Just imagine how absolutely insane this would've sounded even a year ago.

Awesome. A true heel, cheap way out to get the title. Prolongs the feud.
I kept waiting for "HERE COMES THE MONEY!" and am so glad it never happened.

Incredible. Just 8 months in the company and he cleanly defeated Cena and became WWE Champ the following months. With the WWE championship AJ Styles has become one of the most decorated journeymen of all time.

Fantastic!
The guy deserves it for sure! The ending even gave an option for a feud.
Can't wait to see what they do with AJ from now on!

Great match. Would have loved AJ winning the Title clean then using heel tactics to keep it, but this is fine. Ambrose was insanely good in that match too, props to him. Hope he gets another big win soon.

What would have been more insane to predict in 2010, that AJ Styles would be WWE champion or that Jon Moxley would be WWE Champion?

Congratulations to AJ. Best wrestler in the WWE at the moment by a country mile.
Shout out to Ambrose too, that match was my favourite in-ring performance by him so far

Bit of perspective...
Sammartino Backlund Hogan Andre Savage Warrior Undertaker Flair Hart Michaels Austin Rock Foley Triple H Angle Lesnar Cena Orton Batista Punk Bryan Rollins Reigns Ambrose
And now... STYLES. The 48th WWE World Champion.

I'm so f***ing happy. For over 10 years I thought about this day, and it finally happened.
Completely amazing. Well done everyone involved.

TNA's streak of L's continues in the biggest way imaginable as the man they thought wasn't a big star, has now become the champion in the biggest company in the world. He is truly the face that runs the place.

Safe to say he's losing it to Cena, but hopefully not too immediately. Let him have a good run first

Never expected to see "The Face of TNA" as WWE Champion. Well deserved, he's been brilliant in WWE.
