I was thinking baseball outside of the pitchers. From what I've heard pitchers are in misery after they retire because the body is not designed to throw a ball like that with so much energy.
Also, maybe soccer players?
I could be completely wrong on both accounts, so 'm really curious.

Nah, soccer can get pretty crazy. I'd lean golf. Motor sports, if you can avoid the big wrecks.

If you're a clean driver and do road course-based series, Motorsport fits the bill pretty well. All it takes is one bad crash though, even on a track where you wouldn't expect high impact stuff (see Dario Franchitti's career-ender).
I think most of your baseball positions aside from pitching and catching leave you pretty well.

Golf would be my best guess.

I'd say "golf." Baseball actually has a ton of injuries. Nothing NFL levels of bad, but it's no picnic.

There is no easy way for me to say this ... I was thinking baseball outside of the pitchers. I think most of your baseball positions aside from pitching and catching leave you pretty well.

Maybe Golf or stock car racing (NASCAR).
I don't consider it a sport (because it involves ZERO athleticism), but if you go by television, poker is a 'sport.' If that's true, and you're good at it, I suppose you could really clean up at commercial tournaments or at casinos.

I want to say NASCAR if only because most of their legends aren't suffering from aftermath/effects ala the NFL.

I want to say NASCAR if only because most of their legends aren't suffering from aftermath/effects ala the NFL. That we know of. I do wonder how many pit crew workers died of mesothelioma breathing in brake dust, or drivers dying early due to breathing in carbon monoxide thru the years. Also, outside of a rare occurrence, in the major sports, I have never see anyone die on the field of play or track.

There is no easy way for me to say this ... I was thinking baseball outside of the pitchers. I think most of your baseball positions aside from pitching and catching leave you pretty well. The thing is a quick search cracking the top ten in golf makes you 15 million in 2015. 73 making at least 15 million based on contracts in 2016 in MLB (including pitchers catchers but still) and 50 plus more going to make 10 million plus those are guaranteed years. So yeah if you can be the top guy in golf vs. baseball you'll make more but there is more room in baseball to make the great money then there is in golf.

I wouldn't mind having David Ortiz's situation. Make nearly $200 million to bat four times a game and occasionally (as in maybe 15-20 games per season) play first base.

Nah, soccer can get pretty crazy. Yeah, there's a reason so many of them die of heart attacks while playing. Also motorsports requires top fitness as well, especially NASCAR and IndyCar.

Professional Gamers. I hear debates all the time on whether that is a sport or not.

For those of you saying golf I'd agree, in the short term. While golf may give you the best earning potential because you can play it the longest, it does a number on your back, knees, and especially the hip. If you can keep the flexibility you'll be fine, but if you can't, it's a world of hurt.
