It's not just a young thing I see men in their 30's talk like this on Twitter. It gets quite ugly when a Yaas Queen Bae AJ fan tries to Slaay a Mom Fearless Bella Army Fan. Then King Punk and Dad Cena get into the equation and you got a Slaay War that can result in account suspensions when the other Stans just in. I hate that I understood this. Also, do these 30 year old men have diva podcasts and have effeminate voices? I don't think AJ Styles is a fan of their podcasts.

I really have nothing positive to add to this thread, as I hate that weird culture of people tweeting any celebrity tweet with 'dad' or 'queen' or what-not, but I really feel the need to tell you just how much I hate that stupid Tumblr page. Ringsideconfessions is the absolute worst of wrestling fans. Roman: "Don't make me break my foot off in yo ass!" Young people will not get this reference. Artie Lange for president.

Also, do these 30 year old men have diva podcasts and have effeminate voices? Why would they have to have naturally effeminate voices? I like that "yaaaas" is gradually becoming mainstream as a sign that gay culture, where the term originated, is becoming more accepted.

Is yaaaaas just yes in a camp tone? Is that all it is? Basically. Just an over enthused, gleeful "yes" but elongated and associated with gays, women and...cats. I think.

I don't get it. From out here, sounds dumb.
It's not for me though, I'll be 30 in a month. This doesn't harm me either, at least directly.
I do think it could be a breeding ground for emotionally stunted, unstable (wo)man-children who lack anything resembling social skills or mental toughness, because they can surround themselves with their ilk and get lost in fantasy worlds where it's okay to say terrible shit about people, and spaz out accordingly if someone insults your queen/dad/etc. And that's potentially a bad thing in terms of the common good.

It really feels like the non-union equivalent of a waifu.

I wasn't even sure the terminology were "things" honestly, but I don't participate in social media very often.
It doesn't bother me in the least but I have a feeling they will make their way into the mainstream "mom learned a new word today" lexicon in no time at all.
