Both men are known for being cut throat, one in the ring and one outside of it. HHH is being groomed to takes Vince place(tho I expect Vince to live forever). So far HHH hasn't had many transgressions in office so we will stick mostly to his in ring career in regards to him being petty.
HHH has an inferiority complex when it comes to himself against Austin & Rock. He's been chasing them his whole career and falls flat of their accolades. Damn good career but whenever he tries to prove he's on their level you can see the wheels turning in his head.
Vince has made a fortune trampling on others to get where he's at. His shitting on WCW after WWE won was beyond petty but somewhat in a crude sense justified because of how low WWE was only a few years before.
This isn't to say both guys haven't done good. Just more focused on how petty they were.

I think the whole ENOS! thing makes Vince the winner. Counterpoint: They wouldn't let video game sites show images of Video Game HHH looking weak. Not even Real HHH, but the virtual version.

That's like asking what's hotter, the sun or a star. They're both cartoonishly, infantilely, inhumanly petty.

Go watch Mania 31 with Sting versus HHH. It might be a wash. The very definition of petty, Vince and company still cannot get over the fact that another wrestling company gave them a run for their money. They cry foul over so many things WCW did to them, although they used a lot of those tactics in their national expansion in 1984. Vince's pettiness and Haitch too, makes me still hope that another wrestling company will rise up and give WWE a swift kick in the ass and shake them out of their complacency.

After everything Triple H had said about Warrior, he was able to put that behind him and get Warrior back into good graces with WWE.
Vince is the more petty of the 2.

I think the whole ENOS! thing makes Vince the winner. Every time Mike Enos shows up on Nitro, I yell "His name is Enos!" in my best/worst Vince voice.

By that same token though, Sable sued the company for a ton of money and was welcomed back. It's not like Vince is above ignoring grudges for the sake of business.

It doesn't get any more petty than mocking a guy's name on national TV then booking a main event match where the team said person owns are represented by heels... all because an event set to take place at the arena owned by said person was bumped off.

And when damn near everybody was on Vince's side. Pretty much the only ones that weren't on Vince's side were the Nuggets and the NBA office. Vince had the mainstream media on his side during that mess, and he goes out and does that skit.

Remember WrestleMania 30?
Remember Cena vs Lesnar at the following SummerSlam?
If Bryan hadn't been hurt, that was supposed to be him.
Vince is the Petty King.

Obviously not knowing that was the beginning of the end of Daniel Bryan as we know it that would of been logical conclusion for his reign to end.

Obviously not knowing that was the beginning of the end of Daniel Bryan as we know it that would of been logical conclusion for his reign to end. The fans had to hijack shows to make WWE give them what they wanted. WWE finally gives in and puts on the most satisfying WrestleMania main event in five years, if not more. And if things had gone as planned, the man of the people would've been crushed and suplexed to hell and back, made to look like a helpless child. All because the fans had finally put their foot down about the amount of crap they were willing to choke down. That's some highly concentrated pettiness right there.

I don't see how HHH is more petty than Vince when Vince runs the company and every big HHH idea has to be ran through him. For every big "Petty H" call there is best believe Vince approves it so by proxy Vince wins this.

And when damn near everybody was on Vince's side. Pretty much the only ones that weren't on Vince's side were the Nuggets and the NBA office. Vince had the mainstream media on his side during that mess, and he goes out and does that skit. One incident saw a mid-card wrestler get squashed by a main event guy coming back after a layoff. The other involved millions of real dollars in the balance and the breakdown of a real relationship between a heavily pushed employee and an employer. To even compare the two situations is pretty absurd unless the wrestler in question that's getting squahsed has enough insecurities to build a house. FFS, HHH did the exact same thing to guys that were in his position when he himself was a main event guy a little over a decade later so I don't really see why that is a definitive sign that Vince is more petty. You lost a fake wrestling match nearly 15 years earlier before having a super successful career, you should be over it, lol. It's great that he did it but I'm not gonna pat him on the back because of it.
