Granted, I'm also interested with what's happening with Jimmy and Kim, but it's just crazy to see a guy like Mike do what he does.

I kinda wonder if Kim might be forced by Howard and Chuck to screw Jimmy over somehow

I couldn't have been the only one who heard Bray Waytt's theme music in their head when Chuck was walking through the office with the gas lantern in hand.
Actually that would have been a good (although anachronistic) choice for background music for that or most other scenes in this series.

The show was picked up for season 3. I'm too lazy to post a link.
Only in this universe, does the ding of a bell carry so much weight.

Thought the latest episode was by far the best of the season. Can't wait to see what the next five episodes have in store for us.

I'm going to have to assume a lot of the characters in Jimmy's life end up dead considering their lack of appearance in BB.

Mike continues to be even more of a badass, not succumbing to Tio's intimidation tactic. Then of course, Tio brings in the cousins. And even when Mike finally agrees to Tio's demands, he still ends up getting ten times the initial offer. I hope he gets another solo episode soon.
As for Jimmy, I'm pretty sure Kim is a bit reluctant to take that new job offer because if she leaves HHM, then Jimmy has no reason to stay at his firm. I'm looking forward to see what they do next.

Last night's ep was a big uptick in the Slippin Jimmy factor.
TBH, Kim & Mike are great characters but I've been missing Jimmy's antics and this ep delivered two fold.
The stuff in front of the plane was terrific. Such a fun con to make his commercial and then the stuff with the Mesa Verde files - well, that was just a great scene. Only BCS can make using an exacto knife, a ruler & a gluestick seem so frickin cool.
Chuck had a good monologue in the boardroom. Very old school, salesman style. I bet if jimmy were there, he'd have approved of the tactic, though not the result.
But yeah, very fun episode.

I like how Howard Hamlin is an antagonist in this show, but he's someone not at all unlikeable. He's just the guy at the top of the pyramid, and is trying to hold things together in his firm, and I like that about him. Is this what Lawful Evil looks like?
I love seeing Jimmy turn into Saul. They're the most entertaining parts of the show, followed closely by any time Mike's on screen. He could be completely silent, and keep my attention.

AWESOME episode. Maybe my favorite of the series.
Chuck showed why he was such a valuable asset to HHM, and then quickly (in a sort of comeuppance) had his affliction get the better of him. It's like he got well enough in order to screw someone over, and then quickly reclaimed his title as the sickest man in America.
I still think Chuck's affliction is psychosomatic.
And Jimmy...oh man...while the airplane grift was fantastic, the stuff he did with the files may be my favorite masterwork of his yet. I'm itching to see what comes of the file manipulation.
Even though there are only 2 episodes left, I take comfort in knowing that Vince Gilligan won't screw over the viewers, or insult them, like the Walking Dead people did with theirs. IF there is a cliffhanger of any kind, it won't leave us feeling empty and unfulfilled.

My wife swears that Hamlin is an evil guy, but I never got that impression from him. He's a powerful lawyer with a powerful reputation, and he is only looking out for his firm and for his image as a competent lawyer. While he's been upset at times, he's never done anything that would make you hate him. As opposed to Chuck, who doesn't think twice about treating Jimmy (and now Kim) like trash.

I would say Hamlin switched from the main antagonist to just another guy when it was revealed Chuck was the one who wouldn't get Jimmy hired into the firm, and Howard was actually for hiring of Jimmy. He affectionately nicknamed him "Charlie Hustle" and put in a good word for Jimmy to get hired from that other firm. If anything the first season he was lead up to believed of being a misunderstood douchebag when he's really a good guy. Hell even with last week's episode the moment Kim revealed he was setting up her own practice, his face switched from dissapointment to being proud. Which makes sense since it sucks when an employee you like is quitting but it's worse when they are going to a rival firm. He just goes a little to far on tough love and he just wanted to keep a big time client since he's looking out for his firm. Yeah it sucks that Kim was the one who brought the client over in the first place but it's a big million dollar client at the end of the day. Chuck is the real bastard who made his own brother believe Howard his own partner was the real bad guy

No love for the latest episode? IMO it was by far the best episode they've done yet.
Any scene with Chuck in was gold.
