Its ALL about honoring those who are struggling so said the Warrior so says Michael Cole.
Not to sound heartless but I wouldn't be surprised to see Joan Londen get What chants during her speech.

She walked out onto the entrance ramp one night on Raw during the Komen month and gave a heartfelt and actually, quite nice speech about her cancer ordeal. The only annoying thing about it was them shoehorning Cena into it when he wasn't needed.

Goes completely against Warrior's whole point of honoring people in the industry who work behind the curtain.
Nothing new I guess

Joan Lunden is going to come out during the main event and look like she's going to help Reigns and then kick him in the balls and form a new nWo with Triple H

The real sufferers are the people sitting through Raw during the build to Mania this year.

I have no idea who she is and i don't care enough to google. She used to co-host ABC's Good Morning America from the 80's to mid-90's.

Yeah, it changes what he wanted, but I'm not going to give them any crap over having an award for people battling things like diseases.

I can't think of any non-cynical reason for WWE to basically have a "cancer victim of the year" award at their Hall of Fame ceremony. It reeks of exploitation on WWE's part.

My issue is that when they gave it to Conner the Crusher, at least he was a WWE fan. This one, I don't believe for a second that this woman gives half a shit about WWE. If she did, why did they shoehorn her in the week of?

I'm amazed you actually bothered to post the image for once instead of your usual "whoarethesepeople.jpg".

The real sufferers are the people sitting through Raw during the build to Mania this year. Nah, I still think the cancer people have got it worse than people watching a dodgy TV show.

This is the first WHAT chant that would actually be contextually 100% legit and thus allowable.

I just can't stand how scummy it is to take an idea from someone who's now dead, twist it to fit your own shady agenda, and then act like it's what the person wanted when he's not around to say otherwise. Not at all saying that Connor shouldn't have received an award; I thought that was absolutely fantastic that they honored him in that fashion. But the way they're going about promoting it is terrible.

But the way they're going about promoting it is terrible. The general concept is fine for what it is, and if his family is OK enough with it to allow WWE to use his name and likeness for it, then I can't question that part of it... Their only fault really is claiming that it was what Warrior was mentioning in his speech, because that's a straight out lie, unfortunately.
